I will be reporting him to the Better Business Bureau.... he also has an F rating score with the Better Business Bureau...He took my familys deposit on a job and quit and stop coming after he tore everything up leaving my car a mess. He NEVER DOES WHAT HE SAYS. 3 day job turned into 3 LONG weeks of NOTHING.... he ignored our calls and texts! Worse experience in my life. A simple job of replacing the door panels on a VW Beetle turned out terrible. I got suckered in for $240, and have nothing to show for it. He completed the job the first time late, days after he promised. My wife picked.up.the car, paid him in full. When I saw the shitty job he did, I returned it. Henry agreed it was poor quality and would fix it. I returned the door panels only, and 4 weeks later had to get them back unfinished and wrong. He did not return calls, never kept a commitment, at some point I had to call from different numbers to talk to him. He was never in the shop, and always had an excuse. The girl in the office just sits there, takes your info and never passed on the message. I think in some of my visits there to see my parts, she said he was out, when really he was hiding in the backroom, afraid to step up, be a man and deal with the issue directly. I am turning this over to the Bureau of Automotive Repair, leaving a comment at the BBB, and this YELP. Do not get suckered in and waste your money. Go somewhere else. He will tell you all his great work, his Christian faith, all a ploy to get your $$$. I wanted $200 of my money back, and told him I would not launch a campaign against him. As usual no reply. I think he is not all there mentally, unless stealing your money and holding your car hostage. Please go somewhere else and do not support this persons business. Going there is flushing your time, money and patience down the toilet. Also he has no license and look at BBB for more bad reviews. Henry is not good enough for any stars for a rating, if anything he deserves negative stars. So here I sit. Door panels in pieces, the vinyl inserts he made are wrong and dont fit since the idiot trimmed them net and I wasted 5 weeks hassling this guy. I am not a bad person, I kept trying to work with him, all the time I feel like he was screwing me and laughing behind my back. I was not polite picking up my parts, of course he was not there, the standard answer of be back in 30 minutes. His car was there, and I know he was hiding in the back. Well guess what Henry, fuck you and I hope you lose way more than my $240 in future business. I enlisted the services of Henry to reupholster one used RECARO Orthoped ($2400) seat and a brand new RECARO Pole Position seat in April leaving my M3 with no front seats, asked him if he was up to the job specs I gave and he agreed, I paid him cash in full 4/16/12. By July I had to save my new seat, which now looks used. Now it's 8/19/12 and the other seat is still in pieces. My experience has been nothing but excuses and promised dates that have come and gone. I cannot in good conscious let customers be taken by this business. read more

Henry is a cool dude i like him I gave him 2 stars to be fair...but i took my car to him to put a sunroof in fairly simple install he was willing to do it the day i called him which was cool because corona sunroof couldnt do the job for a week or so...so i went to henrys shop...he installed my sunroof about a week later we had rain in Riverside my sunroof began to leak he diddnt connect the drain hoses...(OK NO BIG DEAL 1 DAY OF RAIN ) take it back tell him its leaking to check the drain plugs...he takes my take for a few hours call me back and tells me he forgot to hook them up whatever no big deal....but the other day i had to replace some hatch wiring and I pulled my rear headlner and the 2 back drain plugs for my sunroof are clearly just sitting there unplugged and u can see water stains everywhere..and he broke 2 of my handles on the headliner....oh well u live and you learn read more

I gave Henry one star because the work that he did do right does look nice but with that being said every other aspect of his work is shoddy at best ! I did a full interior on my vehicle it wasn't a hard job by any means I gave him the easiest canvas to work with. His quote was decent and he is local that's why he got the work. I wish I would never have went to him, he had my vehicle a month over the deadline which ruined the rest of my plans so now I'm way behind schedule on my build. What I mean by his work is shoddy he didn't put my Hardware on the panels i.e. the window roller uppers/handles and the worst part is when he put the headliner on he did not cut out my dome light , he just buried it. Don't take your car here! Most of the other upholstery shops in the area are very busy; this place is not. There's a reason for that! Once he has your deposit money in hand, Henry becomes rude and obnoxious and works at his own glacial pace. I honestly thought I would have to call the police to get my truck back. Don't do it! This guy is flat out a "crook" !!!! He was supposed to complete the canvas for my boat and will not return phone calls. Yet complete the job! Always swears he will call me back because he is "driving"... Like none of us talk on our phones while driving. I had to re-posses the boat from his driveway so I could get it back home. It's been over 10 weeks. He took the 800.00 deposit and was just so eager to stop by my office and pick it up. Haven't seen a single stitch, pattern, or piece of material yet. That's right... 10 + weeks now and still counting. Sure - I'll sue him and get my money back and more. But the fact that this guy remains in business is amazing.. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else!!!!! read more

