Thieves who steal catalytic convertors target this place every few months, management will not notify you when this occurs. The security gate is regularly broken and left open, and lots of entrance gates are rusted and the a gap on the side entrance you can walk through, The side door will not lock no security cameras except for the front entrance very dark in the back. Vehicles parked outside the complex have flat tires and expired inspection sat for months. read more

I am being FORCED into moving into this property since I already paid my deposit. I applied same day I toured on my phone and forgot to list my referral. I called the next morning, to ask them to either put the referral down for me or let me redo the application and was told if it's not on the original application theres nothing they can do. I asked them to ask corporate. Corporate emailed me back to say there was nothing they could do since in the meantime they sent me the lease and I signed. After getting my pets ESA letters approved they had to redo the lease, so I redid the application listing my referrals and repaying the application and admin fee. They emailed me saying I was already approved so they cannot except the new application and refunded my money. I called corporate and was told no as well when originally it was because I already signed the lease, now I have a new lease that is not signed and they still won't accept a new application, or amend the original one. The manager and the regional manager were rude and petty to not honor this. I work in the apartment business for the past 6 years, and know this is absolutely possible for the regional to do this, and she said "yeah I could" to quote her, but she's not. I will never refer anyone here, and nor will my friends that referred me!!!! read more

I have been living here for over 2 years. They have been nothing short of caring and considerate. They are always adding updates. I love my new faucet. Its the same one they have in new homes. The staff manages with their heart and soul. Thank you to Nicole, Jennifer and Jessica. The entire office and maintenance staff are invaluable and the best that I have come across in this business. This is a great apt complex. The manager is friendly, fair, flexible, generous, and hilarious. Words of caution: if you smoke, don't move in here. It's a nonsmoking complex and nobody wants to smell your crap. If you have a dog, keep it on a leash and always pick up after it. Be quiet and respectful of your neighbors. If you drive a crappy car that leaks oil, have it repaired so you don't ruin the parking lot. If you don't pay your rent, you're out. If you don't pick up after your dog, you're out. If you throw cigarette butts all over, you're out. If you don't pick up after yourself, you're out. Very easy to live here if you're not a disgusting pig. They are awesome about repairs too. I've always had same-day response so nothing is ever broken. read more

I was just looking around on Yelp today and realized my apartment complex didn't have any updated reviews! I have lived here for 2 going on 3 years and has by far been the best apartment complex I have ever lived in. Beginning with the office and their staff, they are all wonderful people. When initially moving in, they were prompt in explaining the complex rules and getting paperwork done. They hold residents accountable for their rules and I genuinely enjoy that. What's great, is if you order a package that is too big for your mailbox, they'll hold onto there until you can pick it up. Maintenance staff are always nice as well. If anything breaks, they are normally in the next day to fix it. One time, the line that runs water to the refrigerator broke in the middle of the night (around midnight) and a maintenance man was in our apartment in 15 minutes helping us sort things out. Pest control comes in monthly to spray for bugs, and they use a spray that is safe for cats and dogs. If they ever enter your apartment, you receive a text from the front office along with a note on the door explaining why and what they did. I would say the only downside to the apartment is the parking. If you have the opportunity to have a covered spot or garage, I would recommend taking it. Uncovered parking is free yet hard to come by past 7pm. I take a lot of comfort living in this community. Plus! They just repainted the buildings and it's nice to see a fresh look! read more

Shortly after my review, the Lofts was taken over by a new management company. Now they are called Oxford Crossing. Let me say that each and every issue I mentioned, was addressed: the blinds, the freezer needed a part replaced, they have repaired the disposal and all bulbs were replaced. They spray regularly for pests, and extra when asked. I have not seen a roach since! The pet policy is strongly enforced, and I've gotten to know both Kellye and Nicole in the front office, who have been great. I renewed my lease for another year in 2015 and again this year 2016! I move in on Oct 31, 2020. First impressions are very important. Both Jessica & Nichole were so friendly, professional & welcoming. I had a situation at another complex & needed to move quick. A 2bdrm was available & I was able to move in within a week. Although this is temporary for my Husband & I, we chose the right place to call home for the next 6 months. We have lived in a few apartment communities. Some are good, some are bad, and some just have poor, unreliable managers. The Lofts has a problem with management. We have seen at least 3 leasing employees come and go since we have been here. We moved in this complex in November of 2012, and the builder forgot to put a mailbox in the postal station for our apartment number. Management at the time apologized and said they would fix the problem. Weeks went by and our mail had a 50% chance of being delivered to the leasing office or returned to sender. After a month or so, someone from the Lofts management took a piece of paper and wrote our apartment number on it and taped it to the door of our mailbox location, and at this present time, 4:51pm on May 29th, 2013 we still do not have a standard mailbox. The taped paper is still in place in this upscale apartment community. On top of this issue that management can't seem to solve, we recently received a water/sewer bill that nearly tripled. We called the leasing office and talked to management, management advised us that many tenants were calling the office complaining about their bills nearly tripling. Management advised us not to pay the bill and wait for a corrected bill or a phone call. We waited and nothing happened. We called again and were told to contact the billing department. The billing department told us to call the utility provider. We called the Lofts Management back and the manager speaking didn't t have any interest in resolving the issue for us or any other tenants. She was done with the matter leaving her tenants to fight the issue themselves. We presently pay more for water that we do power. It makes no sense and management couldn't care less. Evidently they have better things to do than look out for their tenants. Oh yeah, if you move here be ready to deal with pet feces all over the lawns, barking dogs, speeding vehicles, and dead field rats lying next to sidewalks for months after being reported to leasing agents. Bottom line is management could be more attentive and proactive to their tenants needs. Update: AMANDA (Manager) found a way to keep all of our deposit upon moving out. We cleaned our apartment from top to bottom before moving out. The only thing we didn't do was steam clean the carpet. We were charged for everything that they could charge us for even pin holes in the wall from hanging pictures. DO NOT LIVE HERE. YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF!!! read more

