We had been having problems with our furnance for 2 weeks. The furnace would run continually for 6-7 hours t a time. The only time the furnance would shut down was when the preset temp on the thermostat lowered for night setting. At night when the temp lowered below the preset temp the furnance would come on and again run for hours. We called another well known company and the service man pushed something on the furnance and keep increasing the temp until temp was reached and then it shutoff. He increased the temp 4 times and each time when setting was reached furnance shut down like it is supposed to. He said furnance was old (installed in 2002) and was no longer efficient and should be replaced. Furnance being no longer efficient it would take longer to work. Ididnt think 10 hours was acceptable.When he left he set temp on thermostat and furnance ran for 10 hours. He was at the house for an hour.My son recommended your company as he had had problems at his gym which you fixed. Your service man came and went downstairs to the furnance and within 5 minutes located the problem. The problem was not a dirty filter but a filter that was to dense. No air was getting to the furnance This was 2 weeks ago and furnance has been working great. So didn't have to replace furnance as recommended by other company but buy a $3 less dense filter. We have used Butler plumbing at our cabin and at our acreage and will always rely on them for timely , courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable service. We had a high efficiency furnace that would not heat the house above 15 degrees. We called Butler Plumbing and within several hours, Kevin arrived . He diagnosed the problem and ordered the part necessary to fix the problem but due to the current supply chain problem, the wait would be a week or more. With Kevin's experience and extensive knowledge, he did some configurations that allowed us to keep the heat to 19 degrees. The part came in a week and a half and upon its arrival Kevin called to arrange a time to replace the defective part. He replaced the part and found out that the thermostat had malfunctioned and possibly was the cause of the replacement failure. He sped off and returned with a new thermostat , which he replaced. We had a positive experience with Butler Plumbing a few years ago when we had them connect a gas line to a new gas clothes dryer. Needing a plumbing service recently to clear a clogged drainage line that ran from our kitchen sink to the City's sewer system, we recalled this good experience and contacted them again. Our call was answered directly and pleasantly by Chelsey at Dispatch. She advised that she could have a technician deal with our problem within a few hours and that he would call a half hour before his arrival. He did. The technician, Brock, was very pleasant to deal with, did his work efficiently and effectively, and didn't mind my watching him work as I was curious about the process and the equipment that he needed to use. He explained each step and what it was intended to accomplish. He used a tarp to protect the floor from any potential water damage when the clean out on the drainage line was opened and took great care that his auguring and other equipment did not damage anything. We called our long term company and waited 3 days before they could look at our tankless hot water system. Regretably they were unable to trouble shoot the system and referred us to Butler. After 3 days with no hot water, we worried we would have to wait even longer. We were accommodated almost immediately and Bryce came out the next morning. We have been using Butler plumbing for our plumbing needs and have never been disappointed. Every single time, the tech/plumbers who have come to our house have been very polite and professional and knew their stuff. Most recently, we had an issue with our Rani system. I was able to make an appointment for the same day, the plumber (Bryce) was able to find the issue and fixed it, but encountered another issue when he tried to flush the system. A replacement part was needed and no supplier seemed to have it ... it would have taken 2-3 weeks to have it delivered (i.e. 2-3 weeks of no hot water for us!). However, our plumber continued to call around until he found the piece, came back the same night (after hours) and fixed our hot water! You can't put a price on a service like this! read more

I had some problems with my hot water tank and my in-floor heating system. Butler Plumbing (Travis) sent down Bryce as I wanted someone familiar with the in-floor heating system. The tank was repaired and I was told I needed another part (back flow valve). The part was picked up at Emco in Sherwood Park and Bryce was back within 1/2 hour with the part. After installation the system was run and the air let out of the piping. This is the best my system has run since I have been in the house. We have used Butler Plumbing in the past and they are who we call when we have plumbing needs. We had bought a replacement dishwasher for our older house, when we took out the old dishwasher we were unable to reinstall the new appliance as it would hit the ventilation pipe. The plumber stated we have two options, one would be about two hours work and would correct the issue, the other option was replacing the pipe, bring the plumbing to code and take at least six hours. Very happy with the job done. My house was built in the 50's with original plumbing and various changes and additions made over the years by past owners. My latest call was to get an old style drum trap replaced with a P trap. Renovations over the years made this an awkward job.
