Show…read moreup for our paid for stay and for an hour waited trying to get ahold of the office, locked and empty. But we go to our spot anyway and sure enough NO power once we hooked up there. Still couldnt get ahold of anyone. We had a friendly resident there who tried to call them too but to no avail. We eventually gave up and left and went to the most amazing place two miles from there for the same price and they took us in immediately lucky us. HOURS later we got a call back from Cottonwood. Will not be attempting to book with Cottonwood again. It should also be noted that they only have a single bathroom and shower on site and it's at the office. Poor experience all around for us unfortunately.

The night sky was beautiful with incredible sunset and starlight views. The Hill Country really, really needs rain, so landscaping was a bit rough and tumble, with brambles and stickers making dog walking through the park challenging. The location does have nice "sticker free" grass areas on either end of the property, including a large dog park at the front. Easy access to Pedernales State Park, about 15 minutes from the ranger station.

I have to update my original review because it needs it…read more I have lived at this park for over 7 years and have seen people come and go. Since it was sold a year or two ago, the owners have had troubles with different staff working here. They haven't always been the best, I'm guessing that's why the turnover. Fast forward to this month and another new group in the office. I travel for work all but 4-5 weeks a year, so I'm rarely "home." I have now been introduced to Amanda. She is very communicative about anything happening within the park. I recently left for another assignment, and I had unexpected packages arrive. Amanda sent an email, and I had to let her know I was gone from the park until January. Her and I brainstormed a bit about these packages. I ended up creating 3 labels to have the items forwarded to me in Illinois. She was able to re-lable them and give me the opportunity to have UPS puck them up from the mail room. Most of the time, my old neighbors just grabbed my crap and put it in my trailer. But they moved into a house, and I travel with my trailer now, so this was a unique situation. Amanda handled it like a champ. No frustrations, just good customer service. The owners have FINALLY put someone in the office who will change the recent views on the previous staff. Came to Ranch Park in Dripping Springs to see the Mayhem Monster Truck show. I've never been here…read moreand it's been ages since I've seen a monster truck show. Sounded like something fun to do after work. From the main road you can see a sign that says Ranch Park. Just follow the short road to get to the parking lot. There is a small dirt area you can park. Take the stairs down to the building. In front of the building there is parking, but on the side of the building there is even more parking. So, plenty of parking. There was a long line of people waiting to get in. But the line moved pretty fast. Didn't take long before I got inside. My ticket was a QR code on my phone. Easy to scan and go through. They did offer food once inside. Hot dogs, hamburgers, frito pie, IYKYK. Basic food. Nothing fancy. There was a small area where you could buy monster truck t-shirts, and light sticks for the kids. I think when you buy your ticket on line, you can also pay to ride in the monster truck. I think it was $15.00. And you ride in the bed of the truck in the back. The truck goes around in a circle a couple times. The truck named Tantrum was giving the rides. The show was from 6pm to 7:30pm I feel like it started later than that. Tantrum was still giving rides at 6:30pm. When the rides were over the trucks came out to introduce themselves. Then the national anthem. Then, that's when the show actually started. It was 4 monster trucks and 2 jumps. They went around in a circle, hit a couple jumps, and then let the next truck go. There was a motorcycle that came out and did a number of jumps. Pretty amazing the height he got. All in all, it was entertaining. I left a little early just to beat the traffic getting out of there. Worked out great. I am glad that I brought ear protection, just what I use when I'm at the gun range. And that worked out perfectly. Pretty much everyone there including lots of kids, all wore some kind of ear protection. Fun, entertaining night. Both young and mature.

We were literally minutes from the Perdenales Falls State Park. We enjoyed making s'mores in the outdoor fire pit and the kids loved sleeping in the loft. It was an easy drive to Johnson City to see the christmas lights and have a "fancy dinner." Most nights we cooked in the cabin and enjoyed a little quiet time. Comfy beds. Spacious Cabin. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful get away.

So here we go The humans booked us right outside of Austin, Tx at the Sun Outdoors Lake Travis RV park and we have to say we give this place 's from a dog perspective one of the things we loved the most were the 3 dog parks, so space for all of us regardless of personalities. Each dog park has a few big trees for shade, picnic bench for the humans to sit & bags and trash close by. While there are no jungle gyms for us to play on, we are ok with that as that gives us more room to run off the crazies. Also no water bowls @ 2 of the parks, but the largest did have a water bowl along with a doggie wash station The park had nice wide roads throughout so the humans can walk us and if there are any other dogs, each can pick a side of the road if needed! Also a nice off road walking path. RV site - nice and enough room between RVs so you don't feel on top of your neighbor. Usually a tree or two per site, picnic table, and grass at our site. Only downside, no fire pit but it was warm out so we didn't really miss it. Humans are happy tho, 50amp service, great water pressure, and sewer available at each site AND daily trash pick up RV park - nice wide roads, no low overhanging branches, gravel site but level enough and enough room for a 42' trailer + truck Took about 20-40 mins to get to downtown Austin depending on traffic. Pool and jacuzzi for the humans, along with a airstream cafe at the pool! also a gym and a clubhouse, again for humans We would definitely stay here again, everyone was nice and the park was kept in great condition #bringfido
