Within 13 minutes of the missed appt the receptionist called to say I cannot return to the salon. She said I had to pay 1/2 of the service in order to reschedule. I went to the salon, paid the fee, saw No info posted about this policy. The on-line OS salon did include this policy. I absolutely LOVE Aveda products! Although, I am hesitant to reschedule at this time.

I asked my stylist for a simple trim. I showed her a photo of a girl with medium length hair. When…read moreshe said she was done, it looked much longer than the picture I showed her (and it looked bad) and I decided to go with a different cut, I thought it would help. I showed her an exact photo of the length I wanted. She chopped off all my hair, didn't blend or incorporate any layers, which made my hair at my ears in length, and in turn, made my hair feel and look chunky and awful. My hair is gone! She just kept cutting. I walked into Jenny's salon and Spa, and said "help me" and the girls reaction was "oh my gosh, what happened." I should have known the stylist wasn't confident in her abilities, she kept second guessing herself, had to focus on each cut she made to the point she couldn't carry on a conversation, and it took forever. I told the owner how bad my experience was and I asked for her help to fix it, she said she couldn't help me. I was charged $47 plus $35 (plus tip) to go to Jenny's and get it fixed. A total of $88! Very disappointed. Luckily the talented people at Jenny's were able to help as much as they could. I will never go to Jennifer Harmon at Envy again. This all resulted from wanting a basic hair cut and blending of layers. Not complicated stuff.

Ever since, she was the only person I've allowed to work with my hair. I was instantly in love with her passion, professionalism, and technique. Every time I returned, I only asked for Heather. As her career progressed, I followed her to various locations and finally to her own salon "Hair By Heather @ The Parlor". If you want a professional stylist who knows exactly what they're doing, GO TO HEATHER! By far the best cut that I've received in Central Illinois and I will go back to Bloomington from Chicago just to have Heather cut my hair. I have never left Heather's chair not feeling 1000x sexier.
