I had a little trouble finding the location with Google maps but I called and she directed me to her. I ran a few minutes late due to me being lost in the complex but she was very understanding and didn't seem upset. She started my henna appointment right away and was very gentle and friendly. We talked the entire time and found some things we had in common. Lots of laughter. We even found that I worked at a school in Morocco that her friend's kids currently attend. Rihanna was playing in the background throughout my appointment and set a whole vibe. The shop is beautifully set up and everything was clean. My maternity pictures came out beautifully. I LOVE them. I asked a friend to recommend a place that had natural henna without any chemicals or anything. Everything in the shop is made with natural ingredients, including the henna. Emailing with questions repeatedly, with no response, I finally called to inquire further about growing thicker hair after a friend (having TOtally different hair than mine) mentioned it. Of course she colors her hair, and I do not. Lisa (?) and I spoke at length about a few products, how long to see results, and selected a few. She was incredibly condescending throughout the conversation, leaving me wondering what-in-the-world. Okay - maybe a bad day? Sure, I can overlook that kind of disrespectful attitude if the product is great. I waited and waited for the package. I called asking about the status of my order. Oh, it shipped already, they said. Hmmmm....... Got the bottle finally - and couldn't get any of the product out! I called to mention the faulty bottle top hoping to exchange it for another. Open the top? No, I prefer the dispenser. Not to mention it smelled really *awful. The person there was so snotty, like it's my fault they use less-than-quality packaging. I gave up dealing with those kinds of individuals. They even charged me for restocking. They had the nerve to email me about writing a review - I never got to try it! Seriously - what a bunch of scam artists not standing behind their product. *Update - my review has nothing to do with whether I 'like someone or not'. I'm sharing my one and only experience. I kindly gave them the benefit of the doubt, and that's on me. Maybe the packaging should be revisited. Maybe sales techniques should also be revisited. I met with Khadija on March 10 at 6:11 PM. I spent $85.71 to purchase a consultation plus the products that she recommended. I followed her instructions using the Rajasthani henna and the indigo to color my gray roots and all of my hair the same brown. It worked on my long hair near the ends then stopped working an inch and a half from my scalp. The inch and a half next to my head has not changed after two applications about 2 weeks apart. The first try was about 2.5 hours of mixing and waiting, then 5 hours of wearing the paste. The second try was sleeping with the paste on my roots and scalp overnight. The grays have not changed. I am not happy with this product after two tries. Further, the entire process was messy and time-consuming. When I complained, I did not get any response from customer service until the third try, when I was clearly irate. They wouldn't call, only text. They had nothing useful to say after verifying that I followed their instructions. Fortunately I documented both hair coloring occasions with photos. Initially, I met with the owner who examined my hair, then she helped me to select the products for this switch to henna and indigo hair color. She was very personable, and my intention for the photos was to do a five star post to help her business. Sadly, I must give a ZERO STAR review because the PRODUCTS DID NOT WORK. I do not recommend! I am very unhappy, because after lengthy discussion with their customer service, they said, "HENNA DOES NOT WORK FOR EVERYONE. NO REFUNDS!" They referred me to a video saying this as well. Clearly the products fail often enough for Henna Sooq to have protected themselves from unhappy customers. It would have been better if they'd created policies to make the unhappy customers whole. read more

Okay, where do begin. Im so disappointed with my experience with Henna Sooq. For years this was my go to for henna products. In the past, I've called them and they were very attentive, but I guess great customer service is a thing of the past. I order henna for a client. The day of placing the order, I received a message from Henna Sooq saying that they didn't have my address. Later that same week, I received another message saying someone within their staff had a death in the family. Listen, I get it. So when I called and emailed my sincerest condolences, I responded, what does this mean about the order. Let me put this in perspective for you...I just needed to know if the product was going to be shipped or not so that I could reschedule my clients appointment. I just think that its ironic that Henna Sooq understably wants me to understand their situation, but they can't see my side of things. I am a henna Ayurvedic newbie. I hennad may hair for the first time 6 weeks ago, too orange, too warm then too dark so I removed some of the darkness through oiling and vitamin c. I scheduled