The office is unclean and reeks of urine. The front office staff is rude and unhelpful. When we returned with our dog to get sutures taken out they were taken out prematurely; the vet never looked at our pet. I'm away home his wound reopened exposed to the bone! Highly recommend Dr. Henry at Broad Marsh Animal Clinic. Dr. Henry is compassionate, caring and excellent vet. I trust Dr. Henry with all 5 of my dogs. At Broad Marsh Animal Clinic, the animals receive round the clock care if they need to stay over. There is always a tech on staff 24/7. When my pet's have had to stay the night for surgical needs, the staff knew that I would worry all night, so they told me that if I wanted to I could call ANYTIME, even 3am to check on my pet. It is a great comfort knowing that if something goes bad (vomiting, IV pulled out, etc.) in the evening they are there to monitor and take care of the situation. Dr. Henry has been helping out the community for years without asking for donations. He participates in the annual rabies clinics. He has a community outreach program for vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuters. He has always helped many area non-profits by offering discounted medical care and boarding. Not to mention if he has room, he himself will take in and care for homeless pets. He will medically treat them out of pocket and find new homes for them. If I could give this ZERO stars I would. This office is garbage. When I first purchased my puppy they were wonderful, but after I finished the "Puppy Plan" they were done with me. I got on their "Silver Plan" which costs you $46 a month but provides their check ups, flea baths and medicine. I had to drop my dog off at 7:30 AM for a bath where I was greeted bright and early with an unwelcoming staff full of rude women who did not care about anyone but themselves. After this happening frequently I chalked it up to a couple of bad apples but boy was I wrong! I called and asked for information about getting my puppy spayed where I was given all sorts of false information and ended up in a fight with the accountant! Still, I gave them another shot. Even when I found out they did not take my dog out after her being there for over 7 hours (multiple visits), I still gave them a shot. Taking my dog in for her monthly flea bath I asked if they could possibly trim her around her crotch area as well, they responded yes and I dropped my dog off for the day. I received a call three hours later saying the groomer did not receive my instructions and they were waiting to confirm what I wanted. They asked if I wanted the sanitation trim and an ear trim, to which I responded just the sanitation trim. Three hours after that I call to pick her up where they tell me she's ready. I arrive and they go to get her, only to come out and tell me that "someone" took her dryer and it's going to be another two and a half hours. Finally, after coming back they bring her out and she's clearly been given some sort of medicine WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, she refuses to walk/open her eyes, her ears are CLEARLY clipped, and they have done way more than a sanitation grooming. Oh and the icing on the cake, they charged me an extra $43 when this was supposedly "in the plan". I would NEVER EVER recommend this practice to anyone. read more

This office does not have any knowledge regarding vet medicine, they overcharge, their building is not clean and they are not professional. 10:30pm on a Saturday night, our little dog Romeo broke his leg. His screams were so devastating... We instantly called our vet, only to hear a voicemail telling us to drive all the way to Savannah for emergencies!! We called 2 other vets, but they never answered the phone. We stumbled across Broad Marsh Animal Hospital in the phone book and gave them a call. WOW... without hesitation they told us exactly what to do, gave us directions, and told us that they would get ahold of Dr. Henry asap. Thank God they were so close to us in Beaufort, because I don't think Romeo would have lasted any longer in the car. We arrived and the emergency tech very gently handled and sedated Romeo. About 5 minutes after we arrived, Dr. Henry arrived. Dr. Henry made us feel 100% better. He assured us that Romeo was in good hands and that he would keep us updated every step of the way. We left Romeo with him. We got home and immediately looked online at reviews for Broad Marsh. The reviews were mixed, some really good and some realllllly bad... this worried us a lot! We were used to taking Romeo to a Corporate looking Vet Clinic, and Broad Marsh was the complete opposite. The place was clean, but didn't look so "stainless steel sterile hospital" like. We called them before we went to bed and they gave us a full update and told us to call ANYTIME we wanted and they would do whatever we needed. Dr. Henry ended up doing the Surgery the next morning (Sunday... and also happened to be Dr. Henry's birthday). He fixed Romeo right up with 2 small pins and a cast. We picked Romeo up on Monday and he was actually happy and appeared to like the vet tech girls. Romeo has always left our old vet's place (Lady's Island) with his tail between his legs! He actually liked Dr. Henry and his staff! The bill was half of what we thought it would be, considering the boarding, medication, and Surgery on the doc's birthday/Sunday. We decided to switch our vet to Dr. Henry at Broad Marsh Animal Hospital. Romeo's leg healed well, and we were at ease through the whole process because we had Broad Marsh available 24/7 to answer our calls. This November will be 1 year since the broken leg. You cannot even tell that his leg was ever broken. He is a mini Italian Greyhound, and from what I understand its not the easiest dog to do the procedure on. This 1 year reminded me to write a review of Broad Marsh. Seeing all of these ridiculous negative reviews for Broad Marsh makes me sick. It is obvious that they are fake reviews probably written by Dr. Henry's competitors. All I can tell you is that we made the right choice by taking Romeo to Broad Marsh. They will treat your pets like children and set your mind at ease. They've proven to always be there when you need them most. -Andrew read more
