This review pertains to my most recent attempt to obtain a simple replacement retention pin for a…read morescreen door. I will not bother to recount our extremely poor experience when we purchased 7 French Doors several years ago. I had one of their experts come to the home to measure the door frames so that if there were a problem they could not blame me for an incorrect measurement. Surprise surprise when one of the doors did not fit, this after the original door had been removed leaving a gaping hole in our living room wall. It took 5 weeks to receive the correct replacement. BTW, they wanted full payment before the new one arrived. I told them that I would have AMEX put the full amount on hold until the replacement arrived. That got their attention. Back to the current situation: When I visited the store to buy a replacement retention pin, the individual at the front counter was totally clueless. I then asked for the person who handles storm doors. Hilda wasn't in. Two voicemails were left on her line. I was not shocked when she did not respond. The good news is that the Anderson website parts dept. had the part. I should have gone there first rather than waste time with the indifferent and incompetent personnel at TW Perry. Stay away.

One of the guys at 84 lumber has even went out of his way to get samples and send them to me through the mail! They are also all very knowledgeable. My only wish is that they accepted credit card payment from regular buyers. As we need materials and some need to go on credit for the time being, we are unable to make larger purchases there and have to go elsewhere. Also, the reason we like to use our credit card for those purchases is for the the points. For that reason we have made some larger purchases at places like Home Depot and elsewhere for materials. If 84lumber in front royal would accept credit cards for payment on larger items, I'd give them a 5 star review.

I worked with Craig Flickinger, who deserves an extra special "shout-out" for his EXCEPTIONAL customer service and support. He came out to my house, advised the best place to set the shed, and nailed a color combination of siding/shingles off the top of his head which would match my house. He wrapped up the offer and supplied me a quote within a day. After I made my decision, Craig had the site installation crew out with a week to grade and fill a nice, level stone pad, and a few weeks later came back with the delivery crew for installation. Perched on a windy hilltop, Craig worked with me to incorporate hold downs on each corner of my shed for a bit of piece-of-mind, and actually took the time to show me how the contraptions worked. Unfortunately, the delivery crew arrived without my ramp to the garage door. A few days later, after being away for work, I arrived home to see that Craig had come out and installed my ramp for me while I was away. A couple of weeks later, I noticed that the door was out of square. Knowing that I had already accepted the installation, I sent Craig a note asking if he knew of anybody that could do some repair work to correct the door. 2 days later, Craig came out to my house and spent some time to meticulously level out some of the stone under the base of my shed. This brought the door into square perfectly. I've been so completely delighted with this company that I feel compelled to write this review. The Hardscape Store and Mr. Flickinger's care and attention to ensuring my satisfaction with my purchase has been second to NONE. I highly recommend this company, and if you are in the market for a shed, look no further than The Hardscape Store. The VA K&B team was incredibly understanding, paused the project, and went the extra mile of storing our cabinets in their store for the better part of a year. Needless to say, that flexibility was incredibly helpful. Eventually, we were able to move forward and are now enjoying a wonderful kitchen that really transformed the central space in our house. Ada, Hyhan, and Orhan coordinated cabinet delivery and installation, dishwasher and sink plumbing, and our complex curved-bar and countertop installations. The quality and value we received were outstanding. The cabinets we selected were half inch thick wood with dovetailed slow-close drawers, and because we selected a very large remnant piece of Granite, the price was great. I was looking for the expensive Taj Mahal quartzite to transform my island and countertop. Other companies just quoted me at around $12k, but Ada provided a very competitive quote at almost half the cost. There were multiple stone supplier around the corner for me the pick the stone I like. The process was smooth. The team is also very professional. I wanted to add a waterfall to my current island layout and another company said it wasn't possible, but Ada's team made it happened beautifully! I had heard horror story that the Taj Mahal quartzite is so hard to cut, and it would break without proper technology. Fortunately that did not happen to me. Every piece was cut and polished nicely. This team knows what they are doing but did not put a crazy price tag in the work they do. I have to mention the customer service is great with this team. Ada is a reliable, honest and responsive guy to work with. There was an incident that we found our water line leaky after the installation, which could happened during removal of the original granite but nobody was sure. Ada just stood up and took the responsibility immediately. There was also miscommunication during the process but Ada was always there to resolve the problems and made the process worry free. This is the team that you want to work with because unexpected things and mistakes could happen in every project, but they will make it right for you.
