He did such a good job that I called him when we ran into some repairs above our skill level at our residence. He arrived on time, diagnosed the issues, gave me several quote options for additional items and had the jobs finished within a few hours. I have been very pleased with my interactions with all aboard. He explained to me how to relieve the water heater bladder pressure once or twice a year and what to do if I had any issues with the pressure regulator. He is TOP NOTCH ethical, kind, professional and affordable. One of a kind. He was over $1,000 less (and in some cases over $2,000 less) than his competitors. At my first house I had them assess, putting in a new toilet in my basement, which required the foundation to be opened up, but instead of charging me for the labor, he let me borrow the tools to do the job and not charge me a thing. Then just this week I had a natural gas line corroded and I had received multiple quotes from companies that were charging extravagant costs and Mark was able to coordinate someone to come to my house and get it done in less than two hours at less than half the cost what I had been quoted earlier. I had asked Rare Breed to come out and assess my natural gas line this week, unfortunately, the…read moretechnician showed up two hours past the time stated. They had done an assessment accounting 2 possible options: replace the 2 pipes and elbow over 4 hrs or replace the entire pipe network. the technician was very nice and was willing to talk through everything. Ultimately, after getting the quotes, I could not go with them. I was well aware of the parts needed, and material costs however, when they showed me the quotes, there was a large disparity between what was shown on the screen initially for the 2 pipe fix and then five minutes later it was showing an additional zero on the end. I don't know if that was on purpose or not, but it threw up the red flag for me. In order to better assess, I had asked them to break out the material costs from the labor rates and overhead so that I could see an honest quote. The technician called the owner who immediately had dropped the price down which while that would seem reasonable automatically through another red flag due to having that much overhead built in. The owner, of course, pushed back, saying, nobody would ever provide an overhead rate, but I know better. They had discussed over the phone attempting to break out the material costs which he then gave me the total, but did not show it on the screen, however, I do take this as more honest than most companies would be. Ultimately there were enough red flags for me to wait and I'm glad I did because I was able to get Pitcher, plumbing out to do the work the next day and the entire job cost the exact same as the material cost quoted by rare breed. I will say I did receive another quote that was far more outrageous than what I received from rare breed, but it's still not acceptable. All this tells me in the end is that there is a large disparity between these plumbing companies, providing reasonable costs and honest rates is rare. But there are companies like pitcher plumbing that have been around for 40+ years and still provide reasonable costs and do a fantastic job. I feel bad for people that continue to be taken advantage of.

The tech called and said it would be $850 plus $95 service fee so I called a friend who owns a company 150 miles away and said what should this cost to have my unit cleaned . He said $99-$175! ‍ So I put on Facebook any recommendations and got a one man show company that came and cleaned for $99 and no service charge fee. ‍‍‍ I do have to say when I called SOS to cancel my appointment to repair they waived the service charge fee after looking at my scenario so the company does have some good employees.
