There was a big frozen ball [of lint] up in this roof vent, but he was able to break it up and blow everything out with compressed air...he had a special tool on the end of the airline that kind of whips around and broke everything up and blew it all out...when he went and looked [he] could see all the stuff kind of blown out onto the roof...[he] tested the air flow and it was great. These guys had a very specialized truck and equipment that were certainly prepared to do the job no problem. JG was prompt on getting back to us right away with an estimate. We then spoke to Amanda who helped us figure what we needed and book us a time and day. The owner Jimmy arrived with Oscar to take care of us that day. They gave us a text about a 1/2 hr before that they were in route. Jimmy was very friendly and explained everything as he was working, showing us videos of the inside of the vents as he started cleaning them. They worked promptly to look around the house to start working. They first covered all the vents and brought in their equipment. Each Individual vent was cleaned. Th package included the dryer vent and furnace but we paid extra to get the bathroom fan cleaned inside and thru the outside. They cleaned up and were done in about 1.5 hrs for our 2600'sq ft house. I would definitely recommend them for any duct work you have. They were very prompt, professional and have great customer service!

We looked around and read many reviews. We decided to contact Twin Cities Furnace Cleaning. They did not answer the phone right away but I received a call very quickly. I explained the situation and how we have some allergies, and they took the time to listen and go over all the details. They then recommended Steve who is the go-to guy when it comes to allergies as well as other things related. We set up an appointment with Steve, and Steve arrived early. He set up his equipment and was very mindful about making a mess as well as getting things dirty and wet. He took his time to explain as well as show me what was going on and answer all my questions. Because of allergies Steve took his time and made sure each vent was cleaned as best as possible. The things I saw in the ductwork were scary, which had built up over the years of this property. After he was done, we swapped the air filter and within 20 minutes of running, I could smell the difference in the air. The air felt lighter and did not have a heavy feel. Also, my air purifiers were not reading off the charts anymore. Steve did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend him as well as Twin Cities Furnace Cleaning. I ended up getting their Ultimate cleaning or whatever the highest one was, and compared to other places, it was cheap. The price you pay for what you get is a bargain. It ended up being $541.00 with tax and worth every penny.

BEWARE: Independent contractors are used by this company who carry their own insurance. I had an…read moreunfortunate situation where a furnace drain hose was bumped out of place by one of this company's independent contractors causing a leak in my ceiling weeks before my house was to close to a new owner. My claim was declined. The insurance company required unrealistic things like a photo of the space prior to incident showing the hose in place. Who takes pictures of their furnace? This resulted in a costly last-minute repair to my ceiling. Essentially this means that you are at the mercy of a potential crappy insurance policy carried by the contractor and that the owner takes no personal responsibility for potential damage.

In particular before hiring them, they Jerome with whom we had regular contact, was very responsive. That was the deciding factor before hand for us. Some companies didn't even return our calls. He asked us to count the HVACs, send photos of the units and their returns, and count the returns etc in each room of the home. This helped him to provide a cost and time estimate for the job. He assured us that no matter what that would be the max of the cost then. On the day of the job, he was timely, courteous, professional. This kind of service is very personal as they need access to the entire home, and Jerome treated our entire home very kindly. He gave us a breakdown of what to expect - because of some of the accordion style vent materials he would have to use more delicate means to prevent puncture. This would mean that getting things 100% clean is not likely. At this point I asked if we hired their services each year or more regularly if that would help, and he said it wouldn't. He recommended every seven years - it was an opportunity to mislead us but he didn't. Throughout the two full days of work, he was always straightforward, professional, and trustworthy. He cleaned up after himself as well. Furthermore, our home is a mess with three little boys scattering toys everywhere - he handled it all in stride. The cost, for a 4500 sq ft home, 3 hvacs, etc home, which took 2 full days of work was $1700. Then they provided a 10% discount for us as Mayo employees. We provided a tip above and beyond for our gratitude for his exceptional work. We are very happy with his work through the whole process.
