My trash pick up day is on…read moreMonday, and it's Wednesday evening and my trash is the only trash in the subdivision still sitting on the curb. I received a telephone call and I have called Republic three different times and sent two different emails about my trash pick up. I was promised yesterday that someone would be out yesterday to pick up the garbage. I called again today and London told me that someone would be out here by close of business today. It's nearly 530, I've tried calling the office again, and no one is picking up. It's going on day number four. I have paid my payments in advance, but my trash still isn't given priority. I have only been at my residence four months and then the last four months this is the second time that this has happened.

They lied because I work from home and never saw the truck come pass the house. We are now into the latter part of the 2nd week and the issue is still unresolved. We have been "escalated" 5 times now... today is 04/27 and no member of management is willing to take 5 minutes and discuss the issue. I waited on hold for 29 minutes in efforts to speak with the boss of the supervisors to no avail. Horrible service - no accountability - failed customer service. If we could report a zero, we would. Would not recommend this company for services to anyone.

I can say that my trash is always picked up -- no problem there. But, I've had to call every other Monday for the past 10 weeks to have my recycling picked up (normal recycling hours are every other Friday for pick ups). So, I get to enjoy the views of my beautiful blue recycling bin at the end of my driveway all weekend long as a reminder of the ineptitude of Robertson Sanitation's scheduling & route coordination. It's Tuesday night and although I've been guaranteed 3 times since Friday that my recycling is moments away from being picked up, there still looms that brilliant blue rolling receptacle at the end of my drive still with a belly chock-full of cardboard, cans, plastic and paper. I can't count how many times I've been told, "Don't worry, I've passed this along to my escalation team." I'm fairly certain at this point, that the "escalation team" is just a made-up term given to their customer service to use when they can't actually fix the problem and have no other means to get a frustrated customer off the line. The smart thing would be to cancel -- I should have canceled after the 3rd time it happened. The only thing stopping me has been the $45 activation that their competitor (or sister company, I haven't actually researched enough to know if it has different ownership) charges. If this issue continues, I'll just pay the $45 because it's the same thing as continuing to give money to a company like Robertson Sanitation that won't actually provide services for that payment.