what I thought was a virtual consultation so that I could ask questions about some of the products that I purchased from their website. When I opened the email and saw that the consultation was supposed to be in person at their salon, I called and asked to speak to the stylist that I was supposed to be having my consultation with (which I was charged $45 dollars for) and the very rude receptionist told me that she could not tie up their phone line for me to speak to the stylist. I then asked her, how in the year 2025 that the stylist did not have access to a cell phone she told me that it was not possible to speak to the stylist on the phone. If Khadja is going to have numerous tutorials on you-tube about Henna and other products that you sell, then they should assume that many people that are coming to your website are not local to their area. In the main bar under SERVICES they offer HAIR SALON COLOR CONSULTATION/ NEW SALON CLIENT CONSULTATION (which I assumed was in person)/AYURVEDIC HAIR TREATMENTS (which I also assumed would be in your salon.) I signed up for HAIR SALON COLOR CONSULTATION because I assumed that it was virtual. The option for scheduling a virtual consultation is buried at the bottom of their website where no one would think to look for it. I received an email later today saying that they would not refund me for the consultation or give me credit for a virtual consultation. I will definitely be reaching out to the Better Business Bureau to see if they can help me resolve this issue. I must say this the very best quality of henna I have ever used on my 2C 3 wavy fine curl tresses! I have used other hennas and left me like an orange carrot top! I gave up and been using ion ash tone chemicals w low ammonia to get Golden reddish brown like a Golden Eagle look. I wanted to stop using chemicals bc I was losing hairs especially thru stressful times. I used the Rich red henna mix it with hibiscus petals henna , added aloe Vera juice and coconut milk w coconut oil and let it rest for 1 hr and applied it to my long thick course fine wavy curly hairs and let henna absorb for 2 hours, rinsed w coconut cowash. I did a bit a research on henna and finally found this place. What I love is that the owner was able to answer all of my questions and directed me the the Red Raj henna. She told me the best way to mix it ( or my cosmetologist) to get the best result since my cosmetologist had never used henna before. Although my brown hair didn't come out red, it did highlight the color I already had in my hair and cover my gray edges. I also understood that different hair colors will yield different results. It is such a relief to have found a salon (henna sooq) and a technician (Khadijah) to take the stress off of me coloring my locked hair at home. For me Henna is notoriously messy and complicated..especially with dreads. I managed to do it at home for the last year with mediocre to fair results. I was a loyal customer of Henna Sooque for many years, in spite of the occasional customer back pedal. However, after my last purchase I will not be returning, nor will I recommend them to anyone. They are not honest or transparent. They will sell you organic indigo for hair, for example, then when it doesn't work will back pedal and tell you the organic version doesn't work as well. Okay, then why don't you say so up front? My most recent experience was a pre-purchase of Red Raj henna. It did not work, and I have decades of experience, so I knew it wasn't on my end. Based on finally checking out other customer reviews, they knowingly sold me a defective batch of Red Raj henna. I basically wasted my time and money using it. I made several attempts to try and resolve with them. They were not helpful. Finally they offered to send me a replacement batch which, surprise, surprise, they never did. They probably had no intention of sending it from the get go. There are many other wonderful and more affordable henna suppliers. I suggest you take your business elsewhere. read more

I Gad this place bookmarked as there are two locations that do henna in my area. I tried the other place for a trip earlier in the summer and wanted to try this one as well. It's located in the back of the strip mall towards the end. Khadijah was really sweet and was on time. I came here for a sleeve lengthened henna design for my birthday. I called same week and only a late evening appointment was available. For henna, it's better for an appt earlier in the day do it can sit undisturbed. I had a pic from online and a request, from there I was given a quote. The design took about an hour and I let it sit for 4+ hrs. I was a bit upset that the stain was much lighter than I anticipated. It was so light that it could only be seen if you were up close. I was going away and having a photo shoot done and sadly, the stain wasn't as dark as I had hoped for the shoot. I previously had henna done a few times and staining was never an issue. Not sure what happened. As far as how much I paid for the design from my shoulder to my wrist $130. Very costly in my opinion but I was willing to pay for the design & the result. I just didn't plan on the faint result. **sad face** read more
