I've read about this being the place to go for getting supplies for anything vintage Mako. Many of the FB groups mention this place but you have no idea how large it is till you get there. I checked my watch it said I walked 2.5 miles while there. I slept very well that night. Since they bought out the inventory from the original Mako from Miami, after the bass pro acquisition. It took about 3 hours to get here and we left extra early to beat all the traffic. Sadly we spent only 3 hours shopping. I barely got a chance to see everything. I found plenty of supplies but came short with only one off-set engine bracket. I needed a single but this one was too big. Staff here was friendly and willing to help out. With questions and loading up the purchase. 10/2022 Service 5 Location 4 Parking a truck/trailer here can be a challenge. Plus 6 hours of driving and high diesel cost. We booked a time 6 months in advance at Shearwater Ft.Pierce to have them put our new hardtop on…read moreour 43 ft sailboat..We called them a week before we got there to our Marina at Safe harbor to verify it was still a go. We arrived at our marina and went to the office 3 days before we were scheduled for them to put on our new hardtop and made sure there was anything else we needed to do. The day we got our boat into our reserved slip for Shearwater to work on the 3 employees were arguing with one another, didn't have the right tools and then Tom suddenly tells us he has to leave at 2pm which was 2 hours later and we had just started.They lift operator then suddenly tells us that he was only available until 1pm because he had another job to do. Instead of us being able to pull our boat in the reserved slip we booked for an allotted time and walking away and them calling us when it was done...They had us helping and reading directions to the guy with the tools..Then they tied off our sailboat to the chain link fence instead of the cleats.. At one point Tom said asked if we would be able to help them carry our hardtop down the dock and place it on our sailboat that way since they weren't going to be able to finish in the reserved time they told us it would be..we looked at Tom like he'd lost his mind. It was a complete nightmare..we are not customers with unrealistic expectations at all, but when we paid a lot of money for the job to be done right and made sure well in advance that everything was alright with the date, the time, and what we would need to do this turned out to be an awful experience.We had been told before that Shearwater was not a good place to get work done on your boat and most people we talked to didn't have a good experience. We always like to give people the benefit of the doubt. After Shearwater went one hour over our allotted slip time we thought it was completed.We realized after they were specifically shown and marked where the supports are placed and where to drill ...they ended up drilling into the wrong spot. This was April.It took Shearwater until June to fix where they drilled and placed one of the supports in the wrong spot...They were back and forth down our pier while they were attempting to fix the support for the hardtop.. After talking with the manager and calling numerous times as well as going to the office and letting them know that we were extremely disappointed in what should have taken 3 hours to complete ended up taking them almost 3 months to complete. We weren't going to pay for repairing what they did wrong after it was specifically marked. They did not charge us for their mistake. We will never use them again. Tom is not good for that business. He never answers your phone calls,texts, and makes appointments and promises he never keeps. We wanted to give him one more chance by paying him to do a small fiberglass repair on our sailboat. Well every time we would go talk to him he would promise to come do the job. This went on for about 3 months until we finally gave up. We know everyone has different experiences with Shearwater but we wanted to make people aware of the horrible experience we had with them. We are people who always make sure we're prepared for any projects we need done and we do not put unrealistic expectations on people and businesses either. We just expect to have a business communicate regularly with us when we pay for services. We expect a business to make repairs on anything they messed up.We expect honesty. We've always said the best advertisement for a business is word of mouth.If you use Shearwater good luck.

Explained i have heard nothing about my boat. She stated she would talk to Russ. Either she ( Barb) or Russ would get right back with me. About another week or more passes. No word from Offshore. I called them again to try and get the status of my boat. I was told by Barb that the company they order parts from was hacked by hacker using ransomware no telling when i could get parts for my boat. I waited a week or two. Not sure of exact time. I called and left a message on offshores voice mail. Stating i would like to continue doing business with them but if they could get the part by July the 4th i was going to pick up my boat. The following day Russ called my home. He told me in a hostile voice to come and pick up my boat today. I explained the soonest time i could pick it up was Thursday June 29/23. About 5 days later. He again demanded i come and pick up my boat today. I said i couldn't. I live about 90 miles from his shop. I did pick up my boat on Thursday as promised. I was very disatisfied with the personal service received and communication. I will never do business with them again. If i coulld give them less than one star. It would be minus stars.

About two years ago, I decided to relocate my 35 foot Fountain to Florida so I could take advantage of the warmer climate and use it more than just three months of the year. Being over one thousand miles away makes it very difficult for me to do anything on the boat myself. It is extremely important for me to have a marine facility that can maintain, store, and transport the boat for me. Since I have been using them, they have exceeded all my expectations. They have safely transported my boat to variety of different ports including Miami, West Palm Beach, and Key West. The boat has always been delivered on time and ready to go upon my arrival. In addition, OPM is very accommodating. On my recent boating experience from Key West to Miami, the weather took a turn for the worst. The sees became impassable about half way through the trip and thunderstorms encompassed the entire eastern coast of Florida. OPM arranged for a different pickup location upon a moments notice and transported the boat an additional 90 miles back to their facility. I was extremely happy to be out of the rain that day and to know the boat is safely stored at OPM. BG
