She also stated my breed usually doesn't do well at doggy daycare without even meeting my pet but she did state their was a dog there that was the same breed as mine. She made it overtly obvious there was some type of prejudice toward me. I wanted to see if she would even offer a brochure at the end of our interaction which she did not, I had to ask. Needless to say if you treat me in this manner I would not let you even lay eyes on my precious canine. BEWARE!! Make your own judgement but this was my personal experience.

My dog Izzy absolutely loves it at Paws! It's helped him socialize and he always leaves with a smile on his face. Most of the staff is also very nice, loving, good to the dogs. Besides a recent bought of kennel cough Izzy picked up at camp, we have no complaints about the day care. The issue I have is that out of the blue the owners decided to increase the half day rate from $19 to $35! That's 4 hours for $35! And a full day is the price of double what it costs for me to board my dog overnight at my veterinarian. I completely understand a business needing to hike up rates due to increased cost, but not only was this abruptly done, but the owner (like reviewer Hannah experienced) came up to me as I was picking up Izzy and said "we better buy packages now because prices are going up in a day or so!" It was rude and as a regular weekly customer I was offended that a mailing didn't go out, nor did an email or anything professional. Paws not only increases prices but no longer wipe the dogs down after they played and drooled on each other all day, and have not replaces their old, used toys in ages. Makes me sad but if prices don't go down, it seems like once our packages are done we will not be able to return to Paws. Just too expensive!

The answer to my questions was to hand me a business card for Meg, the general manager and explain that the individual doesn't work the front desk normally. My problem is that no matter what your role is within the facility you should know the answers to these basic safety/emergency questions. At the very least you should know where to find the answers and provide them when asked. No, I never messaged Meg. I'd never trust my child to a day care who's staff was uneducated on emergency and safety protocol so why should I trust my puppy to a staff who can not answer these simple questions. Before we jump on the "they just opened, give them time to find their footing" bandwagon let me again say, the individual didn't even bother to look up policy or anything just handed me a card and said that I should email her. I will say this: It appeared to be a secure location, I had to be buzzed in and there was another 2 doors between me and the rooms the dogs are in. It was clean and appeard organized. All this to say - if you like to be the guinea pig then sure, try them out but if your pup is you kiddo then I caution you to look elsewhere. ​

We went on vacation to OC - she came to take care of the usual for our cats & our bunny. Andrea alerted us a few days in that our bunny was not drinking enough water in her opinion. Long story short, his on-again / off-again ear troubles (he's an elderly lop-ear) had become a serious ear infection. When his normal vet said they were too booked/understaffed to take him, Andrea drove him to the nearest vet that would work on a bunny - 40 minutes away! She not only stayed with him, conferred with the vet, got all his meds, but she took him home with her! (Disclaimer: he was pretty sick so I'm sure this is not the norm.) We still have our bunny because of Andrea! This isn't just a business to her - she truly loves animals. When I spoke to the vet on the phone concerning our bunny's treatment, she mentioned how knowledgeable she found Andrea to be & how she thought he would be in good hands until we got back. She was absolutely right! There's not enough praise, gratitude, & admiration I can heap on Andrea & "Take the Lead". Hands down, the best folks to call if you can't take a pet with you on a trip. He got to play with sprinklers, enjoy one-on-one time with staff, cuddle during story time, and even have chicken and rice for dinner -- talk about VIP treatment! The owner, Amanda, has been communicative, friendly, and loves our dog like her own. Sarah is our main walker and shes AMAZING. Their walkers all go above and beyond with pets, toy play, and lots of pet cuddles too. We love the picture updates on walk days, complete with adventure tales, a map of the walk route, and information on potty breaks, water refills, etc. With great communication, easy scheduling, and friendly service, I can't recommend them more to anyone in Baltimore County looking for a dog walker.

I pay for medium doodle (25lb-50lb) which is I think $105-150 or something - and they always charge 105. His cuts have been great and they have listened to all my requests, including having his ears cut really short. They have you pay and tip prior to seeing the dog which has not been an issue. Usually book appt close to and do any groomer available. This last time I brought him, they charged me 10$ more than usual even though prices are still the same, and my dog is (obviously) still the same. I keep him brushed so absolutely no mats. Thought it was weird but whatever. Gave a good tip like I usually do as they had been consistent. But this time his cut was all over the place. He has long straggly pieces everywhere and it just looks overall uneven. His private area/underbelly was not even shaved, and around his butt has long pieces as well and I don't think it was even cleaned. His nails were not even cut. When I dropped him off groomer asked if I wanted the same thing and I said yes reminded about the short ears. Day later I noticed he had a cut and looked like a pretty big scrape in his underarm that was definitely from the grooming - it was inflamed as well. Upset I had to tip before hand... I was feeling generous. Feeling pretty bummed bc I was so happy with their services up until this point, hence 3 stars. Moral of the story I guess is find a good groomer here and stick with them, book in advance. I'll try that from now on and update accordingly. Update: bathed my dog like a normally do once a week post our last grooming and he was petrified, uncontrollably shaking. Not sure what went on but, even though I have had 75% good grooms I'm pretty wary of bringing him back.
