We had the BEST time at Hermann Crown Suites! We came to Hermann for a Girls' Trip to celebrate a 50th birthday! We stayed in the Music Decades Suite, and it was amazing. It was in the heart of the downtown area surrounded by wonderful boutiques and restaurants! They had a delicious breakfast buffet with so many delicious selections from bacon and eggs to granola and fruit. We parked our car and left it all weekend, because they offer a shuttle to take you to the wineries and the shops/restaurants are all in walking distance. The nightlife at the Crowne Suites offers a quaint downstairs bar and a lit patio with nightly live music. They have so many drink and food options for guests as they enjoy the nice weather and music. The owners, Lisa and Steve, were there at all times and so accommodating. Lisa gave us a tour of our room and all of its amenities, and Steve welcomed us to breakfast. You can walk or bike around the area, and the views are beautiful. They were so knowledgeable of all of the surrounding offerings, and they made our stay so pleasant. I definitely planned to stay with them again, and I would highly recommend their establishment to anyone looking for a relaxing and/or entertaining weekend ~ it's really an area to kick back or enjoy multiple activities.

I recommend for the prices and the staff. We stayed in the Victorian Suite and it was not very "Victorian." A few cute Victorian pieces thrown in amongst modern cheap pieces. But that being said, I'm a California with snobby taste. The staff was very cordial and the prices not too bad for what you get (at least compared to what I'm used to). Breakfast was equivalent to Comfort Inn suites, nothing fancy or special.

This place deserves ten stars. Super friendly service from check in to check out. Rooms were squeaky clean and reminded me of being at grandmas house! Homey and inviting. Netflix was also available and as were movies in the lobby. There was a beautiful patio area as well as stellar breakfast. Not to mention the room rate was unbeatable! This is the place to be!

The entire room was decorated with old time-y phones and cool illustrations/post cards/ memorabilia from the that time. Freaking adorable.

If you're looking for a winemaking family who is passionate about the details - down to the genetics and ancestors of their grapes - then look no further! We would have loved a tour, but they were booked for the day (go early to make sure you get a spot!), but the tasting was a great second option! For $15 you try six wines from their very large list. They'll teach you about each one too. If you like bourbons or whiskey, I'd highly recommend their Cream Sherry - it won 12th best American wine at the Decanter Wold Wine Competition (The world's largest and most influential wine competition) in recent years (just enjoy slowly - it's 19%!!). Also, they make their wines very affordable! From $11-$40, everything is in reach! (They do have a $75 reserve Norton on the list as of May 2026.) You can enjoy the restaurant on site, shop alllll the wine accessories, relax on their patio above the hills of vines, play a game of corn hole, and pose for a few photos. They've been continuously farming (taking a break from wine only during prohibition) for 179 years! You won't regret a visit if you enjoy wine!

Several other couples who arrived around the same time were welcomed immediately, but we were left standing there without any acknowledgment. It was uncomfortable and made us feel overlooked in a way no quest should experience. I can't say why we were treated differently, but the contrast was hard to ignore. Because of the lack of attention, we ended up buying only a few bottles- even though we originally planned to purchase two full cases. We also chose not to buy anything from the stores afterward, which is unusual for us, but the experience at the beginning made it difficult to fully appreciate the visit. For a winery with such a strong reputation, I expected a much more welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. This was a one- star experience for us, and we won't be returning.

Hermann Hill was good, but not great. I can see why this is a spot where couples come to connect…read more We stayed in the rooms that were attached to check in so my ranking only based on that room and facility. Check in was easy and the view on the hill would be nice if not rainy and can't imagine what a great sunny day would be like (probably very pretty!). They do have a 3 mile walking trail but if you try it you need to grab the map first or you'll think you're heading to a private road. We turned back without a map thinking we went the wrong way - rookie mistake but wish we would have been told to grab a map prior to heading out. Or be handed one as newbies... The owner I believe lives in the facility as well, and it was Easter weekend. He was talkative first night upon check in and did stop by outside to chat. The waterfall was not working and he said maybe he'd get it working by the time we left. Not a big deal, but never did turn on. It was odd that his family lived there or was visiting for Easter so we did feel a little like intruders over the weekend. Room: was freezing cold, and first night the heat was not working well. We did have a fireplace in the room but the unit to use for heat was not working no matter what we tried even with staff assistance. The bathroom was freezing and we had to use a space heater to try to warm it. We did complain the second night and nothing was fixed as owner was having Easter dinner upstairs with his family. Hot Tub: clean, small and perfect for 2 people. Made the trip. Didn't use the small table fire pit. They don't tell you that they drop off deserts at night and the next morning we woke up with melted ice cream outside the room. Communication breakdown. Coffee was folders, nothing great but did have a selection of offerings for breakfast time. Staff workers were amazing - kind and super friendly given that it was Easter weekend. You can tell they do try to give you the best experience. The staff hired here were amazing and friendly. Games are available for the rainy days. TV has most steaming services, rooms a tad older look. Somethings not functioning - like the sound machine, TV being finicky, and heat in room. We probably will not choose this room. Would rather stay at the rooms that are on the river and try that route next time!

We had a party of 12 and we were told we'd be sat at different tables, no big deal. 8 of our party went to one table and the other 4 sat at a table catty corner to our party. We had separate waiters which I think was maybe their first mistake. Both tables ordered drinks and appetizers that came fast and were delicious....then things quickly fell apart. We were one of the first few tables seated. Our other parties tables food came out and us 4 at the other table was still waiting. We continued to wait while every table that came in after us starts getting their meals. Finally the table behind us that came in 30 min after us got their meals, we asked the waitress if she could check on our food? She came back and said it was "being plated." We wait a solid 30 more min and by this time our other parties table had eaten and were paying and we still did not have our food. Asked the waitress again who said they were waiting on mashed potatoes. We got up to check with the manager who was bartending who never once apologized or stopped to check on what was going on and only said "we got swamped." Which was a crazy excuse considering we were one of the first tables to order. Since the manager refused to help at all we talked to the hostess who was seating people and may have been the asst manager. She checked on our food and told us "there was a problem with the pesto." When our food came out my daughter mushroom and Swiss burger was charred to a crisp and hard. Finally the assistant manager took our meals off of our tickets. It was a frustrating experience for our first visit there and didn't leave a great impression. The food (minus my daughter's burger) and drinks were really good. I'm not sure where the disconnect happened but the managers poor excuse and the way he completely ignored us and the situation was pretty poor customer service. We come to Hermann every year and this year had brought people who had never been before. Sad they didn't get an enjoyable experience and my daughter didn't even get a meal.
