Was extremely disappointed in the recent change in Hero Certified's SoulBurger soy-based patty to the NotMeat chickpea, plant based version. The chickpea burger's texture is extremely grainy and the flavour is quite different...& not in a positive sense. While some may welcome the switch to a plant based patty, I do not think it warranted the removal of the original soy-based product. The two types are not interchangeable and reconsideration of the full swap is warranted. read more

One of the worst places i've ever eaten burgers in. The buns are small, bearly any veg toppings in it. No ketchup or mayo, they want extra charge for that - cheap as hell. The wings dish is disgusting, tossed it to the garbage after 2 bites. No boneless wings. The fries on side also very small - one of the cheapest resturants i've been in. Wouldn't recommend anyone to spend a single cent on that no-value product and i have no idea how theyre still in business. read more

So I was starving the other night and was scrolling through Uber eats. I saw that they had a WHOLE chicken section. Honestly, I didn't even know this was a thing. @herocertified has always just been called Hero burger ‍ so I never really thought much into it..... But I saw this on Uber eats and said f**k it, why not? I love me some good chicken. I ordered their Spicy, sauced chicken sandwich with a poutine. Usually "spicy" chicken sandwiches at franchises aren't actually spicy but they along side the cheese, lettuce, spicy sauce and pickles.... THEY HAVE JAPS! A decent amount of japs at that. This sandwich packed a lot of heat and was super tasty. I did have to add my mayo and ketchup to it cause that's just my thing but it was really good. I ordered my sandwich with a poutine and it was also really good. This is an excellent casual fast food burger restaurant. The owner is wonderful, warm and friendly, offers a deal every time! I got a free upgraded bun, and extra fries. (I did spend $16 with tax guys, but still!) BTW. Some readers wonder how I can rate a place 5 stars when it's just fast food, not Canoe/Ruby Watchco, etc. I'm rating 5 stars based on OTHER fast food burger places! Just what I needed on a cold hungry night! They also have healthy options, such as a veggie burger, a grilled chicken burger, turkey burger and a WILD salmon filet. And on that topic...... It's rare to get wild salmon in a fast, casual, or even higher end restaurant (and most don't say on the menu, you MUST ASK!!). Most of it is FARMED, which has mercury in it...which isn't good for us. At all. Same with what's in the supermarket folks! Read your labels, and ASK! You can generally tell by the price... But still, always ask! And read labels on salmon cans. I was dying to try the milkshake, I hear they're good, but I was just too DAMNED cold! -19 with the freaking wind chill.... Bite me winter... Which it did! I'll try it when it's warmer, assuming that it ever is for more than a couple of days in a row! Also, hats off to them for offering LIGHT MAYO....... Absolutely terrible burgers- worse patties than Harveys, wendys, a&w, etc. tried the blue cheese burger- was green sauce and horrible.

Went to the location at Bayview and Yor Mills. Fast and friendly service by Aditi and Jagbeer. Tried the spicy vegetarian burger combo. I liked that they had an option of multi-grain bun. The onions and jalapeños were a nice touch read more

It was the first time ever trying anything from Hero Burger. I'm a huge flame broiled fan, so I need to take 1/2 a star off this review. Only because I'm not a fan of dripping grease. So, I should preface this by saying that I'm vegetarian, which can lead to a pretty skewed review of a burger joint. But as it happens, I actually REALLY like Hero Certified Burgers! Their vegetarian burger, the "Soul Burger" is one of the tastiest vegetarian burgers I've had. Even though this is a chain QSR, it doesn't have that feel to me since you can completely customize your burger. I like mine on a sesame poppy seed bun, with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, tons of pickles, low fat mayo, and a little bit of Hero hot sauce. So tasty! They also have delicious milkshakes (I always get strawberry). I'm not a fan of their French fries (hence 4 stars instead of 5), but it's pretty much a non-issue for me since I get their great onion rings if I want something to go with my burger. less then impressed comes to mind. came here to get food, they ran out of pickles, the ran out of poutine cheese, and after taking payment for food and milkshakes, they came back and said the milkshake machine was broken. thankfully we got a refund for the milkshakes, as for the poutine, we were told that we would be compensated for the gravy in order to make us happy for them not having the poutine cheese. after checking my bill, they charged us for the gravy afterall. the food is great, but the service is lackluster and great miscommunication is present between the staff and customers, as I experienced this when waiting for our food to be finished. it would take a lot for me to come back to this store. street parking exists if you can find it, with a pay for parking lot on the opposite end. transit options are the 501 queen streetcar/bus. a couple of other better options are in the area. read more

Wasn't what I had in mind of a burger bit still delicious. The veggie burger was absolutely incredible but it doesn't taste like the usual "Beyond Meat" You could find at McDonalds. I don't often review chain restaurants because I wrongfully always assume that the quality and experience aren't noticeably different between them. I was wrong. I've been to several Hero locations and this is by far the best one I've been to. We've been here twice and got the gluten free soul burger. The burgers tasted outstandingly fresh and it was evident that it was assembled with care. Service was great both times too. Bonus: amazingly clean bathrooms (yes, it matters). Casual fast dining need not be overlooked. Simple = good, sometimes, and this Hero Burger's got your simple fix back. read more

Cashier at the front gave me a free extra drink with the meal I ordered and literally held the door for me as I walked out. It doesn't get better than that. Hero burger is notoriously my fav burger spot to date; but this meal was for my boyfriend and I was taking out so I can't speak too much on it. It was empty and I was the only person there so that probably played a factor; but regardless it's worth a mention that the service was A++. read more

One of the best locations I've been to! I have had some bad experiences at hero burger where the food wasn't so fresh. Everything was on point at this location. The probability of satisfaction is not at the great expense of what it means to have a saviour burger. The way the toppings collide with the certified burger make the trip to Hero's worth while. The pricing menu is ideal while the selection makes the mouth watering temperature mesmerizing. The downfall to this burger joint is recalling the menu options as there are ways to complicate the ingredients that make the experience to satisfaction a longer journey then it needs to be. Overall a pleasant place to dine dinner and a movie are ideal for the experience of Hero's certified burgers. read more

Second time visiting since it opened. Management were very nice. They came to our table twice to ask how everything was and if we needed anything else. Staff are very friendly. Food was great as usual for Hero burger. It's more than a McDonald's burger, but the quality is much better. read more
