I wanted to put in a review for these guys, since I have seen some negative ones posted on here. I went in about two weeks ago, not sure I wanted to buy a new vehicle. I met Danylo, who was an amazing help. Very knowledgeable about cars and not pushy. Excellent customer service as far as I am concerned. Of course there was some haggling, but I reached a deal I thought was fair. Victor the sales manager was also great. I did end up signing for the service contract and reached a fair deal on that as well. I really enjoyed my experience and I am someone who typically stays away from buying cars and dealerships. Also, had a small prob that was overlooked during the purchase and Keller got me in the next day immediately and filled my tank up for the inconvenience. We shall see how the experience continues and if problems come up during servicing, but so far a great place to me. If you are going there, definitely ask for Danylo. I bought a car in this hole. They forced me to sign a service contract. According to the law, I wrote a letter to terminate the service contract. So after 6 month i did not get my monety back. They tell me only promises. The staff is only trained to deceive customers. read more

They have lost their customer service minds. I went in. They did not have my appointment. I actually said "There is my car, here I am, can I get my car serviced? " This led to questions like who did I talk to? And when did I call? In otherworldly, They ignored me issue in order to play 'pin he blame on the customer' instead of actually helping the customer. Got a phone call on 8/4 saying come in and get your plates. This is nuts! I had to go to DMV to get my plates transferred and my car registered. In addition, I had to get a duplicate title from DMV because the dealership never sent the original. Moreover, it is impossible to get a warm body to answer the phone when I call. After a bad experience with another local Mazda Dealership's Service Department, I decided to give Heritage a shot. They were able to quickly diagnose the problem (faulty key fob antenna) and replace it for a very fair price. Later on they also replaced a small part on my door that was rattling free of charge and I most recently used them for scheduled maintenance (oil change, tire rotation, etc.). Each time their pricing has been fair and and they haven't tried to upsell me on unneeded service. They also have a great waiting area set up, which has allowed me to work remotely while my car was being serviced. Matt, Ellerie, and most recently Dean were all top notch and great to work with and I plan on going back to Heritage for my next scheduled maintenance. read more

When I posted my original review I was in the middle of dealing with this issue with my CX-5 I was quoted 5k in repairs and wanted to use my extended warranty to cover the cost. After all the issues I posted about I went to ourisman Mazda in laurel who actually re-diagnosed the car and found that half of what heritage was not needed and wouldn't fix the issue of the valve cover gasket that needed repair. They worked with my 3rd party warranty who they actually told me was one of the easiest they ever dealt with. The service adviser actually commented on how surprised he was to call and get on the phone within a minute and have all the approvals he needed. They gave me a loaner vehicle at no cost and actually completed the repair in 48 hours. I'm leaving a follow up review because Ellen commenting asking me to call the dealership manager I spoke with in person at the time to further assist and understand the situation is pointless. Additionally the manager mentioned had all my contact information and could have reached out to me to rectify the situation. Customer service is about taking care of your customers not ripping them off. It's about being friendly and understanding and doing what's right for the business but also the customer. I suspect that they didn't want to work with my warranty company because they knew the repairs they wanted to do were not needed and that if they had to deal with a warranty company they don't sell in the dealership would want proof they couldn't provide. Be careful purchasing warranty's from dealerships they purchase these agreements for Pennie's on the dollar and Markup hundreds and thousands of dollars at point of sale that's actually how dealerships make large amount of the profit. On the backend they perform repairs under these warranties and often split the cost or mark down the necessary repairs for the warranty company as a kick back something I highly suspect is going on with Mile-one here. I've read many post here about missing parts after service and I wanted to add on that the cover on the wind screen under the car for the oil changes was misplaced during one of my many oil changes here and the dealership never would take ownership and replace I didn't worry about it to much because it's not a high priority or necessary part but it just again points to lack of customer service. Additionally is Ellen who I am assuming is the login account for