Unfortunately I got a barber who's was terrible and I brought my son as well we both ended up with sub par haircuts I asked for a low fade and got a choppy hair cut with my side burns faded uneven. My wife even laughed at me when I walked in the door. I will say the owner was nice and I overheard a call he was on with another disgruntled customer he made things right. However I wont be going back even if it was on the house. Go to Millenium barber shoo ask for Derek or Carlos they are actually legit barbers who can Fade and give you the cut you ask for. Very torn by this review. I have been a loyal customer, and consistently gotten a good cut here for many years. But several significant price increases over the last couple years has put this shop out of my ability to afford. It's doubled since I started going...now $25 for men & 20 for kids, the most recent increase was 25% jump. With tips, that's a half a day's pay for me and kids. I understand costs and inflation is significant but not at those rates. Until now, I never stopped going, just continued to reduce the frequency of visits from every 2 weeks to once every 6-8 weeks. But was forced to find another barber and there are several in the area that are just as good for less. Do yourself a favor and look around. There are some really good barbers elsewhere, I just never had a reason to look. That is, unless you just like throwing your hard earned money away. read more

The other reviewers stated there is a wait and that would likely be true because they do things right. My first experience there was when they had a considerable wait and the owner gave me updates several times and apologized for the wait but in all honesty I showed up with no appointment and there was several people waiting before me when I walked in. I personally enjoyed the environment and they seem to be a staple business in our community, everyone came in like they'd be going there for years. On the haircut itself, even in a room with people waiting he didn't try to shortcut my experience and was beyond focused on making my hair and beard tight. I've never really gone to barber shops since I was a kid I've always tagged along where my wife goes or gone to these quick service men's haircut places. Very likely the best haircut and beard trim I've ever had. Nothing to do with the style alone, it was how meticulous he was in the cut. The decor was cool, super hero pictures and figures. Highly recommend you give it shot. Remember this isn't a fast food restaurant. Have some patience and enjoy the atmosphere. read more

Great barber shop! Wait time wasn't bad at all. Instead of chairs in the waiting area there are couches that were comfy. All over the walls are comic books. There are also lots of action figures and toys. It's interesting. The barbers all seemed good and friendly. I didn't see anyone that was unhappy with their cut. There were lots of kids getting cuts as well as men. Our barber was extremely friendly and seemed like a great person. I think he is probably one of those people that gets to know everyone. We had just met him but while we were there we were a part of the group. My 10 year old son is autistic and HATES having his hair cut. I never know what is going to happen when he is up in that chair. Thankfully he was treated nicely and the barber must have had a gentle touch because my son didn't act scared at all. Cuts are amazing when youcan get one. I showed up at 11:45 and sat and waiting while 3 barbers became open at one point or another during that time frame and no cut. Walked out after waiting an hour plus and it wasn't even that busy. When you able to get a cut great cuts for sure but the fact if your not friends with them they ignore you. I will never go back again ever and won't recommend this place to anyone for a cut locally. read more

I have passed by this place many times without going in. After finally going in I was sad I didn't try it sooner. Friendly staff, great haircuts for me and my 7yr old son. Asked for a bald face and got one of the best haircuts I've had in a long time. My son looked fantastic as well. I actually thought they charged too little for the quality and time spent on our cut. Absolutely wonderful barbershop for the little ones. I've taken my son multiple times since he was 14 months and they've been able to handle him with no issues...and my son is a wild one at times. They have the cutest little car seat that my son plays with while the barbers work their magic. The entire store is decorated with comic books which is absolutely amazing and my little one loves it - he loves Spiderman and will always point him out. Instead of boring chairs to wait in, they have big comfortable couches which can help with small talk with other patrons, if that's your thing. We've gone on a Saturday which is one of their busiest days and a day they do not take appointments, but the wait was really not that bad. I wrote my name down and then went and grabbed a nice brew at Bullfrog Brewing, it is NEXT door. I keep going back to Heroes Only Barber Shop for many reasons, but mostly because the barbers really make you feel welcomed. They remember us every time we go in there. Five stars for amazing service! My 5 year old son is autistic with sensory issues and has a difficult time getting his hair cut. After several failed attempts at cutting his hair at home, I took a chance and took him over to Heroes. Our barber, Jerry Luis, was not only super patient with my son, but went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and entertained throughout the entire cut. No tears, no tantrums, no meltdowns. He must be an angel in disguise because my son has never sat so well for a haircut. Having a child with special needs brings on many challenges, but I am so happy to have found someone who has made this specific one, a little less challenging. The customer service here is top-notch, I would highly recommend going in to see Jerry for your next cut. read more

Went there the the first time with my 3 year old and was pleasently surprised. It was busy especially with younger boys with their dads and moms. The atmosphere reminded me of the original barber shops. Everyone was chatting and laughing. The little ones also enjoyed their cuts without crying. The barber's did a great job. The owner is a huge plus to this place but can be in your face but i prefer that however his back up crew of loud mouthed side kicks are just another bowl of flavor. Rene is the best among that group in terms of quality while the others are just interested talking to each other in their preferred language. I am fine with them conversing but not so in my ear & loud. Rene was my guy but then while sitting there i wanted to know if they were conversing about me or other customers so i recorded them & played it to my friend who happens to know the language & apparently they were ridiculing the shoes of a customer & another mans wife who was instructing how she wants her husbands hair cut. The place itself is a plus as it is different from other barber shops with their super heroes interiors. The last guy who gave me a cut cant recollect his name who was thin & super short had a very bad breathe so that didn't help which added to this review. In short i live by Big Bend & it is still quite a drive. so now have opted to give them a miss as i know they just dont make me comfortable they will be talking about me as well. I have succeeded in pursuing my two other neighbors also to give it a miss as i did initially recommend it to them however after i played the audio clip they have decided otherwise. I do not recommend!! I was referred here and the reviews indicated that Eric would take great care of my little one during his very first haircut. I spoke with Eric personally and made an appointment for my 2yr old to have his haircut with him, the owner. He assured me that it would be a positive first haircut experience for my family. When we excitedly arrived, at our scheduled time, we were not greeted warmly and Eric was not coming in that day. The other barbers asked me if I had the owners phone number because they didn't. The special child's car barber seat was not setup and the appointment book did not list that it was a child's first haircut or who it was scheduled with. Nobody called me to reschedule or inform me that Eric would not be keeping our appointment. I cannot comment on the quality of the haircuts here because we never made it past the entrance and my child left crying. The customer service was very poor. This was not a positive, happy first haircut for my child or my family. read more
