When I brought her here to Mid-Michigan, Dr. Creighton did an incredibly thorough eval. She was able to remove some tissue for biopsy prior to the surgery, and that helped my pup a lot. The mass calmed down and stopped bleeding which made it more tolerable for my sweet Sprite while waiting for surgery day. Sprite has a grade 3/4 heart murmur and the team adjusted accordingly for her. Surgery went really smooth and Sprite came through the door wagging her cute little bandaged tail with no problems. Dr. Creighton also helped us out of a jam with scheduling. We had a vacation planned and she was able to squeeze us in quickly so that our pup would have time to heal and I wouldn't have to cancel our trip. The estimates we received from other Vets were three times the price. We live 3 hours away and it was worth the drive. I will come here for any of Sprite's surgical needs in the future. Dr. Creighton took the time to truly evaluate Sprite by manually feeling the mass, performing a biopsy, asking important questions about her health history, and coming up with a plan for her surgery. Sprite is normally a very anxious, nervous dog who hates the vet, but when Dr. Creighton evaluated her, she felt at ease and behaved very well. I am grateful for the Mid-Michigan Surgical​​ Referral center and Dr. Creighton and her team. They will take amazing care of your pup! Do yourself a favor and if you are debating where to go....come here! You won't regret it.

The…read moreonly time I have an unpleasant experience is when Aubrey is not working the front desk. the last two times I've came in for medications she was not at the front desk. an extremely rude, could not care less to look up from her computer girl. I don't know her name but she has been there some time now and wears glasses and looks miserable to be there. highly dissatisfied in her customer service. if you want happy customers you should put the people happy to work there up front. when aubrey is working she greets me right away with a smile, knows exactly what I'm here for and has my dogs meds ready for me within 60 seconds of me walking in. those other girls that work that front desk are rude, pretend they don't see you and should be retrained on customer service. Dr Kenny and his nurses are great, my advice to new people trying this place is when you call or stop in just ask for Aubrey and your experience will be wonderful

My dog had to be put down this week and it was so botched that my dog whined the whole time as they injected him until he died. It took multiple attempts to inject him, so he was just constantly whining either from pain or from fear of the final injection. I was holding him and had to feel him trying to escape the whole time. It was more traumatizing than the three months of his quickly progressing terminal bone cancer and everything awful that came with that illness. I expect someone that has education and experience with euthanasia to have a better idea than I do of when to start the process after the sedation is used, but I guess I was wrong because that was the worst experience of my entire life and I feel like my dog deserved better care in the last moments of his life. Extremely upset about it and probably will forever be traumatized from this, so I wouldn't recommend coming here now for euthanasia.

I feel this place is all about money not about the care and compassion for the animals. My son…read moretook his 2 year old cat there because he ate a nerf dart. They charged him $800 just for an X-ray and fluids. Told him the cat needed surgery it was going to cost no more then $7,000 and no less then $4,500. Wouldn't work with him. So he had to leave with the cat. My son lives in Midland and went there because it was the only place he found that was open because of the holiday weekend. I have also had to take a few of my pets here and they are WAY overpriced. My dog threw a small bone up hole, which then caused her to vasovagal. We didn't know that's what was wrong with her, but I had already read reviews that they like to blame animals getting a hold of marijuana as reason for the pet to be sick. When we got there, which was around 4 PM. They took her in the back said they were gonna do some labs and an x-ray and then around 10 PM. Finally called us back. The first thing he asked is do you have marijuana in your house. I said no and he says well what we think happened is that she had vasovagal episode when she threw up. So $600 for them to keep her in a cage for hours to tell us that she vasovagaled and was fine.