responding to post on yelp is going to comment with generic call the manager post maybe they should do a better job by reaching out themselfs to managers at the location and getting them off their phones, off their desk and get them to take care of customers in a genuine way not a corporate automatic response to try and make themselfs look like they actually care. I looked through the over 100 reviews here before posting this and noticed a pattern of generic response with no actual resolution or customer service to try and save face. I have told dozens of people looking to buy a Mazda to run away from Heritage. I personally know of about 10 people who have purchased a CX-5 after my recommendation who have all drove the extra 30 minutes to laurel after I described all the problems I had. And I will continue to drive people away from heritage. Stay away you'll love the Mazda brand great cars but hate the heritage mile one auto group if you decide to go with them. read more

Had a car service appointment here recently. This is the first time we ever own a Mazda. Yes we purchased the vehicle at this dealership as well. Here is the review from both our purchase experience and service experience. Purchase: friendly, efficient, not very good at follow-ups. On the day, when we purchased the vehicle. Another car in the parking lot slightly Ryan to our car, before we completed all the paperwork. The damage was noticeable, but not too bad. The manager at that time told us, they have to order the parts, and when the parts came in, they will let us come in to replace it for free. But no one ever called us to follow up, even after we checked in with them twice. Service department: I had a Raymond as the person who took care of my vehicle's paperwork. He was very professional and thorough. The waiting area was fairly empty. They have free coffee, tea, and some snacks . BUT, that area DO Need a good cleanIng. The drink holders that they have for the sofas were nasty, so are the sofas, they need a good wipe down. Definitely hope to see some improvement during my next visit. read more

Pretty easy drop off process for services. They offer refreshments while you wait. Our appointment was for 10am at 2pm we hadn't received a call and was told it was gonna take 2 hours .... Now before starting this review, I want to say I would have given this dealership a 4 star but I was on a time crunch and waiting for almost an hour plus to sit with a finance manager. Now when I called and spoke to them over the phone they did great and beat my previous deal at my local dealership. This was a definite plus as this isn't my first purcahse and they played no games with me. Now im not the type to type out a long explanation so ill keep it short and simple the pros and cons of this location that affected my review. Pros My sales person Xavier was aboslutely fantastic and a great sales person with a good head on his shoulders. He deserves his position and i can see him going far. Beat my local deal and didnt let the deal slide over a few hundred dollars. Location was great and well maintained Our finalizing finance manager made sure he got us out quick and fast. Cons The one finance manger I spoke with over the phone (female wont provide names bec im not like that) had a terrible attitude and didnt come off welcoming but instead a major ego attitude. I instantly didnt want to deal with her over the phone and glad i didnt. After finalizing everything with the sales person we sat waiting forever to get to one. I end up seeing this manager im pretty sure is the one I spoke with just stood there laughing with her coworkers and in no way made a attempt to assist us on getting out when she was availble to do so. She even looked over at me and my family with a lack of better words "Stank face" defintily confirming my opinion of her (Only my opinion as I didnt speak to her in person and didnt want to either). I asked if the filters and oils were changed and the oil was serviced but the cabin filter was covered in a black substance and reeked after the hidden oil diffusers placed in the car wore off. AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP!!!! Everyone was nice and polite until they get your money. We made an appointment with the Sales Manager as we were traveling from PA. He said that the paperwork would be ready to go when we arrived, but it took 5-1/2 hours for the sale to be completed. Endless time waiting and waiting for the Finance Mgr. grew tiring. We've owned the car 1-1/2 months and still do not have the registration or plate. They did not explain how the process would work for us to get a plate. It took our bank 2 weeks to get someone on the phone to try to resolve the situation because they would not pick up the phone. The car was supposed to come with a copy of the CarFax and we also requested a specific list of repairs made to the car but our emails and texts went unanswered. The oil was fresh however it was 2 quarts low. They also used after market brakes which are very noisy. read more

