Robert was introduced to me by a employee of mine as he was in need of tax help as he owes the IRS and has not filed his taxes in years. When he came to us he did not know where to start as he did not have a system in place for bookkeeping. We set him up with Quickbooks an online software and offered to do his bookkeeping. Robert did not want to pay for a bookkeeper so we offered remotely. He agreed in order for us to get his books in order to get him straight with the IRS. We had to go in and download transactions for the previous year and billed accordingly. He reluctantly did this only a minimum.Then the next year rolled over which was 2020 He was in financial hardships we offered to assist him with the PPP loan due to COVID. Without charging him we applied and he was denied due to his history. He wanted us to do his tax returns in order to get funding for trucks, since he did not pay for the remainder of the "minimum bookeeping" we did which was his bank account and a credit card we asked for the money for the taxes. He did not want to do this and we said we would not do the work until paid. The office girl did not like our stance and we had a 1 1/2 conversation with Robert explaining why we do not do work with out pay. He understood he said, phone call recorded. Now we have referred Robert to a couple of individuals who said Robert told them he knows how to "make it look like wind, hail damage on a roof called staging" they were highly upset and said they would not use him. Robert also asked us if we would like him to "stage" our house and replace our roof for free! We said no! Now we are getting these attacks on social media. POOR business and we have all proof in recordings and written all work paid by Robert has been surrendered to him. First things first Robert Kosack owes our firm for work we have done and he did not pay for. Robert came to us owing over 5 yrs back taxes and his bookkeeping was to no avail. We discussed several options with Robert including putting his bookkeeping in Quickbooks which would better assist him in gathering his data and billing his customers. He agreed we have spent hours with witnesses trying to train Robert on his phone to work with Quickbooks however he never wanted to proceed with other than "just put my banking and the credit card in Quickbooks" We offered to put his client data in Quickbooks to help him with a database, no. We offered to do weekly bookkeeping, no he did not want to do this! Robert is a roofing contractor who makes money off of "staging roofs" to make it look like hail, wind or storm damage when there is none. He offered to look at my house we did not want to proceed, we referred him to a couple of other businesses and they stated the same he is an insurance fraud! If you don't stop I will go to the state board of insurance with this. We did offer to apply for his PPP and he did not get approved due to his criminal back ground. So he wanted to use a partner that person also did not get approved. HMMMMM???? We charged Robert a small amount to allocate his expenses in Quickbooks as that is all he wanted to do! Please do not make me put this all over your sites. He wanted us to do his taxes and not pay for them business just does not work that way! He was told once he paid for the work we would release the tax returns. We have the proof we need to proceed forward with legal actions if this proceeds. read more
