At Broad Marsh Animal Clinic, the animals receive round the clock care if they need to stay over. There is always a tech on staff 24/7. When my pet's have had to stay the night for surgical needs, the staff knew that I would worry all night, so they told me that if I wanted to I could call ANYTIME, even 3am to check on my pet. It is a great comfort knowing that if something goes bad (vomiting, IV pulled out, etc.) in the evening they are there to monitor and take care of the situation. Dr. Henry has been helping out the community for years without asking for donations. He participates in the annual rabies clinics. He has a community outreach program for vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuters. He has always helped many area non-profits by offering discounted medical care and boarding. Not to mention if he has room, he himself will take in and care for homeless pets. He will medically treat them out of pocket and find new homes for them. He is and always has been a part of the solution. Bottom line he cares about your pet and you!

A seven-year-old Australian Shepherd was running across multiple properties, so the Dr. and his assistant came out with treats and a slip lead. A man waved and the Dr. confirmed that he was the owner. However, the owner requested assistance. For 5 minutes, in between regular appointments, Dr. Cifranick and his assistant assessed and helped corral the uncollared dog with expert and kind care, being sure to watch for roadside traffic. He allowed the owner to walk the dog to the man's house, and just gave a wave when the slip lead was returned. As a 40-year-old-man who's owned dogs all of my life, I was horrified. As that dog's owner and the idiot dog owner in this story, I cannot speak to how grateful I am that a vet and his tech stopped immediately, spent 5 minutes and kept working with me as we tried to herd a dog that was herding us. He didn't upsell or see it as anything as part of caring for dogs as a whole. I doubt he'd even assume I'd remember the name on the truck. He and his team care when no one else is watching, when no invoice is passing and with no one "watching". That's the kind of difference that matters when looking for care. He didn't have to. He certainly didn't have to when he knew I had eyes on my dog. But he did and made sure that the dog was safe. Thanks, Doc.
