I haven't been to Superstition Springs Mall in quite awhile so I'm not sure when this beautiful shop opened originally. As soon as my fiancé and I walked into the store we were greeted with warmth from two different associates. The store was laid out beautifully and there is a vast assortment of sage. Normally I do not like the smell of sage, but the different bundles they offered that were wrapped with other herbs was quite pleasant to the nose. There was also a description near the bundles on what you could attain while burning. Very useful information. There are an assortment of candles, jewelry, mugs, and many other interesting items available. I was not looking for anything in particular, so I did not make a purchase. However, if I decide to purchase candles or sage bundles I will definitely return to the store. I truly appreciated their employees that made us feel welcomed. read more

Hands-down amazing!! Ariana is a gem, she did the most amazing henna tattoo on my moms head, you see she has lost her hair due to chemotherapy and it is way too hot here in Arizona to wear a hat or wig and it's plain old uncomfortable and itchy to ware, now she gets to where Ariana's beautiful artwork besides doing an amazing job she was very personable, sweet and professional, absolutely lovely, Not to mention it's a really cute store with so much fun merchandise to browse and purchase.... Not particularly a bad review but the shop, company and customer need to be made aware. I went to henna shoppe on the 25th of January and got "black" henna on my left forearm. The process was simple and little discomfort. The stain was fine and lasted about two weeks. The problem now is that black henna is not a natural henna. If you look online it is known to cause chemical burns. Which happen to me. The company advertised they only use natural products and I was not advised of the danger and was not made to sign anything acknowledging the possible risk. The product needs to be taken out of the store and not used on customers. It causes serious burns and could lead to civil action if not addressed. Only use the natural brown henna as it is made from clay not man made chemicals. Response to Neelam S.- Sorry for my negligence I'm not an expert on henna and assumed it was a type of clay. But if this is the henna shop in the superstition mall in Mesa Arizona which by this address shows in the super mall. Then it was the shop I received my henna and I'm not confused or misunderstanding. Second it was the employee at the shop that called it black henna, it was not a blue tone at all. I have all ready had it looked at by a doctor. So before you try and attempt to say it is an allergic reaction it is not. I have had henna in the past and never had a reaction. Every henna I have had in the past flakes off in small chunks. What I got came off in large connected chunks and looked more like plastic. I even got henna on the other arm a week later and it has faded like normal with no side effects. It was diagnosed by a doctor as a chemical burn (in the exact design of the henna I received) and now I have to use a burn cream to hopefully not end up with scaring on my arm. Take responsibility for the negligence of your business and remove the product. Pictures say a thousand words and I added two. read more

It was my first time going to that shop and first time getting a Henna Tattoo. My experience was great!! The girls there were very friendly, and helpful. The place is adorable! I had Katie do mine on my arm. She did an AH-Mazing job on it. It came out beautifully. I received many compliments on it. We even added glitter !!! She is talented for sure and will definitely go back again for another. Quick update .. just went back a second time to redo my first one ... Katie was again .. AH-Mazing!!! Love her personality!! It is incredibly insane that your henna shoppe workers gave me incorrect information about henna and are all ruined in less than 12 hours. $100 worth of henna and I'm refused a refund ? Inexcusable. I frequent this henna shop a lot and this is what I get ? The audacity ! The manager told the worker not to refund it and fix it. She saw the photos the worker took. So it's my fault you employed people who are not Knowledgeable about a particular fruit henna yet they apply it , charge extra for it and don't want to stand behind their mistake? These hennas were applied at 3 pm on Sat and dried until 12 am Sunday . This is what they looked like after. The drying instructions way an hour ... this is what we got . it's a cool looking store with pretty products but they make it really uncomfortable to shop when the staff is walking past you while looking you up and down. i understand as a company you'd want to make sure no one is stealing, but the lengths they go to is excessive and obvious. there's other places with similar products with a more comfortable environment. read more

She took the time to welcome other people in the store but it didn't feel like she was interrupting our service in the process. 4 months ago when henna shop was just a kiosk in the mall I stopped for some henna and I was dismissed by the hangry teenager and told to come back after she ate her meal. Marley was the employee I later learned when I contacted the management of the company. She was very nice and offered to do henna for me. Due to time and schedule that never happened. Today I stopped in and saw that luckily Hangry Marley was off today and had a very nice polite and professional artist do a very nice freehand design. Her name was Melanie and recommend her. I used to like coming to this location until the last couple visits. Beware. The employees will following you around the store like Ninjas making sure you don't shop lift. Hiding behind racks and staring at your every move. As they are staring at your every move they also say "Can I help you find anything?".....10 times. No joke. I told her I am there to buy a gift and I'm not sure What I'm going to get so I'm just looking. I may as well gave her a piggy back ride. CALM DOWN. Not everyone is a shop lifter. You might as well just follow us all around with little drones recording our every move. The store is full of little trinkets not found in other stores and OF COURSE we are going to look and touch and try on everything. I took my daughter into the store for her first henna. Savanna was the artist who applied it and she was so pleasant to talk to. My daughter is 11 and said how she was jealous of other girls who have had the henna and she had always wanted one. Savanna was so amazing how she explained to my daughter to never be jealous of anyone over over any circumstances. Savanna was very comfortable talking to my daughter like they were family. I am not one to write negative reviews, however, I feel this needs to be said. I have been a customer for a long time and it was a great place to go until the past few weeks. I have noticed how terrible the management is. Beth was the manager before and this place really lost its shine when she left. I was frequently receiving Hennas from several of the girls and all of them are great besides the new manager. I have watched her talk down to her employees on several occasions, its amazing what happens when a shop hires a teenager for their management! One of the girls that I used to see frequently when I visited the shop, Kaitlin, was amazing. She did beautiful work, always very helpful while I was shopped and always greeted me with a warm and friendly smile. I was informed she is no longer there. I have watched this place decline over the past few weeks. I did recently visit the Henna Shoppe again last week and Delaney assisted me. She is very talented as well, very pleasant and always greets everyone with a smile. During my visit I did notice the manager treating some of the staff rudely again. This is such a shame and I do not plan to return to the store due to what I have witnessed. This place has lost quite a bit of talent over the past several months and possibly more if this behavior continues. I am not sure if the owner reads these reviews but someone needs to and step in. These girls are amazing and talented artists and it's truly a shame at what it has turned in to. I have mentioned this to several of my friends and family as well. I wish all the current artists the best of luck. read more
