Caramels are delicious and very attractively packaged. The only thing I have a problem with was I could never find the weight of the product before I ordered. I expected the slabs to be larger. You walk in and the smell just HITS you....chocolate. This place is beautiful. I had so much fun picking out my cherries. What you do is take a glove and a tray and you walk around and pick out what you want, and then when you go to pay they box or bag up your goodies for you. After seeing The Cordial Cherry featured on Yelp's ROTD and perusing their website, I knew I had to stop in here. I stopped by on a weekday evening after work. I saw in a review that the windows are all blocked in order to protect the chocolate, so I wasn't surprised by the "boarded up" appearance of the store. This place is oozing with charm and between the apothecary jars filled with chocolates lining the walls, the whimsical chocolate covered cherries, and the charming touches throughout, it feels a little bit like being inside a magic shop (which isn't far off, because what this place does with chocolate is borderline magical). As soon as I entered I was greeted and, shortly thereafter, a woman came out to explain to me their different options. They have three ways to choose your chocolates. They have both small and large plastic containers with scoops that have a set price per container which you can fill with any of the small chocolates in jars on one half of the store (the small containers are $6.95). The selection in these jars is unreal. They have the standard chocolate covered fruits (blueberries, cherries, apricots, pineapples, etc.), chocolate covered nuts/caramels/coffee or espresso beans, and then some unique options (chocolate covered rose petals, lavender, orange blossom). They also have cookies and cream chocolate balls, mint balls, chocolate covered mini marshmallows, and a variety of other similar options. The second and third ways to shop here are for the other side of the store which contains chocolate covered cherries (some fruit infused - peach, blackberry, watermelon, etc. - and some decorated like lady bugs, dogs, kittens, and little people), fudge, and truffles. You can fill a box (options are for 9 or 18 chocolates) or, if you only want a few, you can place them on a tray and they will package them for you at checkout. Each of the chocolates are individually priced (between $1.50 to $2.95 per item). I decided to fill one of the small containers with assorted chocolates and to also get a box of 9 chocolate covered cherries, fudge pieces, and truffles. At checkout, they wrapped the box, enclosed it with twine, and attached a cute "to/from" card (in case it was a gift) and a sprig of evergreen. The packaging is amazing and so adorable! These would make a great and easy gift! So the most important part - how everything tasted. I had selected a little of everything for my small container, so when I got home and tried some, I had no idea what most of it was. Everything was awesome, though. Some of my favorites (which I was able to identify) were the chocolate covered marshmallows and the chocolate covered rose petals, lavender, and orange blossom. I wasn't a huge fan of the fruit infused chocolate covered cherries (I chose watermelon and peach), but did really enjoy the mint and amaretto truffles and the regular chocolate covered cherries. My total was just over $20 for my small container and box of 9 chocolates. These are pricey, but so worth it. These aren't your average chocolates and are perfect for a gift or just a splurge for yourself! I will definitely be back here! read more

I am pleasantly surprised to find a place like this in omaha! I wish the owner much success and hope that the steady stream of business I witnessed the other day is the norm. First, don't bring kids here!!! I made the mistake of bringing my 4-year old and there are too many beautifully crafted chocolates and glassware at her level for my comfort. Plus, the walkways are narrow, but in a good way. When I first walked in, I was a little confused, I saw folks roaming with various packaging options, silver platters, canisters and tongs and I didn't know how this whole process worked so had to ask for instruction. You have many delicious options to choose from but I settled on chocolate covered cherries, truffles and a couple of other artisan chocolate items. The box I customized of 9 different options was $20. While browsing for chocolate I could watch the cherries being decorated. The cherries are the definite strength, I am not always a fan of these, but honestly I normally get these prepackaged in a box of 20, not hand dipped that very day, which is what I got at the cordial cherry! In my opinion, the artisan chocolates were my least favorite, we got white chocolate pineapple cilantro (yes that all went together) and cinnamon cayenne. They just didn't do anything for me. I will definitely come back for some more cherries and to sample other delectable chocolates! read more

Thanks to the sharp eyes of my husband and his infallible memory for things I fancy! We found they had simply moved and now I am on their mailing list so I never lose them again. Plus they give out better in-house coupons than Groupon. Standard offerings: The cherries! - champagne, dark chocolate, orange...$1.50 a piece and very worth it! Funny specialty cherries at $2.50 a pop, would be great as table favors: kittens and fishbowls, Husker N, elephants, pumpkins, baby rattles...too many to list Truffles - made by another company and excellent. $1.50 a piece. I had dark chocolate, grand marnier, coconut, tropical fruit....all wonderful. New offerings: Caramels - very uniquely flavored, I had a Indian style spicy caramel, and will go back for the sea salt caramel (they were out); priced a little high at $1.50 per piece Fudge - tried the regular chocolate, just okay, not worth $1.50 per piece I did not try the nut brittles and candied nuts, but will. Shopping here is a special experience. The business is family-owned and operated. They are very friendly and helpful. The confections are family recipes. The kitchen is in full view behind a glass case and the aroma is fantastic. The packaging is elaborate and unique: Victorian and outdoorsy at the same time. You select a box and a pair of tongs and roam around the table displays: old wooden doors tabletops with glass cake keeps hold the cherries; glass topped wood boxes that look like gigantic cigar boxes enclose the truffles. When you are ready, which for me takes a while (my husband held the box while I selected my chocolates), you bring the box to the counter and they finish it with a lid, natural twine, a tiny folded white card, and a real sprig of something evergreen. We love Cordial Cherry! We used them for our wedding for hotel guest room favors and got a lot of compliments. This shop is adorable inside... everything is displayed to perfection. I love their packaging. She thinks of literally every single detail. Worth going in and making a custom box. The detail she puts into the specialized cordial cherry's is amazing. The Cordial Cherry faces 180th St. in a strip mall at 180th and Pacific. It almost looks as though the store is closed and boarded up, as all the windows have curtains or burlap covering them. It turns out this is to protect the chocolates from the afternoon sun. These chocolates are worth every protection. At $1.50 a pop the chocolate-covered cherries are not cheap, but they are divine. Attractively presented and taste even better than they look. Other chocolate treats are offered besides cherry cordials but my experience has been mostly limited to the different flavors of cherries. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted and asked if this was our first time visiting, answering "yes" the cordial cherry chocolate maker directed us on where to find what types of chocolates and explained the process for filling a box or container. The selection of chocolates were organized in a thought provoking way....at this point I'm thinking, should we fill the small box or large box?! We decided on the small box, and filled one row with cherry cordials and the rest with truffles and clusters. So far I have eaten a white chocolate cherry cordial and a mint truffle and they were delicious. You have to visit and try for yourself, especially the cherry cordials. My Dad has always loved cordial cherries and I never let his birthday, Christmas, or Fathers Day pass without bringing him a box of these treats (it's a major step up from the old Queen Anne ones ) The artistry, quality, and love put into these cordial cherries are amazing! The Cordial Cherry has moved to the Shops at Legacy at 168th and Center next to the Parliament Pub. I discovered this when I went to the old address yesterday and they weren't there! after looking on the Facebook page last night I realized I was really close to the new place moved from 180th and Pacific to 168th and Center. being Christmas chocolate covered cherries chocolate truffles we called them "candies" and fudge were a staple in my childhood Christmas getting my own box every year. the store is lovely and I LOVE that you can pick up a 12 box for a reasonable amount considering the quality and selection of the products.. I've only tried one.. a chocolate covered cherry.. but it was the best one I've ever had. ever.. the parking is right in front and the shop charming and deliciously smelling.. if you want something specific- special order during this week for sure.. love it! read more
