This review is long overdue but I hired Rosemary for my son's first birthday last month in February. She was great and the kids absolutely loved the face painting and balloons.​ Unfortunately, being so busy hosting I forgot to get a balloon for my son and he did not want to have his face painted. On the other hand, my little nieces loved their unicorn face painting and the flower balloons. Since we didn't have any young guests by the time she showed up she even told us to have the adults get their face painted, which some did. Rosemary came to my rescue at the last minute: another yelp Henna artist I had made arrangements with for me and my sister ghosted at the very last minute- thank goodness Rosemary was quick to answer her texts despite having a doctors appt that morning! Omg not enough good things to say. I originally went with the artist who charged $10 less than Rosemary, but Rosemary took her time bandaging me and my sister, providing us with these balms that bring me so much joy (I need more of this lemongrass balm- I'm not exaggerating it is EVERYTHING). She taught us how to maintain our Hennas longer, gave us a thorough history lesson in the art of Henna, and even gave us a patch test for Jagua in case we ever wanted to get one from anywhere in the future- so we know we arent allergic! I had an Indian wedding to attend and didn't realize how I needed to make an appointment in advance. I was scouring the internet and found her on Instagram. I was impressed by her portfolio and her celeb clients. I reached out to here on Instagram but reached her through her phone. She was able to squeeze me in on short notice. I chose a design from her book. I was worried that the henna wouldn't show on my darker skin but it came through nicely. She did beautiful work. I've gotten many compliments on my henna. Even the bride with henna on both her hands and feet was impressed with my design. She has a darker henna but because it causes allergic reactions she won't apply a design without testing your skin first. Don't wait last minute like me. I called every number around me and most people weren't able to fit me in. However I explain the situation to Lady Glitter and she was able to accommodate me. Although the place of location wasn't very professional (taken at her home and she was cooking while performing services) her work was great. She is very confident in the work that she does and appears to have a great experience and knowledge of the Henna artwork. It was also kind of nice having it be so informal as it made me very comfortable to speak to her as if she was a friend. My henna only lasted about a week and a half but I think that was partially due to the fact that my husband and I were swimming a lot on our honeymoon in Greece. Found Rosemary through instagram by a referral from a friend. I have never had henna before because I have a lot of skin allergies so I never did it.
