I came across Lizard Thicket while visiting Dana Park Plaza. It had an adorable boutique vibe from the outside and thought I wasn't sure what to expect. Upon arrival, I was immediately welcomed and asked if I had any questions or been in before. They let me know each piece is very unique and they only get in 6 of each item, they're the only one in the valley. They had such cute and great quality items through out the store, which everything was extremely fairly priced, especially for such a curated and unique boutique. I tried on quite a few things and ended up getting a beautiful linen like dress. It was so soft. They also have a generous clearance and sale section. They offer a reasonable return period of 14 days. I honestly saw so many prices and I would definitely consider frequenting them to add some lovely pieces to my wardrobe, when the occasion arrives! read more

Do not order from them. I ordered a dress from this company last week in the afternoon on Saturday. I needed this dress for my grandmother's funeral the following week. I paid for standard shipping, which is 2-3 days. So, I assumed "2-3 days should be there in time, and I can wear it." Cut to today: tomorrow is my grandmother's viewing, and I still don't have this dress. At the beginning of the week, it said it was in Charlotte, NC, and It is still there! It hasn't even been shipped. It is ridiculous that I placed this order for an event with enough time, and it's still not here. If you need an outfit for an event, consider a different store because this is ridiculous. read more

Especially at the register, if you ask a question on a coupon, prepare to get a dirty look or a negative response. I think it was from the manager Ashley too. Shameful customer service and they lie about their return policy. Do not shop here. Shop anywhere else but not here. The fake, phony girls that work here refused to allow my daughter to make a return today. She made the purchase two days ago!!!! The outfit sat on top of her kitchen counter in the bag it came in, untouched. She simply changed her mind. Despite the 15 day return policy she was informed she had "re-tagged"the blouse. So they are clearly comfortable falsely accusing their customers and talking to them like garbage after the sale. The sales girl even circled the return policy on the receipt at the time of purchase knowing my daughter was hesitant in the choice but shoving the blouse down her face with high pressure sales tactics anyway. Feel free to return it if you change your mind blah blah, lies, blah. Disgusting way to run a business and how dare you accuse my daughter of such a thing? You should be ashamed of yourselves. I have known about Lizard Thicket for about 4 years now, but it has been about 3 years since I've purchased anything from there. I was in search of a specific dress for a photoshoot with my kids that was only 12 hours away. I came across one that I liked on their website, so I called the store to ask if they happened to have it. Taylor is the name of the young lady who answered my call. She took the time out of her shift to search their inventory and came across one of each size in their store. She asked me if I wanted her to place it on hold for me until I could come in try to it on. I was there within an hour, but was extremely disappointed when I showed up to find the only dress that fit me (in that style) had a huge hole in the back. Beyond repair! Taylor and the other young lady that were working asked me if the dress worked out and I showed them the hole. They could tell I was upset. Instead of just saying "oh I'm sorry!", those two girls worked together to dig through every rack in the store in hopes to find something that would be similar, as well as to my liking. I must have tried on 15 dresses, and I just didn't love any of them. Then I finally came across this blue dress you see in the photo. Not only were those wonderful young ladies helping me look for different dresses, but they were also there helping me zip up the dresses that I couldn't reach. Constantly checking up on me in the fitting rooms. I just can't believe the level of customer service that they provided me with on Friday night. I struggle with clothes shopping in general, but it's especially stressful when you're limited on time! I hope that the manger of this establishment sees this review and recognizes the two young ladies that were working that evening. I can't say enough for the friendly gals at Lizard Thicket, who not only help you set up a room from the beginning so you don't have to lug around a pile of clothes, but they offer style tips and can help you pair your picks with other great things in the store for a full outfit. They also remember your name and give 10% of all sales on one Wednesday per month to a charity of the month. The clothing is adorable, absolutely my style and totally affordable. The candle scents are dreamy, so make sure you give those a sniff as you come in. It's easy to get distracted and miss something wonderful as you head towards the first fluffy hoodie/sweater you see. I ended up with a pair of super soft, comfy jeans that fit like a glove and some turquoise earrings. I can also rest assured that only five other women in Phoenix could possibly be wearing the same pair of pants as me, because they only receive 6 of each item! Seriously, the boho look is strong here, from turquoise earrings and necklaces to long, flowy sweaters, and jeans you kind of want to live in. Everything is super soft, and you're bound to find your next dream wrap dress here, nestled between racks of other gorgeous dresses. There is the perfect piece for everyone in this store, seriously. I found my happy placed tucked into one of the long sweaters and paired with some great earrings. The customer service is first class. I am always greeted by an associate. I'm asked if I need a dressing room as soon as I walk away from a rack with clothing in hand. The associates are also very helpful. Many times I have asked for recommendations to complete an outfit. Every time I have received many options. I recommend signing up for their rewards program. The clothes are cute, however i'm not sure if it's the manager or the owner, she is extremely tall and super sweet when you walk in and she wants you to buy something, but when you find out that they only carry two xs's in the store and you are a size zero and none of them fit when you try them on, then she gets really rude because you don't want to spend $60 on something that doesn't fit you. the girls that help with the dressing rooms are so sweet. i have purchased a ton of clothes here in the past and have sent a lot of my friends to them, it is not my fault that they stopped purchasing extra smalls to carry in their store. she needs to do way better. read more

