Sent two emails through thier website requesting a quote for a job, never heard back. ‍ Two stars because at least it didn't cost me anything but time, but if you can't be bothered to even send out a quick "sorry, we're really busy, but we'll get back to you," when a new prospective customer reaches out, you're certainly not going to earn my business. read more

Just had our new fence installed and we love it. Oscar and his assistant worked very hard as our yard had some challenges. Both were very professional and accommodating. In the office, Jennifer was very knowledgeable and helpful. From start to finish, Herdt was wonderful to deal with. We had originally contacted another local fence company recommended and we never got anywhere with them. I just had my fence installed and I love it. My experience was a good one. They came out as scheduled. Provided a detailed estimate and made modifications as requested. The fence arrived as promised and The installers were excellent and dealt with complications without complaint. A little problem with the latch but wd40 seems to have done the trick. Contacted them for an estimate to replace 120+ feet of fence. a driveway retaining wall and i wanted to put in some pavers. After negotiateing with a guy on the phone settled on a date to get a quote. I offered up 10 days he could pick from he didn't like any of them. but the one... Waited arround wasteing my day expecting them to show up and they didn't bother to show or to call to let me know they weren't comeing. Company has horrible communication and if they aren't able to bother to show up for a quote what else will they not be bothered to do when installing. read more

Herdt Fencing recently completed replacing all of the privacy dividers that totaled about 90 that were located in Locust Hill. They also installed a new privacy fence that runs along our main roadway. All of the fencing that they installed was of the highest quality. Before they installed all of the fencing they removed all of our old fencing and disposed of all of the material. Their workmanship was also of the highest quality, everything was installed in a timely manner and their pricing was competitive. I don't know what the actual workmanship would be because I didn't use their service. Phone and email response time was slow. When I did get an estimate, all that it had was the total amount. The drawing was not only not to scale, but it wasn't even the shape of my yard. I asked for a breakdown of the cost of labor and materials, but never received it. The estimate itself was outrageous. The person that came out was friendly and professional, but over all, their business practices raise some red flags for me. read more

Great experience from all involved. Got prices from three other installers and Herdt was very competitive. I am not one to go with the cheapest as I have found that you usually get what you pay for. They were excellent communicators and showed up when they said they would. Installers were professional and friendly. I called Herdt Fencing approx. 3 weeks ago to get an estimate about expanding the width of the gate on my vinyl fence. The gentlemen I spoke with said he would be out in the next couple of days to look at the fence and then give me an estimate. Herdt fencing is just down the road from me. Nobody showed up and I called the following week and the girl said she had a note about my estimate request and that she would have someone come out. Still nobody showed. Then I called again and spoke to a woman who said she would pass along my message to have someone come out. A week late still nobody showed or called me. I called again this week and left another message and still have not heard from anyone. I really don't understand how a company that has been around this long (and a family company yet) operates in this manner and still stays in business. Needless to say I am very disappointed in them and would not recommend them. I am the customer and don't see why I need to beg them for their service. I would highly recommend they change their customer focus or they are going to flop! Too many other companies they need to compete with. Mike read more
