When I called to dispute the charge and let them know that I didn't even open the closet or this supposed brown blanket was. They pretty much told me I was out of luck. I asked if I should be asking them to inventory the room upon my arrival and my departure and they said it's not necessary. I said is it possible the staff forgot to put the blanket in the closet? They said no, we do weekly room checks and our staff does not make that mistake. Definitely won't be staying there again and I have passed the message along to all my coworkers to also not stay there. I've always enjoyed my time there but for some reason they think I wanted a brown closet blanket.

There is also more gravel rather than lawn, which limits the usable space of the "backyard". The water views are still lovely and the bushes, flowers, shrubbery nice and well-maintained. Years ago, we were unable to use our own caterers without a lot of negotiation, additional costs and proof of insurance, not to mention covering the costs of the caterers transportation (which we offered to do). The staff over a decade ago felt impersonal and stand-offish, unfriendly and not wishing to be bothered by confirming reservations, nor addressing any questions we had in regards to our wedding day and the property. I hope things have gotten better, and that the people one works with now are more communicative, friendly and happy/willing to help.

The property is absolutely gorgeous and immaculately maintained--every corner is picture-perfect. It was an incredible backdrop for one of the most important days of your life. These memories and pictures are priceless. What really sets this venue apart is Andrea (the owner). She went above and beyond throughout the entire process, making everything feel seamless and stress-free. Her wealth of knowledge and experience is invaluable, and I can't recommend enough that you take her advice and listen to her vendor recommendations. From the breathtaking grounds to the exceptional service, Red Cedar Farm exceeded every expectation. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue or a better experience. If you're considering this venue, book it--you won't regret it! -Nicole G.

Everyone taking a look at the goats, burros, and chickens. And of course, the pinball machines were a huge hit for all who attended. The shuttle from the overflow lot to the grounds was flawless, continually running until everyone had arrived. Andrea was awesome, providing umbrellas for the wedding for the quick storm that passed through during the ceremony; she bartended when one could not be found; and even quickly responded to a spill on the dance floor. I can't say enough good about the venue or how much Andrea did to make my daughter and son-in-laws wedding so memorable. I will recommend Red Cedar Farm to all.

Out of the country, etc...But we never heard of Dahlia Cove. Only reason why I found this place was because of Yelp. All four of us were pleasantly surprised. You first walk in and they had an array of cute items for purchase. Of course I had to get a teapot necklace. It's a family owned business. The owner and her family were great hostess. Not to mention the food was wonderfully delicious. And we've been to some pretty nice afternoon tea places. This one was one of our faves. It's quite a drive, so it would have to be for special occasions. I would totally take my family here. I know my husband would even enjoy it. The decor was fun. We all loved it. Place was also clean. With some many businesses including tea places closing we hope this place thrives, and stay busy. Until we meet again.

We especially loved the vanilla horchata rooibos and the scones (with clotted cream, lemon curd, and strawberry jam). The service was attentive, without being intrusive. This was an experience we definitely look forward to repeating in the future. Pro-Tip: If you are stuck, ask the server for recommendations on tea offerings. I tried something I might never have considered, and it was delicious.

Very easy to book and contract with. Never a problem. Very attentive staff from the Sales Manager, Ms. Shelby Nelson, to the hospitality folks who set up, greet my team, put all the food and beverages out, and tear down. Absolutely top notch! One of my favorite things in life to do is eat. I'm the person who generally works to get the contract solidified between my organization and the catering service. Therefore, I get to choose from an awesome array of things to eat for our visit. We have breakfast and lunch catered for our retreats, and usually choose to eat dinner in the Bistro. Check out my Yelp review of the Bistro! We are always provided very tasty and fresh food. As I write this review, in the moment, I'm reminiscing about the pesto quarter chicken, dinner rolls, salad bar and nacho bar we had for lunch during one of our retreats there! Oh, and they have absolutely accommodated every allergy and dietary need that has been requested by me. I love the service, the food, the conference room, the hotel, and everything related. My entire staff do as well. Yes, I am a betting person so let me say....I bet you will love everything about them too! And, if for some odd reason you don't, just let them know...they will do all they can to satisfy you and make your experience not only a good one, but a trusted one as well.

After searching and searching I literally was about to give up and just elope, but then I came across Kingston House. We managed to snag the last summer weekend that would work for our schedules and I am so, so happy it worked out. As a wedding venue: The venue was everything I'd hoped for. The property is enormous, lush, and well cared for. There are so many beautiful little areas that each have their own feel. From fields, to a huge pond, to forest, to gardens, you name it. I loved how people could explore and enjoy the day without feeling squeezed into a small space or told they can't roam. It was really important to us that our guests would feel comfortable, and they did! We had a beautiful early summer day so we could go with our Plan A option of having our ceremony in front of the pond and the reception up above. But Matt has some great alternatives that would work if the weather is bad. This was a big anxiety reliever for me because of course the weather here is unpredictable. I knew that even if it rained, we'd have a beautiful spot for both the ceremony and reception. The location: Kingston was a perfect spot for us. We had a lot of people coming from Seattle and Bellingham, and a good group flying in, as well. Kingston is the perfect distance to feel sort of like a destination without actually requiring a huge trip for people. Our guests could drive home if they wanted, or rent a property nearby (there are LOTS of options). And of course, adding a ferry ride is fun! As long as you and your guests know how to plan for it, that is. I was relieved that none of our guests misjudged the timing and everyone made it there when they should. The driving directions were also super easy to follow, so no one got lost. And Matt's team was there to help guide our guests into the property and find the best place to park. The house: I mean, the HOUSE! We stayed Thursday night just the two of us (highly recommend) and then both of our immediate families stayed with us Friday and Saturday nights. There was plenty of room for everyone. But honestly this house was freaking magical. Every square inch was beautiful, styled to perfection, comfortable, and full of history and character. Matt has an excellent eye and has filled the home with interesting and super aesthetic furniture, art, and knick knacks. And then of course it's perfectly stocked and comfortable, and had everything we needed and more. It's such a gift that we can also go back to Kingston House someday since he rents it on Airbnb. We're planning to come back for sure, and hopefully make it a family tradition. Matt: Matt was so great to work with. Responsive and communicative, helpful, and so committed to making your day/weekend perfect. He really knows how to host a wedding and has clearly done this many times. He brought a wonderful level of calm to the weekend and has incredible attention to detail. He puts so much thought and care into the home and property, you can tell he takes pride in it. And he should! We loved working with Matt and look forward to seeing him again someday when we come back. Also he has a very cute dog, bonus points!

As the evening went on, it got colder than expected and once again, Matt and crew jumped into action to get the heaters up and running without the guests ever noticing. Everyone had a great time. The wedding party had a gorgeous and comfortable place to stay for two nights. We could not have asked for anything more. We highly recommend Kingston House!!