The vehicle had ALL the features we wanted. My wife wanted to see the hatch area to complete our deal on the purchase. As we exited the passenger compartment, both closing the doors behind us and reached the rear. Someone in the showroom locked the doors. (Clunk) Woooow. I brought my car here for maintenance on what I assumed were major issues (engine rattling and shut off while idling, traction control always on and clunky response while driving). I was immediately charged $325 for diagnostics alone, which I thought was ridiculous but agreed anyway because I was already here and wanted the problems diagnosed accurately and addressed quickly. Unfortunately, I got neither of those things here! I met with an employee after the diagnostics test and was first asked how long I'd planned to keep the car (which is only at 125K miles) before I was quoted with nearly $10K in repairs. I then asked to only address the immediate issues that are preventing the car from being driveable and was still recommended a $5K clutch replacement and $500 mass air flow sensor replacement. In my "free" maintenance tech video inspection, I was falsely told that the clutch pedal was stiff and indicated a failing clutch system, which was assessed as the cause of my traction control and driving stability issues. I declined any further service and opted for a battery replacement at the local Autozone (~200), which solved the problem of the car dying while stopped. I also picked up an aftermarket mass air flow sensor from Amazon for $20 and replaced it myself with a screwdriver in 30 seconds. Why was I being charged $500 for this same service by the dealership? My car has been fine after spending $220 on a battery and plastic piece, which is over $100 less than the cost of the diagnostic test alone from this dealer. My experience at Heritage Mazda in Catonsville was very clearly an attempt to either scam me out of $1000's for unnecessary maintenance or trick me into buying a new car off their lot. Unfortunately, this dealership has been a complete disaster. I bought a car from them a week ago on Friday and it broke immediately and we were stranded. After towing the car back to the dealership, I was promised it would be fixed on Monday. Nobody called. After I called them myself on Tuesday they acted surprised that I called and claimed that the car was being looked at and just needed a software update. I found that hard to believe as a lack of software update doesn't disable the car in the middle of the road but they told me they know what they are doing and implied I do not. The next day they claimed they needed another couple of days to fix it but it's not a big deal, then a few days later they told me they needed another week. So basically after cashing my very large check, they gave me a dangerous car pre-broken from the factory and are expecting to keep it for weeks or months on end without any explanation or even an estimate. Meanwhile, GM is hiding out and not returning calls. Nobody seems to be in charge and everything is always someone else's fault, there's very little to no accountability, multiple people I talked to were interrupting me and arguing with me on facts, saying how it's not true it has been 5 days, it has only been 1 day because Friday doesn't count as it was late (they were still open for 3 hours after I arrived), they don't work on weekends like other dealers do or can't deal with 3 inches of snow plus lots of other excuses, trying to gaslight me as if I imagined everything. I just wanted a straight answer, doesn't matter if it has been 1 or 5 days, but you cannot get one from this dealer, you will only get excuses, lies and will get ignored or gaslighted. I have never felt more disrespected when trying to buy a car! I called last night and set up an 11 am appointment, asked to see three cars and provided their stock numbers, and was told that the cars would be ready when I arrived to look at them. Instead, I waited 10 minutes simply to get shown to the customer lounge, then an additional 45 minutes to even see ONE of the vehicles. The vehicle in question? Scratched to hell, rusting in places, and dented on one side. NONE of the scratches were visible on the online pictures, but they were clear as day when we finally saw the car 55 minutes after our appointment time. The only reason we even saw the car was my mother-in-law complaining to the manager that they were wasting our time. Worst car buying experience EVER! I bought a 2021 Mazda CX-30 with 41k miles on June 18th 2024, I even paid for the service and warranty options. By June 20th 2024, I had to take the car in for maintenance as the check engine light came on just 3 days after purchase. I only owned the car for 72 hours and drove it less then 100 miles. I was told a rodent had chewed thru my fuel line and that my fuel line/pump and gas tank had to be replaced. This "supposedly" happened while the car was in my possession for 72 hours. I personally believe their mechanics cleared the computer code on the car and had the check engine light wiped before selling me the vehicle. All of which is auto fraud, but I have no way