A teacher's response that this behavior "meant they loved her" was deeply concerning and unacceptable. Communication was inconsistent and often unclear. Progress reports were repeatedly delayed and, when finally received, contradicted prior conversations about my child's academic struggles. Additionally, my child's tutor identified academic deficiencies that had never been communicated by the school, and there were inconsistencies between staff regarding her progress. Overall, this experience showed a lack of accountability, communication, and appropriate support. Families should ask detailed questions about accommodations, academic intervention, and how student behavior is handled before enrolling.

We often left those discussions feeling dismissed and blamed rather than heard. There was no genuine engagement with parents. We were asked what we could contribute to the "community," but we never experienced any real sense of one. Communication felt controlled and one-sided. This is a smaller school, more close-knit, and more invested in individual children that I appreciate all the more after having transitioned to a much larger private school. Despite being much less in tuition, they have provided school supplies for my kids and have done some very impressive field trips and events that clearly show to me that their profit margin is very slim. The Montessori way is not something you see in our mainstream schools anymore. The school offers a genuine Montessori prepared environment with teachers that are dedicated and return year after year. The children not only learn academic skills that place them far above the performance of children at other schools, but they gain so much more from this family style/homelike setting complete with access to nature and animals. Our daughter has strengthened her sense of self-confidence, which has allowed her to develop her own personal strengths and talents.
