I have been going to Raymond's Turkey Farm for years. And I mean years…read more We order our turkey for Thanksgiving every year and wait in line, well if you've been there, you know the drill. Hurry up and wait. But...the turkey is well worth waiting for. Juicy, tender delicious. I've read some other reviews for Raymond's and I think there are more factors involved than just blaming Raymond's for the way their turkey turned out. Overcooking, under buying the size, etc. In all the years I have never got a turkey that was dry and tough as other describe. I go during the year and buy turkey pies, but my favorite are their chicken pies. They don't always have them, so if you are interested, call ahead. They slice the chicken which I love. I think the slicing allows for more chicken in the pie than cubes. I want a chicken pie, not a gravy pie. The turkey is the same. Jam packed with turkey. I keep several in the freezer especially in the Winter. There are very few placed that have good turkey and chicken pies. Trust me, I've tried them all. They also sell sliced cold turkey, turkey salad, al the typical Thanksgiving sides, turkey meatballs, meatloaf, shepherd's pie, soups, turkey burgers, turkey sausage and various turkey parts. This is a place well worth trying, and if you go at holiday time make sure you are ready to hurry up and wait. They can't help that they are slammed with business at that time of year.

They grow a huge fun assortment of so many plants and veggies and unique plants I've never heard of nor seen and usually have bios of everything there. Unfortunately, they grow so many it's not always kept up with for each plant and I'm no pro so I do wish there there more to read and learn about but the staff are very knowledgeable and willing to page in any questions you may have as well. Usually some cute pups bouncing around too! I almost always get a full cart and it's on avg 150-200 for SO much! Also, I don't think I've ever had any plants that died bc they were sickly from there ... I def have killed some due to my own negligence RIP (but I'm no pro ... I keep trying though lol) I did get one one yr w aphids but that's the name of the game sometimes and they have good prices on tools sprays and dirt too if you need. The area can be a little hot so prepare for that and the service in west glo is dreadful ( not their fault either but just keep that in mind for if you think you're going to look up certain plants bc you can't) ... consider it a good time to reconnect w nature instead highly HIGHLY recommend checking them out if you're local and never been or just getting into gardening!

We arrived at 10 am and there were fewer than 10 cars in the lot. This is mid October which is peak time so you can imagine how confused we were. $25 got us a small bag to fill. That was all we had to pay for the group of 5 of us! No ticket or bag per person requirements you see at other places. This is a pretty small orchard so by mid-October, I would guess only 1/3 of the trees had apples left. All of the Asian pears and other stone fruits were gone at this point so you'll want to go in September for those. We were still able to get 4-5 different varieties of apples. The only con is that you don't have all the other activities and attractions that you find at larger orchards. No apple cider donuts, farm animals, playground, food, or tractor rides. For us that was okay because my older parents and 1 year old didn't need those things and preferred the quiet experience without the lines. Maybe next year, we'll try Conner's when the little one is older and can appreciate it. If you want low key apple picking without paying a fortune, this is the place for you.

They have acres of apple trees and none of the crowds you see in other places. There were only 5 other cars the entire time we were there...felt like we had the place to ourselves. No frills, no nonsense. Just tons of delicious ripe apples, a beautiful landscape (great for family photos), and super friendly staff. The only downside (not their fault) is that the farm is really close to the Topsfield Fair, so many of the adjacent roads have "closed" signs to prevent neighborhood traffic. If coming from the South, do yourself a favor and ignore the closed signs. Otherwise you might never get here.

The place was easy to find and a little under an hour outside of Boston. The selection of Christmas trees is great! The plots of them just keep on going--made decision making very rough. They have probably almost 10 different varieties of trees. All trees cost $60, regardless of size or type. Additionally, the owner was extremely nice and offered help cutting down the trees and helping to move them with his truck if they're too big to drag back. He even gives you a business card with his cell phone on it so you don't have to go find him in case you need that help! He was also super knowledgable about his varieties and helped me narrow down my search (I was looking for a super fragrant tree).

The field is larger than I expected and the flowers are stunning. After walking through the flower field we checked out the bunnies and we even got to pet one.
