A HUGE shout out to Hero's Towing and Recovery. I was looking at a 475.00 parts and labor bill from one of the big names companies in town. I took a chance with Hero's and boy did they come thru for me. Turns out, I didn't need the alternator that I was told was needed. Eugene Thompson and Mr. Alan found what the real problem was and it turned out to be a 40.00 repair. They now have a customer for life. Thanks again Hero's for being honest. read more

Worst tow company ever!! I was in a car accident and heros was called by the police to tow my car. i called the guy that hit me insurance company to file a claim they assigned an adjuster to my claim and i never heard from the adjuster!!! so i got an attorney i was under the impression that my car had to sit at the tow lot so an adjuster could come out and look at the damages on my car that's why i didn't go get it. 40 something days later i finally find out that the guy didn't have insurance i would've been went to go get my car had i known. The guy at heroes was threatening me to file for an abandoned title and everything. I asked him could i get some type of discount because it wasn't my fault that my car had to sit at the tow yard all that time. He wasn't reasonable at all. I Was told that the charges would be $1300 if i came to pick it up on the first of the month Which is extremely unaffordable. I asked them to work with me and they refused. i called one day when i got off work around 6 i was told that their office was closed but online it says they're open 24/7! So i would have to pay for the weekend which is 3 extra days! Finally my bf called and spoke with the guy and said he would "work with us" I called the following Monday morning i was told it would be $1125 for 45 days at $25 per day, and that he took the weekend off. I called back around monday evening i was told i had to pay $1225! i said why is it that when you quoted me $1125 earlier he then said i had to pay a 150 towing fee that i had no knowledge of!!!! why wasn't i told that price when i first called!!! the math didn't even add up because 45x25=$1125 STILL. he basically still charged me almost 1300 that's wayyyyy too much to pay for a car that's been sitting Up in a yard Considering my situation i didn't know that i couldve gotten my car and i explained that to him he made as if it was my fault that the car was at the yard all of that time. On top of that i use my car for work so to have to pay almost $1300 to get my car back that's STILL wrecked is heartbreaking. This company is ran by money hungry crooks!!! Worst towing experience in my life. After my sons accident, I told the tow truck driver where I wanted the car towed to. My son was on the way to the hospital and I needed to stay with him Two days later I called Hero's to see where my car was. They said it was in their storage lot. I ask why they didn't take it to my mechanic and they said they didn't have a guarantee of payment, so in the lot it went. I had offered my credit card at the time of the accident & the driver said not to worry. Hero's wanted $800 to release my car. They only towed it 1-1/2 miles! They were so rude to me and they said the storage would cost $150 for each additional day! A friend told me to call the local police station to see why this had happened. A Detective told me that the tow should have only been s total of $250 and that included 3 days of storage. An hour later, the Detective called me and said my bill would only be $250. He said that the city had a contract with several tow companies and they rotate calling them. The towing co. was in violation of their contract and the were issued a warning. Another warning and Heros would lose the contract! When I showed up to get the car, they tried to get $300 from me! I told them what the Detective told me and Hero's started talking trash about the Detective. I got out my phone and began to call the Detective. Hero's changed their mind pretty quick and said that all I needed to pay was $250! The contract with the police was set up so that those in an accident could have time to get their cars in incase the customers were severely injured and kept at the hospital. Hero's are crooks and they careless about a person's well being and more about the almighty dollar! Unethical, crooked, liars, thieves, bullies, & heartless THUGS!!! STAY FAR AWAY FROM HERO'S, BECAUSE THEY ARE A POOR EXCUSE OF A HERO!!! read more
