Yolanda has not only made the moving out process terrible, but she has also towed our truck when we lived here. * I had told the front office (it's a new employee every month) to put my truck on record while we were fixing it up and nobody did therefore resulting in my truck getting towed 3 weeks before Christmas. They'll send emails about a missing package but they won't email anybody before their vehicle is towed which resulted in $400. *When we first moved in the front gate was broken for six months and in that timeframe they renovated the office first before they ever fixed the gate resulting in one of our Amazon packages getting stolen. *We also leased out a garage and while they were "renovating it" we peaked in and found mold on the ceiling. I brought this up to the front desk. The employee at the time (who quit after a month) acted very nonchalant and not concerned and just kept repeating "oh well I haven't seen it" while Yolanda just sat in her office. It wasn't until I showed her pictures that she said maintenance will paint over it or we can move to a different garage in a different building. *They will do a fire test once a year and come into your home wether you're there or not to check, but our neighbor had a fire from a stray cigarette and no alarms went off while firefighters extinguished flames which is dangerous and unacceptable. *When we decided that we were going to move out of the apartment, they told us we had to give 60 days notice of our move out date when the notice is usually 30 days at other apartments and rental homes. *Lastly, don't hang anything on your walls at this apartment unless you want to be charged $500 and up. Our original invoice when we moved out was $162.47 for renovations that she said maintenance would handle. They sent me a picture of a dirty part of the fridge, but I had pictures of the fridge I cleaned disputing that. We disputed the cleaning and insurance fee because we did in fact clean and had insurance and we were willing to pay the rest. Afterwards Yolanda decided to take matters in her own hands and hired a company saying that she had to redo the whole apartment when she told us that the "renovations" would only be $162.47 and mantience would take care of it. They gave us a final invoice and then took that and changed the price completely and gave us a second one resulting in $565.47. The rent is too high for the area that it's in, not to mention the rundown street right behind the apartments. Yes these apartment are cute and it is a small community but they will charge you a fortune just so they can continue having parties and contests in the front office. If you do decide to stay here, I would highly recommend to document everything. As for The Mark on Solon, I hope you take this feedback and use it to improve.

There was one leasing agent there and she was just unpleasant and then I spoke with Yolanda, the property manager and she helped with that. Then, recently, out of nowhere Yolanda has became the utmost rude individual that I have come across in the world of apartment leasing. I had left my dog poop a few times and after she spoke with me once, I was making sure to pick them all up. Which even when she told me that time she was a little rude, but I let her live. Then today I waas going back upstairs to get the waste bags that I use and she follows me up the stairs and yelling like "I KNOW YOU HEAR ME, PICK THIS UP RIGHT NOW!" Little did she know, I was putting my dog away to come back. She lost her mind and I had a heated argument with her in the office following this. She then threatens to give a lease violation, as if that was going to be effective. The bigger problem in all of this is the lack of professionalism and inconsistency within the community. You are enforcing rules on residents that you target and then those very rules that are enforced, are seen being broken all through the complex. Mark on Solon is not worth the price or anger/irritation you will face if you move here. There is noise at night as some residents are yelling at each other/fighting or straight up partying until 2am. Unless they get people who actually know how to properly manage the property, then I see nothing changing.

Lived there for 2 years and management changed at least 4 times. Is it gated- yes- do the gates…read morework? 10% of the time. We transferred from a 1 bed to a 2 bed (the one bed was in phase 2 and there were ZERO issues....but phase 1? Holy hell. On move in day they gave us the keys and the apartment had never been cleaned. There were some half empty soda cans, nails on the floor, a piece of the fridge missing, a shelf missing. And we ended up having to pay our movers for 2 extra hours and started cleaning it ourselves bc they were working on finding someone to clean. This was unacceptable and their answer to some sort of compensation was a $65 credit. We dealt with roaches for at least 6 months and they were spraying but not enough- we had to go out on our own and pay for someone to come - it took the ppl who lived there before who moved below us moving out in order for them to go away. We were poolside and they wld leave pool music on 24/7 so you cld always hear it in our place- 2am-6am pool music. When I complained they turned it down a little but I cld still hear it. They suddenly started charging us toward the end of our lease a $35 fee monthly for breaking a lease requirement- no one ever reached out to us to explain the issue. I called and emailed several times - someone finally told Me it was bc we didn't have renters insurance- but we did the entire time. When we showed proof that we had it they refused to reimburse us the $170 bc the policy didn't say it was for Mark on Conquest. We loved our apartment but it was bc of how we made it our home. Oh I want to add the maintenance guys have always been amazing even though they changed frequently they have always been so helpful and friendly.

You're still close enough to town too that nothing is too far. Landscaping is always well kept. It's just a very nice place to be and great place to be if you have a pet. Even though I don't have a pet, I love seeing all of my neighbors taking their dogs to the dog parks. I think it's a great place to live for pet owners because there is just so much space for your pet if you have one. And pretty much everyone picks up after their pets which is greatly appreciated. It keeps the property looking nice. When moving here, one thing that I'd ask questions about is guest parking. Just to see if you're okay with the way it works and parking availability for your guests. At some apartments you're able to have your guests register their vehicles online, but here you have to go into the office or get in touch with them somehow in order to get a tag for your guests to hang in their car. If you don't they have to park at the office which is very limited when it comes to parking spaces. Not a deal breaker to me though! I have only experienced one issue and it mainly has to do with maintenance. I have had an issue for 2 months now and have only had one person come to check it out and have not heard anything as far as updates on it since. I have even reached out to maintenance 4 times and the office 1 time with no responses which is pretty upsetting considering what it is that I need to be fixed. This is the only reason I gave 4 stars. Overall though, I highly recommend the Mark on Conquest!

I'd also love to see valet trash added, a bigger and more updated fitness room with additional equipment, better outdoor seating, grilling areas, package lockers, and more resident events. It would be nice to have more updated common areas where residents can actually relax, hang out, and enjoy the community. Blue Lake Villas has a lot of potential, and adding these features would make the property feel more modern and make the rent feel more worth it.

Upon move in, the apartment was filthy, showers didn't work, two windows wouldn't close all the way, and it smells gross. We realized in the middle of the night that rain was pouring through the windows/seal during a storm (video won't upload). We had to move all of our furniture from the windows to prevent damage. Our A/C leaks water all over one of the bathrooms. Water is pooling there as long as the A/C is blowing. Someone has come by to fix it twice but their repairs haven't done a thing. There's no urgency in this issue to the apartment complex. Water is seeping through the walls and caused the towel holder to fall out of the wall bc it is so wet. The buildings are in terrible condition. The pool and gym are closed with no scheduled open date. I went to do laundry in the laundry room and was informed that all of the machines were broken.

I had no idea that they started towing they said they texted me, emailed me and put something on my door. Never happened! I stopped getting text from them a year ago. I never had a problem here at least not with management. But this was crazy that my car got towed today but the towing has been in effect since January of this year. Don't you think if I would have known I would've gotten it done before now? So I had to pay for their mistake... I like it here for the most part.. I pay rent on time every month ..
