Love this place. The people are wonderful. The horses are happy, there's ample turnout, and the trainer is amazing.

Eric is the trainer and what an awesome one at that! He is kind, funny, encouraging and SO knowledgeable! He doesn't make your head spin with technical jargon. Everything is broken down so even the most nervous inexperienced rider would be able to understand what he is trying to convey in a lesson. From children to advanced adults, all you see are happy faces when people are in the arena with Eric. Myself included! I've had many a lesson with a handful of trainers. Eric is by far one of the easiest to relate to. Down to earth comes to mind. The facilities are wonderful. The patrons I have met all seem welcoming and pleasant. The lesson horses are great too! I am looking forward to continuing my riding education at the Chase. My next lesson can't come soon enough!

The barn is clean and large. The horses are friendly and always put a smile on my face. I am looking forward to my lessons twice a week. Safe to say I've fallen in love with riding thanks to The Chase! Very excited for my future lessons and would highly recommend them. Oh and there's a really sweet and adorable Black Labrador, Can't forget her!

I've now been a boarder at Sky Ranch for over 2 years, and can honestly share that it's heaven on…read moreEarth. I've had my Arabian gelding for over a decade plus, and when his former boarding facility closed I was so stressed to find that magical place that lets "horses be horses". Sky Ranch is the bees knees, it understands horses true nature. My boy is out on a large pasture with a herd of friends 24/7 turn out in the Spring /Summer and evening turn in the Winter to well cleaned and drained stalls. He's allowed to free graze, gets the highest quality hay and alfalfa daily, plus owner provided grain/supplements and meds fed by Jon (huge solid rock of support) and Franny (who is the kindest human you will ever know); both live on site. Big hearts. Serious animal lovers. The real deal. Community is important and the trails are off the hook amazing (vistas, meadows , creek crossings, old growth forest, alders, resident owls and all the flora and fauna of the PNW) looking for community for your horse and yourself, Sky Ranch is the real deal, truly a unicorn in the equestrian world, and so close to Portland. Jon cares deeply for the herd, and has a personal connection to your horse and their quirks and personality; it's truly peace of mind because if anything feels off, he's huge on communication. I love this, and I'm so grateful.

I used to rent here. I have many reasons why I disliked this place. Here are the few reasons why…read moreyou should not rent here. One they do not have your interest or your horses interest in mind One day I came back to check on my horse and somebody put my horse out with another horse that we're not compatible in a small circular pin. My horse was no angel. He chased around that horse forever how long that day I found him doing that. (Not safe) another reason is they told me I can paint my stall if I pay for it which I was fine with and three Pacific colors which I was fine. And I use those three colors I made a silhouette of a horse running and everyone liked it in the barn. But besides the Group for the barn that are chairman I believe? Katie which is the person who works at the barn that get Leases at the barn she calls me at 3o'clock in the morning saying that I have to paint over my Painting I did in my stall. It was messed up. And a really big reason why you shouldn't rent here is that they don't have insurance that covers you if your stuff gets stolen when you're renting there and they give out lock numbers to everyone which does not help the situation. They are very snobby at the same time their barn is also falling apart and it's funny how I remember them putting out fliers saying they need money to make the barn look better with flowers. So stupid