to prove it yet. When purchasing the vehicle I traded in my 2013 Honda civic. I was initially offered $2000 for my civic. I was going to walk out, but when they upped the offer to $4000 with $250 in tax credit so I took the offer. The cost of the repairs for the gas tank on my Mazda was ironically exactly $2250! Funny how that worked out for them. To make matters worse they refused to honor the warranty I purchased and I had to file an insurance claim to get my car repaired. I also NEVER authorized this dealership to do the repairs on my vehicle! I was going to take my car elsewhere to be fixed since at this point I had to go thru my own insurance. However, they went ahead and repaired the car saying my insurance approved it, which to my knowledge I never told them I did, and I will be speaking with my claim agent as I was left with no choice but to pay them the $2250 for repairs I NEVER approved them to make. I did not want this dealership to touch this car again as at this point I have no trust in this establishment. Please do yourself a favor purchase a car elsewhere! Save yourself the headache of buying from this sketchy dealership. A 0 out of 10 experience. DO NOT BUY OR SERVICE HERE. Daughter purchased a 2021 certified used CX5 with 16K miles. Less than a year later, at 21K miles, there is a leaking gasket and the timing belt cover is leaking. Definitely things they knew about when they sold it to her. But it should be under warranty, right? Well ... the mechanic at Heritage Mazda Catonsville said it was "not leaking enough" to repair under warranty. If it was sufficiently leaking before the warranty was expired, bring it back in and they will fix it. If not, the cost would be $12,000 to fix it later, when it was leaking "enough". If she had been paying for it, I am sure the leaking would have been sufficient for them to fix it for $12K. I will not dwell on how outrageous this is. You can imagine how you would feel if this happened to you. Ourisman Mazda in Laurel fixed it under warranty. Carefully, conscientiously. And provided a loaner car. This is the 2nd time I bought a car from Heritage Mazda Catonsville. The first time was 4 years ago and the process was smooth. I even go there for all of my service, which has been fine. So I thought I would give them repeat business. Never again. I emailed them the VIN of the three vehicles I was interested in - all new, CX5s, in stock, ready to go. Made an appointment for Friday afternoon. The sales person was not ready for me. The cars were not ready for me. One was parked in an upper lot and legit covered in bird crap. Like...covered. They had confirmed my appointment and yet made me wait 20 minutes?!? The woman who was handling my deal knew almost nothing about the car's features and the differences in the models other than one had an automatic lift gate and the other didn't. She was clueless. The other salesman tried the old line, "Hey, listen, I'm tired, so this is the best offer I have..." blah blah. Then he miraculously had a better offer. I knew the invoice price. I knew my credit score. I knew what I was willing to pay and I have excellent credit, and yet he still tried to scam me by saying, "This is the lowest I can offer you." Somehow, he was able to get it even lower. He tried to insist that the MD fees are a minimum $800. Folks, the MD fees are a maximum $800, not a minimum. Then, they misread my insurance card and said it wasn't valid until September instead of August. (It renews every September, but became active in August. You would think they know how to read an insurance card.) I was very patient for more than 4 hours. I seriously had the cars all picked out, this sale was a slam dunk, and yet they made it such a challenge. I literally wanted to walk in off the street and give them the money. They didn't have to do much! When I finally picked up the car the NEXT DAY - they had removed the rubber car mats that were initially included. Such a loser move. I mean, really? They were there the night before, but these sleazy guys took them out so they could make a couple extra bucks? For real??? I will never go to this dealership again and I would caution anyone else to stay far, far away. They are looking to make nickels and dimes. I love my Mazda, just not this sales team. read more

Our 2006 RX-8 was draining the battery in two days while sitting parked. After changing the battery twice, I brought it in. They proceeded to tell me that the battery I had was not measuring up to having the appropriate amount of cold cranking amps even though it starts the car just fine when it's charged. Their answer was to sell me another battery for $300 which I did not do. I brought the three week old battery back to AutoZone and swapped it for another. The same problem exists. That's because there's a short in the car. You don't need to be a genius to figure this out. I was just hoping to pay someone else to solve the problem instead of lying on my back with a meter on the fuse box to detect the draw. I pointed out to him that the cold cranking amps would have nothing to