Hubby and I decided to go on a spontaneous date here after running errands. We sat outside since it was perfect weather and the fire pits kept us warm as the night got cooler. We had two wonderful waitresses since one was shadowing. Heather and Amber were absolutely amazing and treated us like old friends. This Lazy Dog is a bit smaller than the Highlands Ranch establishment. The food is very good. Love their $15 dinners that include desert are very good. I had the fried chicken dinner. Not eating pork I figured I could scrape off the bacon from the spinach side. No way. For you bacon lovers this side is filled with bacon. Way over the top. Hubby had the BBQ Ranch Burger and said it was very good. He subbed truffle fries and they were also good. My beef was the house vodka soda and lime. No vodka could be tasted. I realize it's a happy hour beverage but I don't want to pay even 5 bucks for soda water with lime. The Chardonnay was much better. Hubby had the NA IPA and reported it was pretty good. We finally got to the Lazy Dog with our dog. We had drinks and appetizers. They make a mean Bloody Mary and have an excellent beer selection. We ordered fries and lettuce wraps. Both were tasty. Dogs are allowed in the patio area. The floor is freezing so bring your dog a blanket. They provide water and they have a doggy meal bowl. While I've visited numerous times, it was my aunt's first and knowing that, our waiter Ryan ordered up a complimentary appetizer. Truly a fine gesture! My fave's are the Chicken Walnut Sammy and of course, the Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup combo. I always order the regular portion because it is that good, especially their Tomato Soup. We were there on 6/17 and it started rough.... Waited about 15 minutes in the bar seating area and no one helped me. Had to find a manager to get some service. Turns out the servers all thought the other ones had helped me. Brittany the manager made it up and bought us a round of drinks, THANK YOU!!! Food is great. Service was fantastic. They disregarded my reservation which said we would sit anywhere EXCEPT patio and they told us the only place we could sit with the patio. It was cold out there, even though they had fire tower. There was a good birthday party going on and it was so noisy because the patio area was closed off with heavy plastic. It was the most disappointing visit we've had. The good thing was we were able to take advantage of the happy hour special because we were on the patio, but the fact that we were sitting there so cold for the whole time we were eating did not make it fun and our food got cold so quickly. They make good old fashion cocktails and the service is prompt and friendly. Matthew was our waiter and was very attentive. The food was ok, but nothing amazing. Pricing is fair. So glad we stopped by!! My family and I were looking for a pet friendly restaurant during our Holiday stay in Colorado, Springs, but wanted more than just pizza and burgers. We stumbled across this restaurant and they did not disappoint. With Mountain View's and ample parking, we were excited to check it out. We visited on a Tuesday afternoon, and while they were busy, we were greeted and seated in less than 10 minutes. Once we were seated, our server came shortly afterwards and took our drink orders. It took a little longer than anticipated to receive them, but we understood it was busy. As our drinks came out the manager followed right behind them offering an apology and complimentary apps on the house. We were shocked and delighted that he'd noticed. The remaining of our visit was nothing shy of spectacular. The food options were great, service was even better and they even offered a pet friendly menu that went beyond just a burger or chicken patty. The food was hot, fresh and made to order. We ordered everything from Wagu Meatloaf, Fried Chicken, to shrimp tacos and everything was delicous. The cocktails did not disappoint either. This is our go to place for dinner recently. Lazy Dog is a great place to come if you want a sit-down restaurant that has a menu ready for anyone. I personally haven't tried anything yet here that I do not like. Some of my favorites are the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice appetizer, Hot Honey Chicken Waffle Salad, and the Apple-Huckleberry Open Face Pie for dessert. I do think that the Chili Crunch Ahi Tuna bowl could be a bigger portion size especially for the price. My husband ordered a steak medium rare, and it got it medium well so that was disappointing. The interior of this restaurant is nice and more upscale than its competitors. I really love their covered outdoor patio area. It is even ready for the colder months with a firepit and blankets. Servers vary some are great, others are mediocre. They've got a great happy hour and loyalty program. Their happy hour covers not just alcoholic drinks, but nonalcoholic too and food! Make sure you ask for that menu if you come during the happy hour time frame, they usually do not by default bring that menu to your table. In my opinion their drinks here are excellent! I love that they even do the special sodas with purees and creams mixed into them like Swig in Utah. One of my favorite drinks to order here is the Cucumber mint martini, so refreshing! The loyalty program is $5 a month and gets you an appetizer or dessert covered with that price. read more