I love the clothes here and have shopped here many times. I'm not too sure what has changed but the newer girls are very rude. I feel like every time I have gone, their girls have been very catty and gossipy. I told the tall blonde my name and she repeated it clearly back. I also asked if I could go across from my mom who is shopping with me and she proceeds to tell me if there is any fitting rooms available, there were clearly every room available except one. When I go into the fitting room my mom goes into her room and they say the next one is mine which is not my name so I asked if that was my fitting room and the girl gave me a ton of attitude and said it was and I said well that's not my name so I was just verifying. Instead of just apologizing she's just very rude. When she was putting me into the fitting room I saw her talking to the fitting room girl as if she was talking about me because the girl kept eyeing me down. The previous time I tried something on and put it back because I decided against it and another girl asked me if I was purchasing it which I said no so she took it back to the fitting room to have them put it back? There was nothing wrong with it and it was back in its correct spot. The girl in the fitting room then put it back on the floor a minute later? Every time I've been in there I've been so uncomfortable, to the point that I like to go and try on the clothes there and then purchase them online. I love to support a small business but not when someone is acting extremely rude while you were in there. I feel like a lot has changed and I believe they switched owners and maybe that's what changed but that is not how you treat your clientele. read more

This is a potentially great store! I first went over a year ago. Walked in and was welcomed enthusiastically, employees smiling and offering help at every turn. Not obnoxiously but genuinely. I loved it. They had a variety of sizes, very inclusive to smaller and larger sizes which was another huge plus! Not a huge range but enough. It was quickly becoming a favorite for me. Until recently, I hadn't been in a while but decided to stop in to look around. In my short time there, I felt very unwanted as an employee leaned against the wall, arms crossed staring at me. And not a nice stare. Super awkward so I moved to a different area of the shop where another employee asked me a question that I didn't hear the first time. So when she repeated herself she was very clearly annoyed with me, tone, facial expressions, body language, everything showed she did NOT want to deal with me. At this point I just wanted to leave so when I checked out it was the same attitude I had been receiving since walking in the door. Picked up a few gifts but did notice the sizing wasn't quite the range it was before either unfortunately. I will not likely be back. :( read more

I really love the selection of clothing at this store!! But, the service is not the best. I've been in a few times over the past month and had one good experience. The staff is fairly pushy. I appreciate that they try to help out while you're in the fitting room, but, they engage themselves in everything. I was chatting with my friend about something and the fitting room attendant inserted herself in the conversation. I understand why, but then she became upset that I did not purchase said item I was showing my friend. I went to do an exchange for a different color in an item and the girl became upset when I asked if I could use a coupon they had sent me on the new item I was purchasing. She told me "it's an even return so you can't use a coupon". I questioned if I could return the item then make a new purchase using the coupon. She said nothing back to me and did the return. my middie sleeveless wrap dress. Super cute to wear with a fancy heel and cardigan or casual with chucks and a hat. All the pieces I saw were unique and versatile. Adaptable for different styles and great to use as a capsule wardrobe piece because you can create a ton of outfits with them. The service is amazing, I had extra material in the back when I tried on the dress and when I asked if I could adjust the way I was tying the dress they said they would pin the dress and send it to their seamstress so I would have a perfect fit. BEWARE TWO WEEKS RETURNS POLICY!!!! This boutique is so frustrating! I enjoy their styles and have shopped here off and on since they've been open but every time I shop here I'm reminded of why I am delayed in returning. They have a very strict two week return policy. If you don't return it completely fresh looking with tags on within two weeks they won't even let you exchange it. I'm a single working mother and I have a lot on my plate. two weeks in my world goes by very fast. It's unfortunate that they are so strict about this because if they weren't I'm sure I would be shopping there more often. If you are into that boho look (think beaded bracelets and kimonos) you will love this store. The prices are reasonable and staff is very friendly and helpful. I found some of the styles similar to what you would find in a Francesca's. Besides clothing and jewelry, they also sell some nicely scented candles. When I was in shopping, I purchased a sweater and a candle. The candle smells like delicious lemonade. My personal style is more on the edgy side (studs, skulls, spikes), so there was not a ton of merchandise here that appealed to my personal tastes, but I do think the styles are great for women who prefer the boho look.
