My wife and I went to Heritage Cafe for the first time today. It's a great place for lunch and breakfast. We love the clean and fresh new look of the restaurant. But most of all we loved the creative ideas for breakfast and the food was outstanding. I doesn't end there the staff was very friendly and outgoing. My boyfriend and I came here for the first time today after reading about it in Nextdoor. It's now our favorite breakfast spot nearby, and my boyfriend said we should eat here every Saturday morning. This place does everything right. We arrived a little after 10 and only had to wait about 15 minutes. Even though all the tables were full, we didn't feel like it was too crowded or loud. Service was genuine and kind. And the food was SO good. I had the Basic B (breakfast) with eggs, sausage, hashed browns, and French toast with a cherry spread. Everything was cooked perfectly. Reasonable wait time for 5 people getting Sunday brunch. Staff is very friendly, as was the owner/operator. Game was on in the background of the one TV in the corner. Server could've been a little quicker on the draw to refill coffee at the table. Atmosphere is relaxed, clean, and music selection is modern mid tempo with a good sound system (but not loud). Food came out quickly and portions were more than enough for our hungry bellies. Hash browns had an odd flavor to me, but others at the table did not have the same opinion. French toast was a bit underdone in the middle. Variety of meals at the table, and no other comments or complaints. The menu does have a nice mix of standard fare and some more unique items. Stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning and was blown away by the selections and how good the food was. We all pretty much couldn't decide what to order and when we did we sampled off of the plates in our group. Tried this mom & pop local spot for breakfast based upon the reviews. I'm rounding up to a 5 from 4.0 to 4.5 and I'll explain. The restaurant offers the ability to call ahead and be put on the waitlist, which is a HUGE A-plus and recommended. We were able to time our visit - stay warm during a cold winter day - and arrive just in time to be seated. I ordered coffee (B+) a nice medium blend with the classic breakfast - eggs scrambled, bacon, hash brown bites and pancakes. My wife ordered the Blueberry Almond French Toast. They give very large helpings. The service was great and the staff were very nice. Our server (A) recommended the hash brown bites (A+), which are sort of like extra large tater tots, and they were served with a side of Queso. These were next level and worth the trip alone. The eggs and bacon were good (A).The pancakes had a nice sweet, vanilla flavor, but they were a little dry on the inside (B). The Blueberry Almond French toast (B) had a texture like bread pudding, and it had a nice drizzle of lemon curd. It was also a little dry. Perhaps, a little more oil or cream would moisten them both...BUT I took the leftover French toast home and reheated it with vanilla ice cream for dessert that evening - EPIC. Where is the value? I have to be honest I've never eaten here. My daughter took me there for Father's Day. I looked at the menu and the venue and didn't care for either. I really didn't care for or understand their pricing. I find them to be pretty expensive for breakfast food. I don't like ordering a side of bacon and paying the price for what amounts to an entire pack of bacon from king Soopers. That was just one of the menu items. That doesn't make sense to me. Even if I'm not the one paying for the meal, I can't bring myself to eat what I feel to be highly overpriced food. But that's just my opinion. But looking back, the person who recommended we go there did say it was "OK". That should have been my 1st indication not to go. When you recommend a place it's usually because it's great or amazing not because it's, "OK". read more

We loved everything we ordered. Our hostess and server were friendly and competent. The owner is very hands-on and I overheard him address another customer's concerns very well (he thanked them for bringing them up to him and threw in a free appetizer). The food was SUPER good! So, there are a number of great breakfast / lunch places to go while by the south side of 470 loop, but Heritage Café is fantastic! Located right off the highway, tucked in the corner of the small shopping area, HC (as it's called by the staff) is a gem. Service was very helpful, doing all that was needed from beginning to end. The owner, who made his way all throughout the restaurant making sure all patrons were happy and also chatting it up with a laugh, was gracious and very helpful. All but 2-3 items are made in house, which for a lot of us, makes the difference. It all was so very fresh, having a strong sense of home made comfort food, it was so good. My wife had the classic Benny, she loved it. I had Biscuits & Gravy w/ jalapeño gravy, loved it. Our two girls (9 & 7) had pancakes and eggs, loved it. There was so much more we would have loved to tried, the cinnamon roll, breakfast burrito or little bites (ask your server). Wish we were here another day or so to be able to come by here again. Family and I tried Heritage Cafe for the first time. We showed up right at open and was greeted by the host who was warm and friendly. The service throughout the visit was pleasant. I ordered the heritage hash, my wife ordered the Basic B and the kids got the kids breakfast meal. Everything was great and they try and locally source their food. This is the definition of a hidden little gem. The breakfast here is incredible I usually get their breakfast bowl and it is so delicious. Their French toast is so tasty too. Food was barely average. Their hollandaise is claimed to be from scratch, but it lacks flavor. The meals were very pricey as well. The atmosphere and the employees were all very friendly. Heritage Cafe is just a great, hole-in-the-wall, neighborhood breakfast joint! The staff is always so kind and on top of it, and the owner is often perusing the restaurant and engaging with the diners which I think is so sweet. As far as the food, I have not had a bad meal here yet and I've tried quite a few dishes. The biscuits & gravy are delish, the loaded hash browns are a must-try, and shockingly, the chicken & waffles are so good! We ate breakfast at Heritage today, 1/7/24. The Monkey Bread was fantastic. I ordered a breakfast burrito. It was $16.99! It came out with about a teaspoon of green chile and one single egg inside and about a half a piece of bacon. The rest of the burrito was packed with hash browns. So basically I got a $17 potato burrito. It was very bland. My daughter ate off the kids menu and my wife only had a bowl of grits. Our meal was over $60. This place will brag about most everything being made in house but this was honestly the worst breakfast burrito I've eaten. Again, the monkey bread was great but overall this restaurant wasn't worth the inflated prices. read more
