Our original purpose…read morewas to purchase and sell catches from offshore fishing vessels owned by Bill Mullis and his long time friend and fishing partner, Charles Olsovsky, as well as other vessels. B&C currently has an in house fleet of 9 fishing vessels. The main fishery being that of Atlantic Sea Scallops. Bill and his brother, Ed Mullis are both past employees of Sea Rich Seafood formally based out of New Bedford Massachusetts. The brothers functioned as buyers for Sea Rich in the mid Atlantic region, creating many relationships buying from vessels directly while establishing a broad distribution base for a large variety of products. B&C Seafood is operated today by Bill's brother, Ed Mullis and has a unique position in the marketplace of a health conscious global population. We provide our customers with direct access to the finest quality sea scallops as well as other seafood available in the market. Our seafood has remained in high demand based on a long term reputation for some of the highest quality "off the boat" product in the business.

I wanted time to read the board and learn how they are operating due to covid. I loved their set up. You pull up, park and get out of your car to look at the whiteboard menu closer. Once you know what you would like, head to the door and knock. Someone will open the door and take your order. So simple! TIP: CASH AND CHECK ONLY! Today I had a sweet lady take my order and package it all up. She wore a mask the entire time, as so did we. She was helpful at showing us what a deviled crab looked like, and help explain other items. I really appreciate that she took the time to do that. It makes me want to come back and purchase more when businesses do that. There was also an older gentleman inside enjoying a crab cake sandwich. He had the biggest sweetest smile ever. He was a happy a can be with that sandwich, and I was definitely jealous! The crab cakes were delicious. I'm making something with the meat on Friday. Just not sure what yet. Another little bit of information, they have a restaurant that opened a few months ago. They have good food! It is just down the street near the Food Lion.

Best hush puppies I've had anywhere, with no exaggeration. It has all the aesthetics of a repair shop waiting room, but still welcoming at the same time. And I hope they never change. Everyone who knows good places to eat already understands that most of the time the establishment doesn't come with distractions from the food. Personally, I like my family owned restaurants straightforward. They clean the shrimp. The scallops are buttery. The catfish is fried just right. Again, I hope they never change. Footnote: if the parking spots are full, there's a reason for that - A loyal customer base.

Very Disappointed With the Customer Service…read more If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would. I went there to purchase three fish dinners and decided to order two crab cakes to try something different. Unfortunately, the crab cakes were absolutely disgusting. I called the restaurant to let them know about my experience, and I specifically told them that I wasn't asking for a refund. I simply wanted to use the $14 I spent toward something else in the future. I still had the crab cakes and was willing to bring them back. Instead, I was told that they use their own grease to cook them and that the owner said I could not bring them back or receive any credit. What really disappointed me was the lack of customer service. They would rather lose a loyal customer over $14 than try to make the situation right. I was going there three times a week, and every time I went, I was purchasing 3-4 dinners. I had even started recommending this restaurant to other people because I supported their business. But after this experience, they will no longer have my business, and I will not recommend them to anyone. Rollins and Graham on Armistead Avenue will have my business from now on. Customer service means a lot to me. It's not always about getting your money back--it's about how you treat your customers when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, this restaurant failed that test for me. I would think twice before spending your money here.

They offer sandwiches that come with two hush puppies and dinner plates that include three sides, such as French fries, hush puppies, and coleslaw. They also cook food to order, including crab balls, deviled crabs, crab cakes, crab egg rolls, shrimp, scallops, whiting, trout, tilapia, croaker, spot, oysters, soft-shell crab, flounder, and more. They also have lunch specials and even chicken nuggets for those who don't want seafood. A few things to know before you go: Cash only--- no credit cards, debit cards, checks, or EBT. Bottled sodas are $1.60. Canned sodas are 80¢. Bottled water is $1.00. I've never had a bad experience here. The food has always been good, and people who come here seem to love it. The customer service is friendly, especially the lady who works the counter. During my last visit, they had run out of a couple of items I wanted, so she gave me a complimentary crab egg roll to try. I appreciated the gesture, although the crab egg roll was just okay in my opinion. The dining area is simple and nothing fancy, but it's clean. They also have an open kitchen window where you can see the food being prepared, and everything looked clean from what I could see. The only thing that stood out to me was that the fans outside could use a good cleaning. They're open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and are closed on Sundays. They're conveniently located across the street from the fire station, with buses stopping nearby. If you're a seafood lover--- or you're looking for live crabs--- I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try!

I went in for fresh seafood and left with freshly fried seafood and fresh seafood. The cashier Tanisha made the visit incredible. She was very helpful and personable. She gave great recommendations and kept us laughing. We tried the gumbo, lobster crab cake and fried shrimp dinner. The lobster crab cake was large and full of meat but more crab then lobster. It wasn't lump crab meat more like shredded. Overall it was good as long as you're not looking for lump. The gumbo was also decent. It was full of crab and shrimp. It lacked some distinctive flavor but maybe because it's summer I wasn't really in the mood for soup. Lastly the fried shrimp dinner was yummy. Good sized shrimp cooked perfectly. French fries were good. Hush puppies were majorly disappointing. They were cold and chewy. They tasted old. Hush puppies have to be hot and crispy, otherwise don't serve them, but that's my opinion. Overall It's a good spot to get some fried seafood or fresh.
