Inspiration not only keeps it fun and exciting for kids, but also provides extensive instruction on how to execute every segment of every maneuver. They also teach everything from social and life skills to personal safety in non-violent situations as well as the physical ones. Kids and adults learn and advance at their own pace, and they have a variety of packages from basic TKD to sparring, weapons, hyper (trick/stunt styles) and kickboxing and Krav Maga for older kids and adults. You can also choose from a basic 2 classes per week or a more intensive schedule. Please remember that you get what you pay for. The tuition is about 2-3 times what I had initially intended to pay, but the results as well as support system are well worth it, and they do have payment plans with multiple options to help you to afford their fees. They also have great family rates so that your while family can train for around the same price as 2 or 3 people, depending upon which package you choose. For the first time since I became a parent, I finally have a team that is able to reinforce the lessons I teach my sons, both positive and disciplinary. You can also see the results by the number of district/state/world champions who have trained here, as well as by the roles their students take on in the community. My youngest son used to be very wild and disobedient in comparison to his brothers. My middle son was beaten up about twice a week in his old school, and the administration did nothing to correct the problem. My oldest son wanted an outlet to grow his athletic and leadership skills. Inspiration ATA has helped us to take care of all of that and more. This is probably the best investment I've ever made...and I hold multiple college degrees including an M.A. If you are willing and able to make the investment in their programs, the dividends reaped will far outweigh the costs. In addition to fitness and self defense, your child will develop self-confidence/self-esteem, respect, discipline, vision, teamwork, leadership, community responsibility, academic focus, and so much more. I love my boys, and as of this writing, this is probably the best choice that I have ever made for their growth, development, and well-being as they become more independent and capable adults.

The staff here truly cares about the kids on a deep, personal level. My son takes martial arts here, participates in the parents night out events, and will also be having his birthday party here soon. This is long, but I'd want transparency when it comes to my child…read more When we toured in July, Ms. Wilson was the director. She was wonderful--she explained the teacher assignment, said the app included camera access and daily updates, and reassured me they worked with new kids often. She mentioned she'd be leaving soon and new owners were taking over but felt confident we'd like them. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case. After filling out the application, I waited a week for the rest of the paperwork. Nothing came. I called multiple times and was told it would be sent, but it never was. The Friday before my son was supposed to start, I went in person. They couldn't even find the forms and spent over an hour recreating my account so I could receive them. My son started on Tuesday, and the school called on Monday asking if I still wanted to enroll him because their system showed him inactive. Not a good first impression, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. It took three weeks to get a door code and app access. When I did, there was no camera access after all--"Oh we will fix it". A letter later confirmed parents would not be given access. The code itself often didn't work even when I got it. ACH payments also took three weeks to set up. At first, the director said my balance was zero, then suggested I had given the wrong account, then said my account was closed. Without me changing anything, they eventually "fixed" it. The teacher I was told would be in my son's room wasn't there. On the first day, the teacher didn't introduce herself. Weeks later, I realized someone else was actually the teacher I'd been told about. No notice, no communication--just changes parents were expected to figure out. The handbook says to talk to your child first, then ask the teacher for an update. In our case, a new teacher came in at 2 p.m. daily. When I asked her about my son's day, she always shrugged and said she had just gotten there. There was no handoff from the morning teacher. This was frustrating because this was my son's first school experience, and I wanted to know what he was doing so I could support him at home. At one point, a sign on the door said to check the app for a project due. Since I didn't yet have access, I asked the PM teacher. She shrugged and told me to ask the director, who also didn't know. Just a preschool project--but again showed the lack of communication. Meals were another issue. I noticed many items my son wouldn't eat and asked if I could pack something simple like a banana. I was told outside food wasn't allowed. Staff said if a child didn't eat, they'd offer something else like a sunbutter sandwich--but that never happened. Most days, my son ate nothing at all. Eventually, we decided to move schools and turned in our two weeks' notice. On his second-to-last day, I saw him being walked back to class by staff. The director walked by me to the class. The PM teacher told me my son had been in her office part of the day due to behavior. I got only a one-sentence explanation and was told to "ask the director," but she never came back to speak with me. The app stopped updating at 11:30 a.m., and I picked him up at 3:00. No food, no bathroom notes, no details. No call to me or Dad. If it was serious enough to remove him from class, I should have been called. Once again, he hadn't eaten and was very emotional at home. I didn't send him for his final day--it didn't feel safe. Maybe I'm new to "school life," but I expected communication above all else. Instead, I got excuses. If you want a place to simply drop your child off, this school might work. If you want a place you can trust, where staff truly care about your child's well-being, I'd look elsewhere.

The infant room teachers made me feel so comfortable and most importantly my baby girl loves it! It's only been a couple months but she leaves with a smile on her face and doesn't cry when I drop her off anymore. The app updates are fabulous- they tell us what she ate, when she napped, diapers changed and of course the best part PICTURES! I love that they send me pictures of her while I'm at work. You have the usual hiccups with a new baby at daycare- lots of illness being spread between the kids, but they are really good about giving us notice for when stuff is starting to spread. The classrooms are clean and despite all the other kids in the room I really feel like my little girl is getting a lot of individualized attention. Seriously amazing place I can't recommend it enough Update: She has since moved into the older classroom and her teacher is also phenomenal! She learns a lot and is always coming home with new pictures and her vocabulary is really taking off. They also threw a really cute event for Halloween and have fun parties. Just absolutely love this place and the teachers- Ashley the director, Josie in the infant room, Emily in the 1 year old room and Kayleigh in the older 1s and 2s (I think that is her name, yikes I feel bad) are some of the stand outs. Daycare is of course expensive but for the quality of the teachers, it's really a great value.