Long story short, he avoided my calls and never touched my items for 7 MONTHS!!!! He was never at the shop and no one that worked for him knew where my things were. I have to agree with all of the one star reviews. every thing they said happened to them happened to me, except my experience was worse ! I have a 1988 lincoln town car with 1/2 landau top, I ask henry if he had done any of these. he said he had done lots of them. the agreed price was $450.00. and time was 1week to complete. I paid him $250.00 to start. after going to his shop every week for 2 months, I saw that the top (and the interior) of my car were taken apart. I thought it was finally getting done. after about 3 more months of begging henry to finish the car henry said he should have charged me $500.00, my answer was ok, just get it done. 6 months later the car was still in one of his cluttered bays (in the back) with another car blocking it in. at that point I was going to his shop 3 to 4 times a week. he then moved the car to what he said was his daughters house and parked it outside, where it sat for another month. I had a health issue and was going into the hospital for about a week. I told henry that I was going to pick the car up when I was able to after I got out of the hospital, finished or not. he brought the car to my house (finished) the day before I was to go the hospital. I was not feeling well so I did not go out to look at the car. I paid him the remaining $250.00 plus he did not have change so I gave him another $10.00 on top. when I did look at the job after I got out of the hospital, OMG, words cannot tell you how bad it looks, I have a 9 year old grandson who could have done a better job!!!! I don't think it can be fixed. in addition to the poor workmanship on the top they did a lot of damage to my car. knee dents on the roof (4 total) a large dent on the trunk and 2 large dings on the doors. several of the interior panels have some pretty major damage. I have owned the car for 15 yrs so I know these were not there as henry has claimed. I'm looking for someone else at this point to tear the top off and redo.there is not room to tell all the agravating things that happened on this adventure. as others have stated this guy is a liar and a crook. again there is not room to describe how bad this guy really is just don't deal with him. . read more

Took longer than first stated, but my Lincoln Town Car front seats and arm rest make the back seats look shabby. It took a week rather than two days, not that bad. Very nice guy, took me to work when he had to finish the install and picked me up when it was done. My son who paints cars is impressed and said he will recommend Henry to his clients when they need upholstery. read more

If I could give them 0 starts I would. My car was taken here without my knowledge by a family member who thought they were doing something nice. Which I appreciate but the service was horrible. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. First, they didn't even have the job done when they said they would. It wasn't finished until much later. Then after the work was done I noticed that center divider had stables facing up. The gentleman who did the work did not want to acknowledge his work. But after fixing the staple situation it is all uneven. I wish my car was never taken here. Not worth it!!! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would!!! First I'd like to start off saying I found him online and he was super good and had a great competitor price for my 1965 mustang headliner and he was very accommodating since my car didn't run and he came to my house to do it. I returned to him the second time for my seats and door panels for the same car.i went to him because he did a good job the first time around and wanted to give him the business...however this was not the case for the rest of my interior. He would state he was working on my seats and that it would take two weeks. He told me to only drop off seats first then my side door panels after my seats were done. I made sure to tell him to make sure to order enough material for my panels. He did not do this. It took over two months to get just my front bucket seats and back seats. When I came to pick up my seats they weren't cleaned up there was dust all over them and chalk lines still on the material. When I came back to have my door panels done. He stated he needed to order more material and it would take another two weeks. After calling back after 3 weeks he said he was working on them and found out he hadn't even ordered the material. After another week he said the place he gets his material from was on vacation for the holidays . After another 2 weeks he still had not ordered the material or started working on them. He stated he was really busy and was working on them however that was another lie. He stopped returning my phone calls or answering. He then told me to have someone else do them. I asked him to drop them off at the shop wear my car was and another 3 weeks had past and he was ignoring my phone calls and messages. He became very rude and condescending. I told him he should've just told me he didn't have time to do them from the beginning instead of never even working on them or getting the material. He became more rude and mean. He put my car behind on timeline over 2 1/2 months due to him not responding. He did a good job the first time however if he doesn't feel like working on your project or think he will get more money from you he will not listen or pay attention to his customer. I do not recommend him due to the second interaction I had with him or his "company". read more

WARNING WARNING ...Please do not take your car here, i received my car back worse than I brought it to this shop. Once I found the condition of my car was, I tried to get my money back, Henry told me that "I seemed like a nice person and I will fix your car for free", as if he was doing me a favor by fixing the mistakes and damages that he did himself. Another thing that disturb me is that I had to go to his house to pick up the vehicle, not cool. I did not pursue the return of my money (240.00) because it was not worth seeing him again, and frankly he would not have given it to me without a court battle anyway. This guy promised me he would do my conv. top back window fast as he works into the late hours. Well that was not the case, we came to see it completed or pick it up after (4) days & he was no where to be found! In addition my car was stored away in his tiny garage & he had not even started on it! His wife did not know where he was & she called him on his cell phone which he didn't answer....By the way his standard answer to not (ever) answering his cell phone is that it is on the charger! RIGHT! Now when it was almost (7) days he calls me, only because I called him & left a message on his machine (again I was told it was on charger) anyway he calls me & says he can't do the job & that I can come pick it up! I picked it up & we were arguing about his crappy business ethics! Needless to say, I will NEVER go back there EVER! & if you are reading these reviews, take heed & look elsewhere. This is the most unproffessional so called business that I have ever seen & I deal with companies all the time for my business. STAY AWAY!!!
