Went up to the bar and was greeted with an introduction I am Tesa and welcome to Parkway Bar and Grill, what can I get you? She explained as she handed me two Menu's one was the Special menu and the other one was the choices for the normal menu. She informed me of the Soup of the day, made from scratch daily and recommended a few items. I chose the Spaghetti with Cilli and Jumbo dogs. Great food, service, and music makes for a awesome restaurant. We've been here before and always enjoyed it. Lots of food for your order without sacrificing taste. Chimichanga was really good with a slight kick of heat. My son devoured the ribs. I barely had time to snap a pic. The waitress was nice and running around. Very busy here. I came to Parkway Bar and Grill for their Clam Chowder, which is excellent I usually enjoy coming here, as the food and service is great, I also ordered the Tuna melt sandwich with fries, and requested No Bacon, when the sandwich came, there was bacon on it so I had to notify the waitress that I didn't want bacon on The sandwich Unfortunately, the Tuna had no flavor, was only on Toasted Bread, I don't consider that a Tuna Melt" the cheese, wasn't even melted. For me, the best aspect of Parkway is their rotating Specials Menu that augments their [quite large] Regular Menu; there's always variety available. So, I, Tyler Striplin Sullivan, have been coming to this bar for over six years. I decided to play poker on Tuesday evening. April 14, 2026, and Tessa the bartender kicked me out with her friends and some dude who was trying to act tough who I've never seen before as I left peacefully for no reason asking me if I remembered telling her she was the worst bartender ever after the third or fourth terrible encounter with her, not sitting at the bar, telling me I could never come back. Found this place on accident and decided to try it because they had so many good options on their menu. In addition to the regular menu they had a whole list of specials. We ordered the potato crusted walleye fish with lump crab white sauce & champagne shrimp and chicken. Both were served with huge orders of mashed potatoes and asparagus. The fish and shrimp were great! The chicken was good but not fabulous. Servings of asparagus were substantial but unfortunately half the stalk was too tough to eat. Our timing for dinner happened to be during their happy hour (which goes to 7). Drinks are discounted a little for HH. Our usje spot for Friday is getting popular in the early evenings. The staff is fantastic and treat us just like family. The hostess knows our fave table, the waitresses already have our drinks on order. Our go-to is the fried chicken dinner and it does not disappoint. It is a dinner large enough to split (I take half home to my doggie who approves of all their meals). Today we did substitute the mixed veggies for grilled corn on the cob and this was definitely a better option. Was by myself so decided to sit at the bar on a Monday night. Tessa asked if I wanted a drink. Lots of draft beer to choose from. Ordered an IPA and looked at the menu. Wanted to try something there that I hadn't eaten. She recommended the fried chicken. Huge boneless breast with gravy, mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. We're always in that same shooting center for my kids soccer training and thought we check it out. As we walked in, we were seated right away. I was amazed on how large this establishment is. I got the vibes that alot of their customers are frequent. It reminds me of the show cheers where everyone knows everyone. It's family friendly. We ordered the caprese salad and wings and a kids pizza meal. Everything came out on a timely manner. The caprese salad was decently sized and definitely shareable. The general vibe of the place was great. People laughed, and enjoyed their drinks, and it seems like what makes this place are the CUSTOMERS. I was served by three different girls, I don't know if it was due to all wanting to do something, not being bothered to work, or what the reason was, but it was very difficult to start my eating experience with trying to narrow down which I needed to talk to about food and drinks. I got the ribeye. For the price I was given I would expect a nicer piece of ribeye, but instead I was met with a kind of sad, thin, soggy piece of ribeye, no seasoning, not even cooked to how I asked (I wanted medium, I was given well done) and the mashed potatoes that came with my meal, that I could not modify or change or replace. As each meal has set sides, we're runny, and tasted bland like the cook didn't care to season his food with anything other than water and butter. The vegetables were great though and were the high light of the meal. They were well seasoned and I quite enjoyed the variety of cucumber, cauliflower, broccoli, and like 3 shavings of carrots? But the biggest problem is that I was woken up during the night, sick, throwing up, and other unmentionables, and I am sadly 100% sure it was this bar, and grill because it was the only thing I ate that day! But the drinks were nice and reasonably priced for how much drink you got for your buck. Tasted good, but I didn't appreciate how insistent my server was with pushing drinks on me after I finished my initial drink. We came to Parkway Bar and Grill for dinner after my nephews ninja class in the evening. It was packed and there was a 30 minute wait however the service was good and we got served fairly quickly. They can text you when your table is ready. The ambiance was what you would expect of an American bar and grill with fun posters on the wall and loud customers. Normal bar and grill expectations. This place is very expensive with the items being $15-$20. Also this place has good food but it comes with barely any food! The drink I got was strawberry lemonade. WHAT A JOKE...we frequent The Parkway often. OR USED to... Do not try to use a coupon in this place! We spent over $400 in the last 3 visits in the last 3 days and it is impossible to use a $15 coupon. First of all you cant use a coupon on the weekend...ok I get it, I guess. Then we go back to use the $15 coupon on a Monday evening. NOPE we have a bill that is over $150 and we can not use the coupon because we bought Happy Hour drinks! Are you serious...I know that you are always busy and you do not need my business. Fine, I will not ever go back to The Parkway...we also had friends with us...they wont be going back either. Can I give 10 stars? I love this great neighborhood place. Staff is consistent and fun, food is plentiful and awesome. I have lived in the area for over 19 years. They are a fun family owned place that has expanded 2X. Burgers are great, I love their generous helping of fish and chips - I elect the crunchy tater tots. Hubby loves both chicken pasta dishes. A longtime favorite. As a former bar and grill owner I tend to review food establishments differently. The menu is very large. I've been sticking to my faves the reuben, burger and clubhouse sand., w/tater tots and their house made ranch - all are excellent but my wife has tried many different things and all were very good but recently the champagne chicken was exceptional, really. The place is usually busy but be because it has a large seating capacity there's rarely a wait. It's a sports bar vibe with high table and bar seating with dining room searing as well. Noise level can range from quiet to boisterous during a game. Haven't been there to drink so I can't comment on the bar service only food and dining. Service has never been poor the wait staff, even when busy stays on top it. Don't usually give 5-stars but can't think of any justifiable reason not to within the context of my experience. read more
