We love Master Daniel and Daniela and K Martial Arts. The studio is exceptionally clean and they take care in following all Covid guidelines. Class is fun, fast-paced, and filled with physical and emotional learning experiences. My six-year-old loves it!

This is a great place to come to. Wow!…read more The Masters and all the other instructors are very knowledgeable, curteous, respectful, helpful and encouraging. My daughter is coming to K Martial Arts now for almost three months. She is always excited to go there, even when we are stuck in the car for up to 40min each way; it is worth coming. She would come every day, even when she is sore from working out. The children get rewarded and acknowledged by each member; they will be addressed and focused on as needed. Nobody gets left behind. I can trust her in their hands and just to do something else meanwhile, however when possible I like watch. When I ran late, they have her in the office supervised, or she can watch, or participate in the other class, but I would recommend to respect them and bring and get them on time. The owner/Master is always present. The other Master(s), plus the other instructors will stick with you throughout the class. There are always two members, plus the Masters, minimum. The children groups that I have observed so far are usually 8-16 children; most of the time around 10. The children get attention and rewarded with stars and strips, for each visit and for their accomplishments. Discipline and respect has much value here. They have a demo team and even the little ones with higher ranks/belts help out the other kids. It's all one group. Like little soldiers. It's most certainly a good way to show kids a way to be respectful, courteous, willing, disciplined and correct. Before being accepted, a Master and, or the owner/Master (with a long career in this sport) will test your child and see, if she, or he is ready for it. It's not just a place were: here is a uniform, show me the money honey and come as you please situation. Nor, signing any, or long contracts with penalties and up-selling gimmicks. Not here. This place is very clean, fairly new and very modern. The atmosphere is peaceful, besides from the enthusiastic screaming of the kids; haha. It is wide open and not as claustrophobic as many other places. You can comfortably watch them from behind the wood columns, an architectural feature and there is plenty of room to sit for at least 12 people. Parking is available onsite, but can be tricky on a Saturday, since there is a small Asian grocery store right next to it. There is also a cellphone store and dry cleaner place that share the lot. There are parking spots in front and behind the building. Besides that, during the week, you won't have any issues finding a spot. Clothing and other protective gear is readily available to purchase at reasonable prices; comparing to some other stores and places. One uniform is included during the sign up. Replacements cost money, but they are reasonable priced. There are no gimmicks and sales pitches. They will not hassle you for money and try to sell you something else. Instead you will be provided with an honest feedback of your child. The *price is pretty much set and you may come one to six times per week, it doesn't matter. She is so excited about the sport and language, it's crazy. My daughter often requests to listen to Disney songs in Korean and tries her moves out on me. Parents, watch out! Haha! I probable could sing by now the Belle song from Beauty and the Beast in Korean. She has me blast them in the car each and every day... This place is not just for children. There are adult classes, mixed classes and other options available. It is most certainly worth coming to K Martial Arts. Why don't you give them a try? Be respectful, be on time and be clean to keep this place nice. It's a gem. Thank you K Martial Arts Team! Hannes P. * Prices and terms may vary after this review. Our monthly price and conditions were set on 02/2019. This is an honest, unrequested and not substituted review. I rarely write reviews, unless I feel it is worth writing about it.

I practiced martial arts for a little while as a kid and I hated it.. My husband also practiced elsewhere and went on to be a black belt. We started over here, and have continued, as a family doing family classes twice a week and then having the kids do 1 dragons class per week and we'll do 1 adult class per week. I was very pleasantly surprised at how different it was from what I expected. We've progressed several belts, and we've certainly grown stronger, with better balance in the process, and feel more confident in being able to defend ourselves. My children are continually learning values of respect, obedience, and self control. Children are unable to progress without parental permission and acknowledgement that the child is working on different things in home life. We really love this aspect and it's worked so well in shaping our kids. We tell the children the areas of improvement they need, and before earning stripes to progress to new belts they have to answer in front of everyone to how they're doing on those things, and they have to ask us for permission to get their stripes. This helps make it even more apparent to the kids also, and forces them out of their comfort zone.. they love to be praised in front of the class, and bummed when they're told they haven't improved enough in an area.. but they become super eager to correct the behavior. Mr Affon is the teacher and he's very nice and patient; he's especially wonderful with kids. Mr Ozuna, the Grand Master, is also very nice and wonderful with the children. Classes are by age for "Dragons" (the little ones.. I think til age 7) then by level after that, other than family classes. They have options Monday thru Saturday. Other options here: - Birthday Parties - Summer Camps - Day Camps - Parents Night Out (one Saturday per month) This is my kids favorite camp by far! & we love the 4-hour date nights. The location is great and parking is more than plentiful. It has a very small family feel, as you'll see the same faces over and over and everyone cheers each other on. A lot of the kids and teens love it so much that they volunteer to help with camps and with younger kids and lower ranking classes also. Never stop fighting.. A black belt is a white belt that never gave up.

USA TKD is the national governing body for Taekwondo and the U.S. National team for the Olympics. The owner seemed knowledgeable about TKD and is, as mentioned above certified with the national governing body. The studio was very clean, safe and aesthetically pleasing. The seating for parents was comfortable and adequate in numbers. Box cubicles were available for students to place their belongings keeping the dojang organized and orderly. The workout area was padded with just enough cushioning to be able to execute techniques, without causing cumulative trauma from jump kicks and spinning kicks. The monthly rates seemed very reasonable with sliding rates depending on number of classes per week attended and a discount for families. They struck a fine balance between traditional TKD teaching and modern American coaching. The negatives were that NO techniques were taught the entire first class that I observed. The designated instructor did not show up until the half way mark of the class. When the assigned instructor came in, he continued stretching for the remainder of the class. It was basically a stretching class. The second class I observed was the sparring class on Friday that was scheduled for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. I left at 6:25 p.m. when they hadn't even started sparring and spent the entire 25 minutes doing a short warm-up followed by stretching. Again, no warm up kicks or punches. After spending close to an hour during classes, I did not observe a single kick or punch. This is totally different from any of the other dojangs I have visited where punching and kicking is an integral part of the warm up. I observed the students were consistently coming in late for class and can't blame them if they are doing half hour plus static stretching sessions. I observed that the majority of students were lower ranking and few teenagers were present. This could indicate problems with retention, motivation, and programming. Recommend that if you are looking for a serious martial art program, keep on looking.
