Max are 4 people at a time (at this moment, possibly 5 but one is a new mama.) One person walked next to my son the entire time. They made me feel very safe and comfortable. Ride is approximately 40-45 minutes. It's the perfect amount of time for beginners. I ended up buying a second package so we can go back at the end of our trip. I highly recommend Corbett Farm.

I'm used to going on horse rides where the leader rides in front of the group on their horse and the horses follow. The horses were physically walked by the staff and owner the entire trail and the lead rope wasn't even placed correctly so the horses couldn't take accurate direction we kept getting walked into bushes and low hanging trees. The owner kept yelling directions at staff. It was loud and obnoxious. You could tell the staff didn't appreciate it. Treated us like children. The helmets we used didn't seem sanitary or washed. For a birthday ride it was sub par.

Most positive reviews are from before current owners took over. VERY poor communication. There is a pricey NON REFUNDABLE "on boarding fee" for boarders. Over priced, frequently increasing rates Poor quality hay (My horse wouldn't eat it, so I, other boarders and even the barn manager/trainer) ended up buying our own hay) My own horse was left unfed 5 times during my 3 month stay! I have proof of this. She also lost weight while boarding there. When I brought up my concerns, I was treated as if it was "no big deal," Was told "My bad" from flakey manager each time....yet it continued to happen. Even on the last day. Every concern was met with defensiveness and no real solution. I have full documentation/texts and photos of these events, and am happy to share. The "Manager/trainer" is overworked, unprofessional and forgetful. There are Rats in the feed room, Loose horses roaming around, and rotten wood fencing. There IS a decent sized but crowded arena, NO round pen, the indoor arena is dark and dusty. Boarder's needs take a back seat to lessons, leasers, and horse camps, as they generate the most $$. The lease and lesson horses are over used, and several of them quite old. Up side: Nice boarders (most of which I am still friends with) and kind, tolerant (often overused) horses. Board at your own risk. Everything I describe here is 100% true, and I am more than happy to provide texts, photos and emails to anyone interested to back up my claims.

We encountered chickens and kittens which my daughter loved. On the ride we came across monarch butterflies, beautiful views and wild cherries. The terrain was rolling hill like with several picture worthy viewpoints. The paths were a mix of gravel and grass. Sarah was a fantastic and easy going hostess. Denny was a wonderful guide, very patient with my daughter and made sure she was comfortable by teaching her some basics and working in the barn before setting out on the trail. We will go back!