do with draining the battery in 2 days while parked. His answer "was we do this all the time". They still took me for the $325 diagnostic and solved nothing. The tag line on their receipt says "your satisfaction is their only acceptable grade" I wrote the letter F and circled it. So if your Mazda develops an electrical problem, drive it into a telephone pole and claim the insurance. Otherwise Heritage's answer is to rebuild the car, one piece at a time, until they finally figure out what was wrong. There is something sketchy about the Mileone Autogroup that service vehicles at this location. I took my car in for an oil change and purchased a complete package for $139.00 which included a tire rotation. I just received an email from Carfax stating I need a tire rotation based on the report submitted to them by this dealership . When I contacted the service department they told me to disregard the carfax report because it's rarely ever accurate, interesting considering Heritage submitted the report to Carfax. Now question whether my tires were rotated. They told me I needed my rear brakes and gasket cover replaced and provided me with a quote of $940.95 for labor and parts. I contacted a local reputable mechanic who stated it would only cost $370 for both. Talk about inflation. Stay away from this place. I should have done stuck to Rich Morton instead trying to find a closer dealership. read more

For a number of years, this dealer had been doing all the service to my car with no issues. Recently it seemed like the service department had changed and not for the better. I had a brake job done in May. A few weeks later, the rear brakes got incredibly noisy. I tried to call to discuss options and kept getting sent to voicemail. Even the call center rep was unable to get patched thru to anyone in service. Finally raised enough hell to get directly patched to someone to discuss it and get an appointment made to have it checked out. Took it in and got a call the next day saying the vehicle was ready. I had asked for someone to call to give me a rundown on what was going on and never got it. Drove over to get the car and they stated that they couldn't find anything wrong from the rear brakes. Drove the car out of service and it started to squeal less than a mile from the dealer. Took it back and asked to speak with service director, Farzad 'Bobby' Aleem. I brought up the phone issue and he told me that it wasn't his problem. When I brought up the brakes, he looked me in the face and asked "what do you want us to do?" He even had the audacity to grab an ice cream cone from one of his coworkers and start eating it in front of me when I was clearly livid about the situation. After some words, he acknowledged that they would put "their best techs" on it in the morning. I told him to give me a call by 10am with an update. The next day, 10am came and went with no update. When I called, he was still aloof to the situation. When I finally got a call that it was "ready," I was unable to get any info on what was actually done. When I pulled up, they informed me that they sprayed braked cleaner and brake lube on it. The brakes started squealing 2 days later. After reaching out to Mazda corp, we agreed to get the car looked at by another dealer. The second dealer found the issue pretty quick. Catonsville did not install the brake pads properly. They left off the brake hardware that pulls the pads away from rotor. Catonsville also used so much brake lube that it was causing some issues. The car has been silent since dealer #2 fixed the brakes. Pretty annoyed that Catonsville messed up a routine brake pad job, couldn't identify the problem after I brought it back several times, were rude, and only wanted to help when I started a case with corporate and left a negative review through the Mazda portal. Any time I come here for a scheduled oil change they take well over an hour and at times 2 hours to get me in and out. Absolute worst techs in the area, they charge an arm and a leg for diagnostics. They don't care to repair they care to sell you parts even if it doesn't solve the issue. I also came here for a battery drainage issue and was told "it's normal for your vehicles battery to drain" so apparently their only solution to replacing warranty issues is to lie to their customers. If I could I'd give this place no stars but I highly recommend everyone steer clear from this dealer. read more

I recently purchased a 2020 Mazda Mazda 3 AWD with the premium package from Heritage Mazda Catonsville. Joe Garner, Toshia Gray and Tim Cypress were great. They all made my first new car purchase an excellent experience. Tosh had the pleasure of taking us on the test drive (Hopefully I didn't scare you too bad, Tosh. Lol.). Afterwards, she showed me how to use the features, set up my service into the monitor and paired my phone as well. Both Joe & Tosh were a lot of fun. We had lots of laughs. Even my niece, AKA my Uber driver, had a blast with them. Tim was very knowledgeable about the warranties and helped us to figure out which ones would work for us.
