After the initial adrenaline wore off, days passed, and pain became prevalent, I knew something was terribly wrong. I'd never been in a serious accident, so I was very concerned about the next steps in the process. I knew I needed an attorney, but I wasn't sure who to choose. Given my profession, I knew there were certain qualities I wanted the person representing me to have, and after googling accident attorneys in Houston, reading client reviews, and client results, I decided to call Mr. Kadlec's office and that was the best decision I've made thus far. When l initially called, Sam was the first person I spoke with, gave all the details, and voiced my concerns to. Sam was honest and upfront from the initial conversation informing me that every case was different, and unfortunately, the law office didn't take on every case, he explained that he would consult with Mr. Kadlec to see if their law office could assist my daughter and I, and that he would let me know the outcome either way. Within 24 hours, Sam reached out to me, and informed me that after consulting with Mr. Kadlec, he was pleased to announce that Mr. Kadlec could represent me in this matter. Within the first 72 hours of my initial contact, I spoke with Mr. Kadlec personally, and from beginning to end, Mr. Kadlec has always been professional, compassionate, honest, and most importantly diligent. Mr. Kadlec always told me "if you have any questions, you can always call me, and if I'm not available, you can speak with my paralegal Tram, she'll take good care of you". Normally, this is a generic statement made without any due diligence on the opposite end, but with Mr. Kadlec, this wasn't the case, and has held true from beginning to end. I am a detailed oriented individual, but Tram has never had an issue with my amount of questions, or the detailed responses that I need. Tram has always been warm, friendly, understanding, and empathetic to the situation, my concerns, fears, and uncertainties, and despite the happiness I feel for my case to be resolved, I'm going to miss Tram and her sweet demeanor, positive attitude, and willingness to assist. This was a very trying time for my family and I, but Mr. Kadlec and Tram made this time so much easier to deal with. Based on the reviews I'd read, it seemed most attorneys had arrogant demeanors, expected you to understand the legal terminologies, never placed themselves in your shoes, and never had time for you as an individual, and rarely as a client... I can honestly say, this was not the case for my attorney and his team. While I hope to never be involved in an accident again, the reality is I reside in the Greater Houston area, so my future endeavors are uncertain, but one thing that is certain, is that if I ever need representation in another automobile accident, I know who to call! Oh, how valued I felt. I would argue that this firm treats all native English speakers with the same level of disdain. If you are dealing with a federal case -- something serious, something with real stakes -- you deserve a firm that treats your situation with basic professional respect. Pines Federal does not. They will let you reach out repeatedly while your clock is ticking and say absolutely nothing. I have since filed a formal complaint with the state bar. There are good federal defense attorneys out there. This firm is apparently too busy -- or too indifferent -- to be one of them. Save yourself the time, the anxiety, and the false hope. Go somewhere that will actually pick up the phone.
