In my Family's three cars over the years, they have diagnosed and repaired a myriad of problems and been very honest about what repairs are truly essential for safety and reliability and what repairs can be delayed. We have a 2016 Ford F150, an old 2005 Volkswagen Passat manual, and a 2009 Toyota Sienna. They keep us running great. They are often pretty backed up and so it takes a couple of weeks to get service but a couple of times when we had emergencies they took care of us right away. I try never to ask for rushed service but once or twice that I have needed it they have come through for me and him working extra hours to keep me on the road. The quality of his work is fantastic and his pricing is very fair. He goes out of his way to work within your budget, letting you know what work is critical (if any) and should be addressed asap vs. what he's noticed could use fixing at some point in the future. But what really sets Jeff apart is his dedication to helping his customers. You can't put a price on the peace of mind I get after I take my 16 year old car to Jeff. Not only am I confident that I'm getting a good price; I also know that my car won't then break down immediately afterwards due to shoddy work or from some other issue that I didn't think to ask about (if I asked Jeff to get my car roadtrip ready, it will BE roadtrip ready). And I know I never have to be worried about being judged for asking questions or for the state of my car (yes, there's gorilla tape on parts of my car and no, Jeff has never mentioned it -- in fact, he always talks about how great my car is and how much he enjoys working on it). As a woman with super limited car knowledge who's always a little worried that I'm getting fleeced at auto shops, the trust I have in Jeff is priceless. I also know that Jeff will let me know when it's time to think about retiring my car. Every few years, I'll check in to see if he thinks it's worth me continuing to fix my car up or if I should start thinking about getting a new one. I probably would have thrown in the towel years ago and just gotten a replacement car (even though I love my current one). But thanks to Jeff, my first and only car is still trucking! But Jeff doesn't only make sure he's giving YOU the best possible value; he's also more than happy to help you ensure you're getting the best possible value from other mechanics. He's had to refer me to some other shops for work he couldn't do (or that would be much more expensive for me to have him do vs. other shops -- again, what integrity) in the past. And whenever I expressed any nervousness about them trying to upsell me, he's always told me to just give him a call if anything sounds off, and he'll advise me on what to do. Recently, I even had a situation where I texted Jeff about a light coming on in my car during a roadtrip. I wasn't sure if it was safe to keep going (the manual was extremely unhelpful, saying both that it could be a situation where I needed to stop and take my car in immediately or to just have it looked at sometime soon), so I texted Jeff a photo and asked what he thought. Jeff got back to me right away, and -- with the caveat that he couldn't be certain what was going on, since he wasn't there looking at my car -- he gave me information that made me confident that I could safely keep driving (spoiler: he was right). He then looked at my car the following morning and got the issue fixed (the problem had been a loose gas cap, as he suspected, and the system just needed to be reset for the alert light to turn off) in under 5 minutes, free of charge. And he even told me he was so glad I felt comfortable texting him about this! I've been taking my car to Jeff for over 8 years, and I can't recommend him highly enough. If you're looking for an auto shop, congrats! You've found the best one out there. At Sisson Street Automotive, you'll get great prices, exceptional work, and outstanding customer service. I brought my 2018 Honda Accord here for a turbo repair. My vehicle was running and I was able to drive it to the shop when I initially dropped it off. After the" turbo work was done ", I was later told there were additional engine problems and that the vehicle may need an engine replacement. Throughout the time my vehicle was in their possession, my pickup date was repeatedly pushed back week after week. At no point during this extended delay was I ever informed that my vehicle had sustained water damage. My vehicle remained at the shop for approximately 2 months. When I ultimately picked it up, the situation was significantly worse. The vehicle was no longer operational, and I discovered water intrusion in the vehicle. Items that had been stored in my trunk were wet and molded, there were flies around the vehicle, and I documented the condition with photographs while the vehicle was still on the business's property. I subsequently had to have the vehicle towed from the shop. After I picked up my vehicle and discovered the damage, I attempted to contact the business regarding what I found. I have not received any response. After inspecting the vehicle, my insurance company has now determined that the vehicle is a total loss. This has been an incredibly frustrating and costly experience. I trusted this business with a vehicle that I owned outright and drove to their shop for a repair, and I ultimately received it back non-operational and with significant additional damage. I am sharing my experience so other consumers can make an informed decision about where they leave their vehicles.
