Tried to go someplace new and support a new place. We ordered a big to go food order from here and it was beyond terrible. We ordered the corned beef hash and chorizo breakfast burrito which we pulled chunks of fat from both (see pictures below) Both were completely inedible. Don't be fooled by the great pictures on their website. The food looked and tasted nothing like that. Called and spoke to John who said they were really busy that day and short staffed but that doesn't excuse the quality of food they're sending out the door. Unfortunately will not be going back here. If you want a good breakfast spot go to parkway next door. They have delicious breakfast & great portions. read more

Stopped by with the wife for breakfast on a Friday and we were immediately seated. The owner came out and talked to us about the menu and specials and I ended up getting smoked brisket Benedict while my wife chose the basic B breakfast. The food was excellent with big portions! They make a lot from scratch and the campotes and syrups are really good. I tried the jalapeño gravy on the had browns and it was also excellent. Will definitely be back. read more

First off, the service is an A+. We were on a waiting list and they forgot to text us. They immediately apologized and threw in a free cinnamon roll. The waitress was super friendly and gave recommendations and took the time to explain the menu. The food was really good too. I had the corn beef hash which was really tasty. The reason for the 1 star is they have some nerve charging 12.95 for a single waffle. I found out about Heritage Cafe a while back on Nextdoor. We finally got around to trying this place out and were extremely happy with our meal! I have a hard time finding a tasty chai, and their Cinnamon Toast Crunch chai latte was delicious. The food looks like standard breakfast food, but it was fantastic. I first wrote a review about my visual perception of the venue from visiting and looking at the menu but NOT eating there. John the owner didn't like it (understandable) so he invited me to be a man and talk face to face. Where I come from, that invitation involves very little talking and a lot of physical exertion. So, I showed up! I looked him in the eye and said I wrote the review. Blah, blah, blah, we talked. I found John to be pleasant as he explained a lot about his business and what made him invite me to talk. At the end of the day, John seems like a nice guy and is passionate about his business, and rightfully so. Therefore, I said I will visit again and eat next time. Well, I did. I did not like the taste of the grits nor the fact they were room temperature. I was VERY disappointed that the waitress didn't say anything about the noticeably uneaten grits when she brought my check. The bacon was also cold and tough like jerky. However, the breakfast burrito was nice and big and filled with deliciousness! In my opinion. And it was the perfect temperature! The facility is very clean, and the workers seemed very nice. While I wouldn't recommend this place, I wouldn't discourage anyone from going either. It can get very busy around 9 and 10 so they must be doing something right! I think the temperature issues I had with my food may have had something to do with the timing of my visit. It was close to closing time. There were other items on the menu that looked to be delicious like Stuffed French Toast. That just sounds amazing! But inflation coupled with being too lazy to cook my own breakfast came at a cost. Breakfast and brunch are my favorite meals of all and I finally had time to check this place out! Heritage is a welcoming breakfast/lunch joint that has a lot of seating inside, gracious hosts and delicious options. There is something for everyone on the menu, from sweet to savory to make-your-own bowls (next time I'm making a bowl with grits!) I had the biscuits and gravy with the jalapeño gravy and my husband had the eggs Benedict with smoke brisket. With side of hash browns for both and a side of eggs with the B&G, this was enough to serve as my one meal of the day. The coffee was a perfect blend and everything was served with the hospitality you like in a neighborhood eatery. I can't wait to go back...maybe a bowl...maybe French toast? The chicken and waffles looked good too...ok...I'm going to have to go back quite a few times. Also, this place is right by Grease Monkey. Get your oil changed while you eat! read more

Good food, owner is rude. The cook made a mistake and served our food to another table. The owner sat down with that table and apologized. He flat out ignored us and I am pretty sure I was served the same plate he took to the other table in error. I am food safe certified, that is a direct health code violation.
