I am simply amazed by how much my daughter has learned about colors, counting, animals, etc, at less than 2 years old! Both of my kids get to do lots of hands-on learning and art projects. The outside area is big with lots of toys and room to run around. The front office staff is super friendly and communicates well. They do a wonderful job of accommodating my daughter's milk allergy. My boys love this school, their teachers and the learning activities…read more I'm thankful that this Montessori school is only about 3 minutes from my residence. This location is inside of a church, but there's nothing wrong with that, I don't personally go to this church and I am still happy to send my boys to this school. This north campus goes up to 6th grade. My boys are going to be in the preschool/kindergarten class together this year. I may or may not add my youngest to the toddler class this year. I'm still deciding on that. But I know the sooner the better for them. :) My two boys went last year and it was their first year. It was great to see my now 4 year old mature more throughout the year, it's been great to watch. He loves his teachers and they are extremely patient. My boys are very busy busy boys and can know how to push patience, so I thank the teachers for really getting down to their level and helping them flourish. I'm excited to see how this year will be for both of them. I highly recommend this school. Extra info: They offer before and after school programs for parents who need the childcare during their work times. They have several options for toddler classes to help introduce them gently into school. They even have a Spanish teacher that visits weekly, I think that's neat & necessary. They have PE once a week, the teacher is great with the kids, my son has grown to really like him. There is a monthly newsletter which tells you what the kids are learning, how you can help, upcoming school events, etc etc. (I like getting them and knowing about what's going on and how I can donate supplies or time.) Kids bring their own lunches daily and the school like to keep things on the healthier side, so they offer suggestions before the school year starts so parents can plan lunches accordingly. Drop off and pick up is called carpool, parents all line up in their cars 10 min before school starts and the secretary brings a clipboard to the driver to sign in/out the children during those times and the teachers unload the children and will load them up at pick up time as well. It makes a nice smooth transition and keeps distractions down. :) The toddler class helps potty train your child also, which made a giant difference for my almost 3 year old. :) He was potty trained before my first son was. I learned a lot about that and it will come in handy for my youngest boy too. If your curious about this place, go set up a time to tour the school. You'll like it. No one knows how to do anything, they all just say "I don't handle that." It's run mostly by a bunch of rude and largely incompetent 20-year-olds and teenagers who don't care about your children. We dropped our child off multiple times while he was upset/crying and they NEVER even comforted him, they just sat there on their phones while my kid and several others inside were crying. Very unprofessional and lazy. They have an archaic "healthy food" rule which prohibits the kids from bringing virtually anything sweet with their lunch. They wouldn't let my child eat his small pack of Welch's fruit snacks. Pretty ironic they don't allow unhealthy food considering how unhealthy some of them look. They should abide by their own rules and cut back on the unhealthy snacks themselves. If you want your kids enrolled in a backwards school with a cult-like staff full of hypocritical mouth-breathers, this is the place for you. If you're normal and just want your children to receive a solid Montessori style education, keep looking.

Let start with what just happened this last Wednesday. My wife goes to pick up my son however he comes out without his back pack or water bottle we sent him with so my wife kindly ask that we do bring it back because we do use it for more occasions other than school. 10 minutes later the teacher comes back empty handed and asks my wife to go back and look for it herself. After instructing my wife that it should be with one of the cubby's, we realize he doesn't have his own cubby in the 2's room. Understandable considering he's transitioning into the 3's room. Well after no luck in the 2's she moves into the 3's room to find his backpack simply just sitting on a desk in the middle of the room. Fair enough, we recognized this was a newer teacher however, after careful inspection she realized even in the 3's room he didn't have his own cubby. My son has no designated spot for him in this school. Well, as upset as she is she takes my son home and notices a smell. Well, he's almost 3 in the process of potty training so maybe an accident? No. And old accident they didn't even bother to change his underwear after, as well as residuals on my sons butt from not being properly cleaned up. What's the point of sending the 3 back up pairs of clothes they specifically ask for if they're not going to bother changing my son after an accident, so now he has an awful rash that pains him just to sit down Now onto the tuition. For the last several months my wife and I have been paying for three days a week for my son to attend. Just recently my wife moved to part-time at her work and was able to take him usually an extra day so sometimes we would only need two days of daycare. After I personally spoke to the Director of the kids Academy daycare I was given the OK to only have to pay for two days of daycare. After about three weeks of doing so the Director comes back and tells me I've been under paying and I need to make sure that I pay back the remaining that I owe. well apparently she was talking about the extra day that we hadn't been paying for for the last couple of weeks because she told me I didn't have to. So they want to head and back charged me charging me a total of $250 cover the current weeks tuition of three days and the last couple of days we DIDNT send my son. Now they expect me to pay for 3 days even if he only attends 2 to make sure to "keep his spot". I'm sorry, what did I pay his $125 enrollment for? Oh right, HIS SPOT. I'm sorry Kids Academy but we as parents have been dreading our son going to your daycare we've even decided to send him elsewhere. Big disappointment and don't waste your money on this careless daycare that smells like dirty diapers the second you walk in. Disgusting

This chapter was a huge transition for both of us. I put my trust and heart in the hands of The Kids Academy. They were so supportive to my son and to me. I am so grateful because as hard as the transition was, they were patient, kind and caring. I would call daily to check up on him. My son grew to love this place and so did I! He became potty trained in a very short time frame. I noticed his vocabulary and speech enhance as he was talking more than ever in full sentences! All I can say is that we are so happy that we chose this school as we noticed a big change in her within the first couple of months. She did not speak but a few words of English as we wanted her to know Serbian language, and now she only speaks English and we have to keep teaching her Serbian. The Montessori way of teaching definitely works as we witnessed her social skills improve drastically where she knows how to share toys and act respectfully with other kids in a nice and polite ways. Her drawing, coloring, painting, cutting, writing, and speaking skills have drastically improved. The school relocated in August of 2019 to a brand new building and its so spacious, clean and most importantly very safe for the kids. Mrs. Khiran and Mrs. Sue, alongside the rest of the staff are all excellent with the kids and us parents.
