Our supposedly "luxury suite" was directly beneath a bar packed with loud, obnoxious drunks whose shouting, stomping, and relentless noise shattered any illusion of a relaxing weekend. My wife's birthday getaway was effectively ruined by the hotel's careless disregard for guest comfort. When we pleaded with management for help, their tone-deaf solution was an insultingly miserable basement dungeon--windowless, cramped, and reminiscent of a cheap horror film set. Their customer service was indifferent at best, bordering on hostile at worst. The blatant false advertising, nonexistent hospitality, and shameless refusal to address legitimate grievances left us stunned and disgusted. I wouldn't stay here again if it were the last hotel on Earth. Save your sanity--and your money--and stay literally anywhere else.

She had to leave and we were turned over to a very inexperienced Venue Director that worked another full time job and used that as an excuse constantly. She seemed uninterested in our event and made promises that she later had no memory of. Thank goodness for emails and text messages that I could use to refresh her memory. The venue was suppose to provide security but they did not rope off or keep an eye on the stairs to the rooms where valuables were being stored by the myself, the bride and wedding party, etc. My husband also witnessed the security guy and venue director watching football away from that area. Prior to our event it took days for her to respond to emails, texts, and phone calls. I was supposed to receive my $1000 security deposit 10 days after the event. About 14 days after the event I began asking about the deposit. No response. Finally, I got an email stating that a toilet seat had been broken during my event and a whopping cost of over $400 to replace. I was never asked to do a walk through before the event so I don't know when the toilet got broken. I am going to file a police report for the theft of the ring. You also have to rent tents, linens, place settings, etc. They don't have a caterer. You have to at least have a day of coordinator which was the best money that I spent. Bring your own command strips if you want to hang wreaths on the front doors. Bring your own lighters for your candles because they are not going to tell you that. Your candles have to be contained and you have to use their approved vendors and there was only one for alcohol. If you are going to drop 50 grand on a day, do it in another location. 5 stars for the grounds but 0 for the management.

We all slept great in VERY comfortable beds and enjoyed meeting Judy, the owner, who made us an AWESOME breakfast of bacon, cooked-to-order eggs and a Victorian waffle bar (delicious heart-shaped waffles, pecans, strawberries, whipped cream and sugar, all in authentic Victorian servingware), plus my son was served his milk in a lidded Minions cup! Homemade cookies and other snacks are available in the guest kitchen (peanuts, raisins, popcorn, apples), as well as cold drinks in the common-use fridge, not far from the pool table. We were allowed to bring our bikes that we took to Callaway Gardens today inside overnight. We forgot one of my son's toys and Judy called to tell us, and offered us Cokes when we swung back by to get it. She is an incredibly attentive hostess, who even wears Victorian era dress. There is no downside to choosing to be her guest!
