Sanjana is such a talented artist. Her craft is definitely unique, and definitely bridal. She came prepared, already having a layout in mind based on the inspo and personal details I had emailed her. The result was delicate and beautiful. She kept asking me if I liked the progress, but honestly she is so creative, I kept telling her to do what she thought looked best. She also makes her own henna. It didn't have the normal strong smell, I didn't get any reactions, and the color turned out very dark - perfectly in time for my wedding events. There were many people at the Mehendi event, but she stayed professional and kept checking in to make sure I was comfortable; adjusting my dupatta and handing me sips of my drink. Due to an unforeseen circumstance with the second henna artist we booked for my mom-in-law and sister-in-law, she took it upon herself to do their henna, too. She ended up staying past the expected time, around 11pm, without complaint, and without rushing the design. She took beautiful photos and videos, and mummy-wrapped my hands and feet. Sanjana is incredibly focused, calm and down-to-earth, despite her many accomplishments. I would recommend her any day, for any event, but of course, if you are a bride, Sanjana's henna will make you feel like the most special girl. read more

I couldn't have asked for a better henna artist than Sanjana! Wedding planning was hectic, but Sanjana responded quickly and was patient with me through email (even when I asked her a million questions), and was a pleasure to chat with in-person. I chose the "lavish bride" package on just my hands (goes halfway up your arm on both sides). I told Sanjana that I liked flowers and delicate designs, but otherwise let her do her thing. First I have to say, Sanjana is so incredibly sweet and kind! I enjoyed working with her so much. She has a very calm demeanor that I really appreciated. I got my henna done at my home with a few friends around. We are laughing and goofing off but Sanjana was able to work through all that commotion. I absolutely loved my henna design that we came up with. It's exactly what I have always wanted. I'm not a fan of the full heavy bridal henna. I like when you can see the intricacies and details of the design. I got my henna done Wednesday night and my wedding was on Sunday so I needed the stain to last a long time. I followed all her instructions and I couldn't believe how much darker it got each proceeding day! (Note: I do have incredibly sweaty and warm hands so that could have definitely help darken the stain!) I highly highly recommend Sanjana! I am so glad I found her on IG. I hired Sanjana for my wedding. I'm indian and my husband is Vietnamese so we had a multi cultural wedding. I was looking to include something fun and themed to help my guests partake in the Indian culture (for many of them probably the first and only time for this). This was a smashing success with our guests and kids! They absolutely loved it! You will have no regrets booking her! Sanjana was very easy to coordinate with for our wedding and she was very flexible in accommodating my requests. She is very talented, her pricing model was very fair and worked well for us as we wanted the henna stations during the cocktail hour. My only regret as a bride was not being able to stop by, say hello and take a picture with her. We had so much going on that I wasn't able to do that. In anticipation for my wedding this coming weekend, some girlfriends and I reserved Sanjana for two hours. None of us had received henna before, so I was quite excited - particularly for me as the bride, and as an artist and appreciator of beautiful things. Sanjana has a steady hand and the stain of her work turned out rich and dark. I appreciate her attention to detail. However, she barely spoke the entire time she was here and was not very personable. I was not expecting an entertainer, but I did not feel like it was very enjoyable for her nor did it feel like a special moment. I don't believe that she even wished me well for my nuptials. I was also disappointed that she did not bring any large images of her work. Sanjana had her phone with her for us to look at her designs, though she often needed it to look at while she was working. She was packed up and ready to go at exactly two hours, giving me the impression that she could not wait to leave. Overall, it was an okay experience. In the months before my wedding, I was wracked with nerves about finding a bridal mehndi artist. Having never gotten mehndi in the US, I was concerned about the quality of the henna and skill of the artist. However, Sanjana alleviated all of my fears. She was communicative and knowledgeable, assuaging all my fears. She came to my home and it quickly became a laid back gab session between two ladies.