Luxury. Not one bit. Cheap everything from the carpet that comes apart to the thin cabinets and flimsy tub. Grounds have no grass except on the edges and the pool is constantly green as it is not properly maintained. After hours and on weekends anyone and everyone from Waxahachie seems to love and come swim in the pool . Staff is real nice. Not overly loud but def, not luxury. read more

I will start this review by saying I rarely take the time to write a review just because I general chalk a bad experience up to a possible isolated event or I avoid the situation all together the next time. Unfortunately I am stuck in a lease at these so called "Luxury Apartments" so I feel my only course of action is to try and help future tenants to avoid this place. First off I love my unit, it's exactly what I was looking for and I realize they are brand new and there are going to be an occasional issues with any new property so my issues isn't with the units themselves but with the management staff the owners have chosen to run the complex. I have been in the customer service industry the better part of my working career so I realize the ups and downs of dealing with general public however if you have poor social skills and can't portray yourself as somehow caring about your customer's needs (or tenants) then you have no business managing a property, let alone helping a new one get off the ground. The 2 woman in the office (Kelly and Amanda) apparently have not worked in this field or dealt with customers in a past career because they have no idea how to treat people. Every time I have dealt with either of them they act like you are putting them out or they are being bothered. The few time I have called or gone by the office to discuss issues with THERE unit, that I am paying for each month they act like they really could care less and are very short (I have literally avoided getting a couple superficial things address with my unit just to try and avoid dealing with them....it's really that bad). Talking with several other tenants around me, I am definitely not the only one to have experienced this issue with management as well. read more

Awful management, lots of issues. Plumbing issues, shotty worksmanship, TERRIBLE management. They 'amend' the lease agreement every few months. Put in new rules. Nothing is kept clean. Workout room is disgusting. They claim free WIFI in the main house but only if you're sitting directly on the couch in the middle of the room. Not able to use by the pool or in the gym. It's just not very well planned out. Beware of your water bill, I'm almost positive they make stuff up. Mine varies from 15 to 60 a month. It makes absolutely no sense and they won't fix anything about it. My bathroom door has never had a handle on it. I literally have NO HANDLE. Have complained 6-7 times and they said "THERE ISN'T ANYTHING WE CAN DO." That's the builders fix. Actually, there's a home depot down the road. But I guess I'm wrong in that. Also, beware of pricing in general. They'll just tell you whatever number they can get away with and then work from there. It's just ridiculous. PRO: I don't have loud or rude neighbors. But that's just luck. Just don't. Go to Hunter's Cove if you're looking for this type of apartment. It's about 5 years older but they actually have their act together. If you don't want anything fixed or need anything or don't question any bills, you'll be fine. read more

I am flabbergasted to read the reviews here about The Lofts. I actually checked to be sure I clicked on the right link because I do not recognize the place in the reviews to date. I have lived here close to a year & have not a single complaint. On the contrary, I have high praise. I haven't had the opportunity to spend that much time with the management because I haven't had the need. Each staff member I have encountered has always been friendly, pleasant, easy going, & quick to respond to any need, which have been few. Before move-in, I completed a list provided by management of things I wanted tended to & all were completed without question & to satisfaction. My water bill has been consistent & consistently reasonable. My utility bill is, in my opinion, incredibly low. If I remember correctly, the highest was $61. The appliances are excellent. I have to keep my bathroom door open to remind me I have laundry going because the washer & dryer are so quiet. I have called for maintenance on 4 occasions, all for minor problems: replacing batteries in the thermostat & smoke detector, installing a brace in the closet, & a plumbing issue. Each & every time, the fix was done, done well, & done quickly by nice & professional people. The grounds are very well kept. I haven't encountered dog droppings often & those that I have, I blame on the dog owner(s) for not using the ample facilities available to deposit them. I have, to my surprise actually, never seen a dead or live field mouse on any of my many walks around the area. The pool is kept clean & clear, &, in my opinion, is unique & very pretty. It offers plenty of attractive & comfortable seating/lounging. I am not a country music fan but it is nice nonetheless to hear the tunes going. It would be excellent to have a second pool because it can get a bit crowded. The dumpster is overflowing at times but that is due to those, I assume, who are moving out & choose to leave behind what they don't want to load up. It is emptied in a timely enough manner. I have had no issues with having guests, even those with pets. I have had mail, packages & flowers delivered safely. My vehicle has been safe. I feel safe here. If you are considering moving to The Lofts, I recommend it. I am not a particularly high maintenance individual but I do expect to get my dollar's worth & am not timid about seeing that my expectations are met. I honestly have not had cause for complaint & I am sincerely surprised by those reviews that indicate that they have. read more

Although my time here has been short (moved in July), I have had a totally different experience than the other posters on this site. I have found the office personnel to be nothing but wonderful and extremely helpful when needed. I don't go to the pool so I cannot vouch for the cleanliness of the pool itself or that area, however, the grounds are very well kept. The person complaining about no grass should have seen that before renting the apartment!? There have been two different times I have contacted the office for maintenance issues and the repairs were made same day. I love this complex and would definitely recommend it to others. read more
