I understand that this behavior isn't unique to Dr Beran, and that many doctors and hospitals are guilty of the same thing, which is a a major factor contributing to the out of control medical system in this country, I find this type of billing to be reprehensible, and can't help wondering what do people do who don't have insurance! After going over the details of the procedure, he gave us a tour of his operating suite (which I felt was more of a comforting setting as opposed to being in a large hospital).
