What a fabulous little place just off 85 in Sedalia. It's pretty much in the middle of nowhere and an island oasis outside the sprawling metropolis. We were greeted and served by a wonderfully friendly and outgoing woman named McKenzie. She has a small town charm you rarely see in the city. She brought us drinks, took our orders, chatted us up kept us informed on the timeline of our orders. When the food came out, it was wonderfully prepared, hot, fresh and it was delicious. All the while McKenzie kept our drinks full and put smiles on our faces. The wings and garlic knots were first rate. My veggie calzone was perfect. We even took a jalapeño pizza for later. We ordered a few desserts for the road and tasted them when we got home. All were fantastic. Small town, homemade taste. I really wish this place was closer. It's a true gem and I'd eat there weekly if it was down the street from me. Donna, the owner, is a real class act and clearly cares about her customers and the products she puts forward. A plus plus plus for this little diner.

We had country burrito, biscuit and gravy, quesadilla, and I had the All meat which all was very good. The waitress was very good which I forgot her name but it would not be fair because they was all good. The whole restaurant was very clean and fun to be at.

This is my favorite breakfast spot in the entirety of Denver, a tiny little town called Sedalia just south of Denver. The food is excellent. The vibe is very cozy. The service is always fantastic and the food is priced very well. The portions are also pretty big. Highly recommend stopping by the spot and giving them a try

Stopped in at O'Brien's Cafe and had an incredible experience. The host/server was absolutely awesome -- friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home. I ordered the meat skillet and it was spectacular -- perfectly cooked, hearty, and full of flavor. If you ever find yourself passing through or heading out on an adventure nearby, do yourself a favor and stop at this gem of a place. You won't regret it! Old school cafe vibes, the type that has a table of old timers drinking coffee and talking about news. They don't make them like this anymore, and thats a shame.

Classic American cafe with amazing food and an even better staff. O'Brien's club was piled high with fresh ingredients and the pancakes were up there with the best of them. If you're seeking out a spot for some great breakfast/lunch with a hometown atmosphere this is it. Huge miss on our part not trying the pies. Looked amazing. Will be back.

Came here for weekend brunch on a Sunday. The place is very small and certainly has kept its old town feel with the interior decor. It was busy and we just sat down at an open table that was kind of tucked away on the back right side of the cafe and were greeted by a waitress with menus pretty quickly. The menu has both breakfast or lunch options with very traditional cafe/diner food items. I went with the Spinach Roadkill with a side of hash browns-- sandwich was tasty, hash browns were a little bland (the house hot sauces that were in the table was a nice way to add flavor) . Atmosphere was a little congested but, many of the guests seemed to be regulars to the area and welcoming/talkative.

Seated in a booth. Promptly approached by server Harumy, quickly provided with a hot carafe of coffee and condiments. The ambiance is clean, cheerful, and inviting. There is music but it isn't too loud. I ordered the mini-monkey bread (pictured), essentially a biscuit dappled with cinnamon sugar streusel. I didn't love it; I thought it tasted too salty. Still, I finished it so it couldn't have been that bad! I ordered the Breakfast Quesadilla (eggs, chiles, cheese, onions, drizzled with avocado cream and served with red salsa), which was very good. Harumy checked on me, and brought the check promptly. You pay at the counter, not directly to the server. I would have given 4.5 stars but Yelp doesn't enable this, so I rounded up to 5 stars. Definitely give Bluebird Cafe a try!

I had to ask the hostess to ask our waitress to bring our drinks because we never saw our waitress again after placing our order. She brought the waters and 1 minute later our food arrived lukewarm. The potatoes were not cooked. We were never checked on again. Then the check came, but the extra bacon I ordered "to go" had not arrived. So she went to get that. We paid at the front with the hostess. It was an extra $5 for 2 pieces of bacon. $2.50 per slice. Is that inflation or price gouging? This is the first time in my life I have never left a tip. I'm usually a really good tipper. And I feel bad about it, but I also want to be taken care of in order to give a tip for good service. This was not good service and the food was mediocre. Would not return.

The only thing I didn't like as much was the hashbrowns, they were just okay. I also ordered the jalapeño bread French toast (recommended by our server). I love jalapeño flavor, but I remember thinking it sounded kind of weird for French toast... but I'm glad I tried it because it was so good. They make their breads in-house and I would definitely get that again. I also tried some of my friend's banana bread and that was really delicious too. Didn't get a chance to try these since we had to get to the hot springs soon so thought it's too much food to finish in time, but they had a French toast flight and a Benedict flight, which I've never seen before. Pretty cool, I love anything where you can try multiple flavors. Overall, would reccomend this brunch spot in Idaho Springs. Would come back!

She was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I ordered the Reuben (currently $18.50) with a cup of their green chili soup ($6.00). The Reuben was outstanding--perfectly grilled with a crispy rye, flavorful corned beef, and just the right balance of Swiss, sauerkraut, and dressing. The green chili soup was rich, comforting, and packed with great Colorado flavor. My wife built her own burger and upgraded to the house salad instead of fries. Everything was fresh, cooked exactly as ordered, and delicious. This has become one of our must-stop restaurants whenever we're headed to Vail. Great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere every time. Highly recommended--we'll definitely be back!

First of all, Mindy was my bartender and gave me flawless service, along with a great smile and background stories of the place and the patrons. She made my visit so much better. There wasn't any background music during my visit, but one could listen to Billy's (regular/legend in town) stories all day long. He chatted with a bunch of people who just came up to his table, and talked with Nancy at the bar in between. Small town charm at its best. Lots of topping sauces, but you didn't really need it for the burger. Great as it was, and I ordered the double. Option for pickles and onions that come on the side. They had Voodoo Ranger in the bottle for me also. I got the whole lowdown of the four owners of the place over 78 years (the present one even stopped by), and, if I wasn't told by Mindy, there is history ALL over the walls. Cool bar setup, with a good-sized dining room. The place was like a merging of a diner and a small town bar, and was absolutely perfect. Don't forget. No French fries offered, and cash only! The next time I head to Colorado Springs, I might have to change my way down or back up to get this thing again, and experience the place again.
