Upon entering, this place literally took our breath away. The plants, coffee/pastry combo - how could it not be an oasis? After missing our turn to go somewhere else, our need for coffee was strong and Herban Coffee and Blooms became our happiest accident of the day. The gentleman at the counter happily greeted us and we ordered a couple breakfast sandwiches. Not sure what sorcery was used while making them, as the simple ham and cheese croissant was a gift in every bite. The coffee was the perfect compliment. Even though we had things to do, we still decided to stay and soak in the beautiful atmosphere of the cafe. Not only can you get plants and coffee, but local goods and adorable gifts. Every Main Street needs a supreme coffee shop, and Herban is well enough to carry that weight for the whole dang county. * Lovely little house plants (which might be difficult for even *me* to kill), and even some dried bouquets - yes, please * A delightful array of bohem housewares (incense, candles, soaps, cards) - yes, please * A honey-shaken lattee (?!) - HELL yes * An everything bagel with cream cheese (and avocado, because sometimes you can't decide between the two) - yum * A delicate array of baked goods (cinnamon roll, hand pie, scone) - I'll take it all to-go, thanks Prices are reasonable; the quality and care of the goods and service is hard to beat. Very warm and cozy cafe. The atmosphere is very relaxed with a vintage look. The breakfast is very well portioned and delicious. The hashbrown casserole is a new but delicious item on the menu. Their cafe late is nice and smooth and delightful, which came in a beautiful little mug. Honestly I felt like I was in a classic private study. Its comfortable, welcoming, it feels like home. The staff is very nice and cordial; just awesome people. If you're a part of the Nebraska passport, this is a stop on the roadmap and so worth it. read more

I came here 4 days in a row. I was lucky that the Plattsmouth Fall Fest was going on at the same time. The owners basically did everything I want for my future cafe-5 stars: Great service: received great service consistently Menu: I ordered a vanilla latte each time and it didn't disappoint. My boyfriend was happy they served sweet tea. Pretty diverse selection of drinks. Wanted to try the lemonade but I went there a lot and at some point had to stop myself. We had the meatball soup and it was good. The berry scone was our favorite baked good choice. Price point is comparable to Starbucks. I'd pick this over Starbucks because it's local. Environment: cool, hip, and original Plattsmouth architecture. Small tables outside if you want to enjoy the weather and downtown. Highly recommend and will be returning read more

Our favorite Bakery/Coffee we have EVER gone too! They serve all kinds of handmade food, soups, scones, muffins & cookies. They carry variety of teas that I love iced, but are tasty hot during the cooler months. It is worth the trip into downtown Platty to visit. They also sell very cool handmade gifts. read more

Wonderful shop. Calming atmosphere and a great little menu. I had an iced coffee with an added a flavor burst of lavender and later I ordered the vegetable pizza which was delicious. Herban Coffee Lab is the wonderful place to experience a little piece of Americana. I'm not even a history fanatic but there's something special about visiting a coffee shop in the historic downtown district of Plattsmouth that just makes your day a little better. I visited on a bitterly cold frozen day and still I could feel how special the area was. I can't wait to go back during a warm summer weekend to watch the coffee shop in the little town of Plattsmouth thrive. The owner was at the shop the morning I was there and told me about upcoming events in town and future developments along Main Street. It felt like I had stepped back to a time where you could visit a good establishment and find good people and receive great service. Plattsmouth is about 50 minutes from my house as I live on the other side of Omaha but when guests come to town I think we will definitely make the drive to walk around the business district and enjoy a good cup of coffee. I attended a coffee tasting which included Herban Coffee lab's beans. Their beans far out shined the other coffee I tasted. They get their beans fresh roasted from Omaha, so I think that's a huge part of why their coffee is so good. It's just always really fresh. I've also been to the shop, it's really cute and a calm atmosphere. The owner is very nice. They also have great pastries. And they sell some herbs too. read more