On the positive side, the teachers were wonderful -- especially Ms. Kelley, who was amazing with my daughter and helped her learn to read before Kindergarten. The classrooms felt clean and homey, and my daughter made lots of friends there. It was also one of the most affordable preschool options we found, which was a huge plus. That said, there were some real concerns. Communication and organization were lacking. Dates on the calendar would change, but staff often didn't seem aware of the updates. The school's app was very basic and only tracked sign-ins and sign-outs, without sharing anything about classroom activities. The only emails we received from management were reminders about holidays. We also experienced a lack of communication when it came to incident reports. On multiple occasions, my daughter came home with bumps, scrapes, or bruises, but we were never notified during the school day or given a report about what happened. As a parent, that was concerning because I want to know if she's been hurt, even in small ways. Billing was another ongoing frustration. Invoices were frequently incorrect, and we had to constantly monitor the autopay system to make sure we weren't overcharged. This added unnecessary stress on top of everything else. There was also a lot of turnover in staff. While the core teachers were great, it felt like new faces were constantly cycling in and out, which made the environment feel less stable for the kids. Safety and security were additional concerns. There were no cameras on site that I could see, and we once received a notice hours later about an incident where someone entered the gated playground in the morning. There was no follow-up on what changes would be made afterward. The parking lot also felt unsafe at times, with cars speeding through, homeless individuals passing by, and even a stolen car abandoned one morning while police investigated. Lastly, be cautious when looking at reviews online. Many of the 5-star reviews were part of a raffle the school conducted, which makes the feedback seem less reliable. Overall, the teachers gave my daughter a strong start, and I'm grateful for their care. But the lack of communication, billing errors, staff turnover, and security issues made me uneasy as a parent. I hope the school invests in improving those areas because it truly has potential.

Several of my colleagues and fellow practitioners have their children enrolled at the other Little Scholars location and highly recommended it to me. I am not being paid or incentivized for this review (frankly, I wouldn't need it as previous review suggested)--this is simply my honest experience as a parent who values quality education and safety. I love this school, and the upward mobility it provides for our children within this community. Little Scholars has exceeded every expectation. The teachers are excellent and hold my baby like he is their own. The classrooms are spotless, and the play yard is beautiful and safe. Outside parameter is locked, secured and checked daily. My son is only three, and he's already learning letters, numbers, and beginning to read and write. His speech has advanced far beyond his age, and he's being taught valuable life skills that build confidence and independence. I appreciate the good manners they practice. They worked tirelessly on helping me potty train. They assisted me in the method I chose and were supportive from day one. Children get sick! It is what it is, but its not a reflection of "cleanliness of the place." Cold and flu season comes around and they are sanitizing like crazy. I'm personally thankful for this season as I know my son's immune system will be optimal come grade school. This is not just a daycare--it's a true preschool where children leave testing well above kindergarten level. My friend (another PA) noticed how advanced my child was for his age and opted to pull her two children out of a daycare and place them in a school atmosphere closer to her. She called me yesterday with an update (1st week in school ended) and she told me how impress she is with the change. As such, because it is a school the teachers are paid a salary and closures for holidays/breaks are not with reduced pay so that they continued to get paid. I don't mind this. I respect teachers and believe they deserve more especially when you have such excellent staff you'd do anything to keep them. I wish more schools followed this model. I also want to address a recent negative review, quite frankly the only lone star review (and her only review on yelp). It's clearly a revenge post for her personal vehicle being rummaged through because SHE left it unlocked. The claims about safety and homelessness in the area does not reflect the whole truth. Within the past year the homelessness has taken a significant shift. The neighborhood is rapidly changing. Bellair was bought out, new businesses are moving in building on empty lots (including the lot directly next to the school - adding additional lighting and security cameras to the area). Landscaping and hardscaping by the city has taken place up 43rd ave and the homelessness is starting to move on. I personally have never felt unsafe here even before these changes took place, but I'm happy to see the local improvements. Regardless, the incident mentioned in the other review was due to an unlocked vehicle in the parking lot not a reflection of the school itself. This could have equally happened a the local quick trip, sushi joint or grocery store. The original poster also cross posted this to the Neighborhood app (or FB (?)- this is where I saw the post initially) noting that the police were called but would be late to arrive so she left (they were late to arrive because they were looking for the gentleman that did it). She notes that nothing was stolen. Beyond this, the child was clearly in attendance for a couple of years (per her timeline). I would doubt that if she felt her child was unsafe for so many years she would have kept her child enrolled for that long. It also appears the child tested out end of summer and moved on (likely more advanced and above their peers) and she was refunded the month for her distress this caused her. Seemingly appropriately handled to me... Little Scholars goes above and beyond for children, families and community. We couldn't be happier with our choice, and I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a safe, nurturing, and academically advanced start for their child. I can't wait to enroll my second when she's of age. Take a tour and see for yourself!