Not sure why I've never tried Lazy Dog before. I've seen them around but finally thought why Not? Went right around 4pm was HH but they didn't tell us just bar and patio, oh well! We were seated and told them our first time trying. A few minutes later the manager came brought us some homemade chips and a ticket for free app or dessert on next visit. We started with the wings which is why I chose them. They were really good - hot and crispy with bbq or wing sauce on side. Also got a mojito and Paloma - the Paloma was weak but the mojito was great. The waitress graciously swapped out Paloma for a wine since we didn't love. Got the Ahi bowl and it was good I wish the rice was more of a sushi sticky rice since Asian dish would have went better. They have a ton of options and kind of eclectic menu. My only gripe is some small touches missing like when we got app we got no small plates to eat off of and we told waitress we were sharing Ahi Bowl and they just left the one bowl no side plate. They were quick to provide but idk it just seems small plates to hand in hand with apps? All in all I would be back. We went here for our 42 wedding anniversary, first time there and probably the last. The server took a little while to bring drinks, gave us menus and told us to stand up the drink menu when we were ready to order, which we did. He came by and laid the menu down but didn't take the order. Other people who came in after us were being served and we just sat and waited, and waited, even thinking maybe we should just leave. Finally he came over and I commented that I thought he had forgotten us to which his response was very rude and hostile! When our food finally came, after another long wait, it was quite good. Then we waited for our dessert and again waited and waited...how can it take so long for a brownie and ice cream? I commented to my husband that maybe they should take the price of the bill and we could leave to which the server, who must have very good hearing but we were sitting near his station, responded that the dessert is free. I beg to differ, built into the price of the special maybe, but I didn't says word about that. It's usually always the same result...you order and the person in charge of your table seems to disappear so it's difficult to place additional orders. The food is fine..the service is okay. Not a fan of the happy hour menus that have their own exclusions. If you're running a late night menu...than have 2 different menus instead of some tiny writing. read more

I have to admit I am not a chain restaurant person, however, when you leave puppy training, starving and wanted to meet a friend in that area, it was a great place to stop in with our well trained leashed dog. The service was amazing and the patio scene was doggie-palooza! I was impressed to see people with well trained and calm dogs there. The food is slightly elevated bar food, not my choice but serves a purpose when you're as hungry as we all were. Their (mixed) cocktails seemed a bit weak, next time will ask for a sidecar. I also iked that they have a 'dog' menu with printed rules so there's an expectation of being respectful while bringing your pooch. Sometimes people need reminding of the most basic of common sense that's not so common it seems anymore for many. I will again visit a Lazy Dog next time in an area with my dog that has one! read more

Lazy Dog -- I've been coming here since you opened at this location. During Covid, you got creative with your to-go meals (and even threw in a roll of TP with each order). That kind of effort kept you going when everything else was shut down, and it was appreciated. But tonight? Completely different story. For as slow as it was, Jonathan still took his time getting to us. The food was nothing to brag about -- prices are up, but portion sizes are down. Your new "home bread"? A disgrace. $6 for what feels like bread scraps with a sprinkle of garlic and cheese. My wife's Cobb salad with salmon looked like it came from the end of the lettuces shelf life -- wilted greens and all. My tortilla soup with avocado-cold, and side salad arrived after a 30+ minute wait, and the salad was served in what looked like a bedpan. Found hair in my sandwich box and the banana pudding was so spoiled. For $26 you would think the quality would be better.
