We've been using Love Those Paws since 2015 to watch our cockatiels when we go on vacation. It is much less expensive than boarding them at the vet and less stressful for the animals. The sitters vary but all are enthusiastic based on the reports they leave. After every visit the sitter leaves a note of when they came and left and what they did. They also usually text us an update and a picture of our birds. We come back to a stack of reports. The sitter stays a while after the food, water, and paper are changed to make sure the birds aren't acting weird, and I hear that some singing goes on. We've never had a problem and have be accommodated at very short notice when we want to go away for the weekend. I highly recommend this company. 1/27/20 Update: Just used them again during a ten day trip to Hawaii. I'm pretty sure our birds are in love with Alex, who came for most oF the visits. Love Those Paws was great from the moment I messaged them for a quote until I returned from vacation. Stewart guided me through setting up a time to go over all the particulars. Despite me typing up a whole instruction sheet, he insisted on walking through again just to be sure (which is very reassuring). The actual pet sitting was spectacular. The pet sitter who was assigned was Kim. She spent plenty of time with the cats and made sure they were well cared for while I was away. The visit reports they leave are really cute as well. Could not have gone smoother! I'd also like to add that they were available with very short notice (3 other pet sitting companies were unable to handle our request). Also want to add that Stewart (when he came for the home visit) was wearing a mask and gloves to protect against COVID (a welcome sight). I wish I could give more stars! Love Those Paws is a wonderful family-owned business that has done wonders for my pup. Stewart, Annette and their walkers treat Molly like she is a member of their family, which is something you won't find at some of those bigger companies. Every week I bring Molly to their place for daycare and they make sure that she isn't just bumming around or, worse yet, kept in a kennel - they walk the dogs upwards of three miles and let them play all day! By the time Molly gets home, she's dog tired. They are super understanding about the chaos of life as well. When I was really sick and called Annette at 10pm to have someone help me take Molly out, she personally showed up within a half hour. I have never experienced that level of concern from any other company. One thing to mention is that because they are a family company, they can only accommodate so many dogs - they individually vet every dog for personality and aggression, they don't have walkers leave the Elkridge/Columbia area and they sometimes have to turn people away. In my opinion, it has made them a better company and it certainly makes their daycare a much more positive atmosphere. So if you get turned away, don't get discouraged. See if they'll add you to a waiting list - it's worth the wait! read more

I was in a hurry to find a solution, otherwise I would have to board the dog which would further upset my Dad. Within 5 minutes of contacting Love Those Paws I received a call from one of the owners, Stewart, who made arrangements to come meet my Dad and his dog the very next morning. By the following day they had him on their schedule for regular walks. They've now been walking the dog for several days, and I have nothing but positive things to say. However, I've been their client for almost two solid years now with regular walks for my dog Ben. There has never been a time when Annette and Stewart could not accommodate my schedule and/or emergency visits, including during the holiday season. My dog enjoys all of their walkers, they leave nice descriptive notes about the walks, the prices are reasonable, and I have never had a cancellation ever. We have been calling on Love Those Paws for about a year to take care of our cats and just love the service they provide. They have great sitters that show a lot of care and attention to our little babies. One of my cats has a health condition, needing medication daily and all the sitters have been very capable of administering the medication and taking care of her. Went out of town for a week and left our 1 year old Pitt/boxer mix puppy and our 16 year old cat alone for the first time. The owner met with us and took notes on our routines and set everything up. I have never written a Yelp review, but I am writing one now because they certainly deserve a good one! I have used their service a few times now. The first couple times, the job was done without much to complain about, but obviously didn't make me wanna go out of my way to write a Yelp review since that's clearly not something I do. This last time, however, they saved the day for us! We had made a mistake and realized that we had requested service starting the day after we were gone, and our cats would have gone a whole day without being fed. However, they accommodated our last minute (literally 10pm the night before we had to leave) request and came the next day! Not only that, one of our cats had to get a medicine and the instructions for medicine and food changed a few times as we had to try different kinds for his allergy. They were so great with following all the different instructions. Our cat's ulcer was in better condition than when we left him! Cannot recommend their service enough!! read more
