First of all, Valerie was amazing! This was not my first here but I haven't been since December. I have eczema and recently had a really bad break out. I believe my body was too alkaline as I drank nothing but alkaline water. It may not be the main source but I believe it contributed to it. Anyway, I came in for some Castor oil. Unfortunately, they were sold out but Ms. Valerie put me on the Black Seed oil and gave me the complete run down. She even went to the computer to look some things up regarding eczema triggers. If you don't know what you need then don't go for suggestions or help. I have been here before years ago and had great service. Even had massages at the store. I will never suggest to go there again. If I wanted to pick out my own stuff it is cheaper to purchase on the internet. I went in for knowledge and guidance. The staff was completely uninterested in helping me. I over heard the person that told me they were not knowledgeable in what I needed shying the other person to help one. To which her response was show her the wall. read more

I like this store. I needed some Dr. Bronner's (soap) while passing through Aiken, and Herbal Solutions rightly fixed me up - but there was more to this place. First, they had a good selection of supplements and health foods and the like, along with a great big pet section with the animal equivalents. But, also, I just liked the store's underlying atmosphere, which was positive and uplifting in a way that's hard to describe. Also, the cashier was especially personable (we actually had a meaningful, sincere conversation - unheard of in about any retail space, it seems). I called to ask if they carried Essentia, Alkalife or any other high ph water. The guy that answered had no idea what I was talking about!!! After I tried to explain several times to him and not only wasn't he grasping what high ph water is, he was suggesting other things like aloe water. I asked if there was a manager there that I could speak to that might understand better. Nope. I asked what brands of water they carried. He said they don't sell any water. I said "Really? You don't sell any water?!". He said no again and hung up on me! What an idiot. That will get you a great review! read more

This place has it all! They have an amazing variety of herbs and supplements and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The owner Jeri is friendly and has a wicked sense of humor. The massage is my favorite part however, all the massage therapists are really good but Nick is my favorite...the perfect amount of pressure and he worked out all of my aches and pains in one session! I also love that the store carries natural pet food as well, gotta take care of the furry friends too! I would definitely recommend Herbal Solutions to anyone looking for high quality herbal products and the best massage around! read more

I have been in this store maybe five times in five years. I never end up buying anything and I'm not sure why I return. Whenever I go in, the staff seems to be too busy to be bothered with simple questions. In fact, each time I went in I was greeted as if I was interrupting their day. When I asked if they carried a particular supplement, I was bombarded with questions about why I needed it by the owner. I do a ton of research on what I chose to eat and she got extremely competitive for no reason and tried to make me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about. She was very aggressive, relentless, and made me so uncomfortable that I ended up leaving. Another time, I asked about massages and the boy at the front desk did not seem to want to stop looking at his phone to assist me. I asked if they carried a particular brand of dog food recommended by my vet and was told that my vet was "wrong and obviously doesn't have a lot of experience with dogs." Bottom line: I like to support local businesses but just because this store is more convenient than Earth Fare or Whole Foods does not mean I will give them my money, and I hope anyone reading this will consider taking their business elsewhere. read more

I first encountered Herbal Solutions in a quest to find a sleep aid that didn't come from Wal-Mart or Amazon. The owner, Jeri, recommended just the thing. I've come to buy natural soaps and haircare products from them, as well. They also have a pretty decent selection of essential oils, unrivaled in the Aiken area. They have a huge pet supply section. People with pets will be in and out (be aware of that!) so I imagine they do well in that regard. I've also noticed they've begun to carry local honey. read more

We've been in twice and the owner is not friendly. It really struck me that she could be that unfriendly and run a store. Come on, a smile is part of the job. Especially in a customer service business when you're the owner. Other than that, nice store. read more
