Not only was he reasonably priced, but he added components (water pressure regulator and a pressure bladder on the water heater) to ensure that the replacement would last a long time. He explained to me how to relieve the water heater bladder pressure once or twice a year and what to do if I had any issues with the pressure regulator. He is TOP NOTCH ethical, kind, professional and affordable. One of a kind. He was over $1,000 less (and in some cases over $2,000 less) than his competitors. Larry installed a new water heater as my old one had begun leaking. He did a great job, was very polite, and took time to explain the warrantee ratings on heaters. To my surprise, weeks after the service was done, we found a homemade pie on our doorstep with his card attached. I was happy with the service before the pie but I couldn't possibly not post a review after something like that. I have never had anyone that provided a service do something like that. Totally impressed! Called home depot for a quote on installing a water heater. Their contractor quoted $1500 with the water heater. I called around and Rentmeister was the cheapest. When I told them that I was going to buy a water heater from the big box store, they suggested that I check out the local plumbing supply store. I did, and found that I could get a better water heater by a better company for cheaper than HD! Install went well, although I had to help the plumber move the water heater behind some pipes - no big deal. Out the door, cost was less than HALF of what the big box store quoted. What made it 5 stars was about after a month, the owner actually came by my house to see if all was well with the water heater and the install! I would definitely recommend this company/service to anyone in the Ogden/Eden/Huntsville area!! My family and I are from Hawaii and our vacation home had a pipe burst in one the rooms (yes, it's a late saturday afternoon). We tried calling multiple of plumbers all of which told us "we need to contact our on-call guy" no one bothered to call us back! Finally, we decided last resort we'll just have to call Rentmeister Plumber! Someone answered the phone listened to our concerns and told us he would relate the situation to his on-call plumber who call us back with in 10 mins...and YES HE DID! Jesse was our plumber who came to our home with all the right tools and equipment and found the leak spot on! Unfortunately we had to cut and make two holes in our newly remodeled basement (this was a bummer) luckily, all it took was two cuts in our wall and boom the problem was resolved. I give Jesse much credit and appreciation because he knew our concern for cutting holes in our newly remodeled basement he tried to work with the smallest cut's possible he made in our ceiling. We had two leaks and the second leak was the worst, being in the smallest difficult spot to fix this pipe and Jesse, managed to make it work; fixed both leaks within 4 hours without taking a break (he was a trooper all the way)!!! The total was $440 in the end, which we loved because here in the Hawaii, you expect to pay at least $800+ for the amt of work he did and hours spent! I had some major work done by Larry 2 years ago. He had have the sewer dug up on the side of my house. He replaced some pipe and cleaned it out. It was over $2000. 2 years later I called him back for a sewer back up again. (Similar symptoms to what happened before.) He was unable to come due to medical reason, and recommended another plumber). I had the other plumber clean out my pipes and run a camera through my pipes to see what was causing the issue. The connections that Larry had made 2 years previously on my pipes had come undone, and dirt, etc., were getting in again. When I called him back and asked him to come and fix it under warranty, he hung up on me. I did research and many places guarantee their work on jobs over $750 for 6 years. Finally, I have found a great plumber. I recommend them highly. I had a pipe freeze and split in the winter, but until I turned on the faucet on my back porch, we didn't know it. As soon as water started flowing, it all spewed all over the basement through the split. I called a plumber (not Rentmeister) on Thursday afternoon before they closed. The message said they don't work Friday. I left a message. Nothing happened--even yet, 24 hours later. So I came to Yelp for a recommendation. Rentmeister, as you can see, has great reviews. I called. They said they'd check and see how quickly they could get out. An hour later, Larry called and asked how soon I could make it home. I met him 20 minutes later, and he set right to work. The job was done correctly, quickly, and without fuss. And the bill? Way, way lower than I expected. The last time this happened ten years ago, I called that big outfit in SLC that advertises so heavily. Their guy told me it would cost $900. I sent them packing. Well I can't say I'm disatisfied as what I needed them to do, they did. My kitchen sink is unclogged and it didn't take to long. But as far as all around experience, not that impressed. The plumber that came over had to take a cap off a main pipe and it exploded a black mucky mess into his bucket and sprayed all over the carpet and a door. He apologized and all which I was totally fine with, things happen. But there was zero effort into trying to clean it up. I figured he'd at least wipe off the door and wall but he just handed me the bill and took off. Now I have to figure out how to clean my carpet that I literally just had cleaned 1 week ago. Talked to Larry about a stop and waste valve(main sprinkler shut off) And told me what to expect as far as cost and if I dug the hole myself would save $$$. So I did and made an appointment and Steve came out . Took a look at what was needed and got the parts. Put the valve in during a rain storm and had it done in no time. A neighbor saw the truck and came over to ask about a plumbing problem they were having. Steve helped them as well. The plumber was not helpful at all, he did the bare minimum amount of work and left as quickly as he could. I called and complained to the owner, but he still charged me for the horrible experience. Highly recommend Rentmeister. The bid to replace main water line was lower than any other company. All work to be done was explained in detail, and suggestions were made not only to keep the cost low, but also to reconfigure shut off valve that we hadn't even thought about.
